Kit had ridden the elevator to the top floor and was about to exit when he was blocked by a wall, strange why was there a wall in front of the door? Oh, he thought as he looked up, that was no door that was a very, very large man. Perhaps he had overstepped a teeny bit by coming up here. When the guard spoke angrily to him he stepped back and simply looked at him with a bored expression, this man could probably snap him like a twig and though he could probably heal from that he didn't want to try. It was as he was walking into the elevator that he noticed Sue. Continuing the bored expression the bodyguard warned not to return. Probably a good idea, better yet let’s not get next time around, he thought to himself. He saw Sue mouth sorry to him. Feeling bad that he had made this situation Kit looked at her and broke into a smile, winking at her and then returned to a bored expression as they rode the rest of the way down exiting into the open air
Sue returned a wink, and bit her tongue, an expression showcasing the slightest of rebellion she felt.
The three exited the elevator, and to her surprise the bodyguard had stopped following. She knew she was still being watched but Sue supposed that they knew she could handle herself without being too bothered with a new friend.
She followed him more really to the cafeteria. The place had started to crowd up, and after quickly scooping up some food onto her tray she went to the outside of the cafeteria, the tables out in the open with the umbrella covers she had not noticed before. It was quieter, and it wasn’t as busy as she thought it to be since Sue and he were considerably earlier to breakfast.
He sat with her on the same table. Her bag was not with her since it was PE next, so she had no real way of communicating with him. So, she thought back to the elevator, and lightly punched the boy on his arm, and started snickering with laughter – had she actually been able to produce sound, it would have sounded like a high-note puppy. Her breakfast tray was filled to the brim; her appetite was always huge and needed to be quenched before she got grumpy.
