"Security issues?" Anthony repeats incredulously, "That implies that there's at least some sort of plan in place to protect the students. However, in my experience, that's not the case at all. You leave the students to just fend for themselves against one of the X-Men's greatest foes? I understand the need for tactile training, but that's just reckless endangerment of the young lives entrusted to you." He pauses for a few seconds then continues with a self-satisfied smile, "And don't even get me started on how ridiculously easy it is to break into the safe containing files on the entire student body."

After taking a deep breath and returning to his usual level of nonchalance, Anthony remarks, "Although I have many concerns regarding the Academy's security, I can't deny the effectiveness of the teaching staff. So, I will continue funding the school under two conditions. I assume the position of Assistant Dean and handle the day to day operations of the Academy. By extension, I will also take control of the currently defunct security measures."

Ben shrugs, "I really don't know how I could help you get your memories back when I can't remember anything from the past three weeks or so. Have you talked to Professor X about it?"

Kijani managed a smile and looked at Kagerou. "You are an instructor, then? You don't look much older than me. Are you human?" Usually she would attempt some tact, but she just didn't care. She was tired and wanted to sleep for months.

Bruce's expression went cold. Then blank. "No" he said shortly "I already have someone in charge of the security, appointed today, and frankly, I trust her a hell of a lot more then I will ever trust you. See, Anthony, you are under the impression that I actually need your funding. There are always other sources, and other funding" he shook his head.

"It was never my intetion to leave the school undefended. with the many attacks to the general population, having a task force assemble quickly was necessary. But the school was never in any danger. The fastest of the teaching staff were here in moments, and found that the students had handled themselves, and those captured handled themselves. We are not a kinder garden to hold your hand through everything you do. But the fact that the school was without staff, is an over site and a mistake I will not make again. We fell for a trap, as even the best of us do sometimes. It won't happen again"

He sighed, as if what he was about to say was unpleasant. "I handle the day to day, as does Clark. However, you can undertake an assistant dean role, yet any decision has to be approved by Clark, or myself. That has how it has always been. And how it will be for you. And" and now Bruce smiled "technically, you are still a student as you have not graduated yet and thus, you still have to undertake lessons. I imagine that will help in the day to day schemes, as well as enabling you to access security, and work with Kagerou, who is now head of security, therefore fifilling both your conditions, although I imagine that wasn't what you had in mind"

Shaking her head solemnly Estella responds. He and J'onn couldn't get into my head. The mental blocks are too 'chaotic.' They say it's probably a defense mechanism, protecting myself from something. Kind of scares me because I have no idea what it could be.

Laughing out loud a little Kagerou clearly thought Kijani's question funny. Yes I get that a lot. I am in fact human, a cursed human, but human none the less. I stopped aging millennia ago." That was bound to bring up more questions eventually. But she said it like it was just a normal conversation piece. It was so long ago that giving out that little tidbit wouldn't lead anywhere no matter the amount of research.

Kijani lifted her eyebrows. "Millenia? Cool. You ever been to China? You should..." She yawned, rubbing her eyes. "You should tell me about China. But first, I'm going to sleep for the next millenia myself." She burrowed down under the blankets, weariness written all over her face.

Anthony shakes his head and says with a small chuckle, "Well played Mr. Wayne. I won't try to forcibly take control so it seems like you've won. However, since I wasn't sent here by a parent and I enrolled by myself, I can drop out any time I like. I choose to drop out as of this moment. I accept the position of Assistant Dean and I'll even consent to having my decisions be approved by you. Nevertheless, I will not agree to be underneath a witch. I will allow her to be a consultant but I am in charge of security. It's nothing personal, it's just business and in business, you have to make compromises."

Just a title, just a position. That was it. Kagerou would, he knew, report to him, and not Anthony. So let the young man have that, it would still amount to Kagerou being his. Or rather the schools. "Very well. But she is still head of security. She won't constant, I am sure of that, to being under you. And as you won't constent to being under her, then I think an equal position is in order. It's nothing personal" bruce said, deliberately using the same words "but Kagerou's stills and her background mean that she gets priority in what she wants. So an equal position of power for security is best. And that is all the comprimise you will get"

Phoebe

Phoebe pushed Nicholas along towards Power Development, looking about for Katherin, or Makoto, hoping to be able to catch up with her friends soon, and wanting to explain what had happened, and also ask if they were okay.

Connor

Connor didn't go far after leaving the infirmary, and leaned against a wall, closing his eyes, he drew in a breath and let it out, and did that for a few moments, to regain his bearings, and appear stable as he went about lessons. Not that he cared, but he didn't want to be asked a million questions, and was sure that Kijani wouldn't like it either.

He sighed, and then pushed off the wall, heading towards power development.

Kalinda

Kalinda at her lunch, feeling lonely not something she cared to feel, and not something she had wanted to feel again. She pushed away from her table, put the tray onto of a bin, and headed out the cafeteria, not looking around, merely wanting to be outside.

She knew she should head to close, but...she didn't want to see Arnold controlling her friends, to know that Arnold would do all he could to maintain that control. And it would also cause her to face what she was going to do, about him wanting to take control of the school. It felt like a betrayal, even though it could be argued that it wasn't.

She sighed, and started towards the classroom.

[Hidden Lilly]

Katherin considered it. It made sense. "I never thought about that. I will try. I have been working with ice on a large scale. You know slides and freezing people." She explained she tried to envision using her ice smaller portions. Sand rather than cement. Making it smaller would take practice. But she could do that. It would give her something to do. And maybe this weekend she could ask her dad for pointers.

Phoebe pushed Nicholas along towards Power Development, looking about for Katherin, or Makoto, hoping to be able to catch up with her friends soon, and wanting to explain what had happened, and also ask if they were okay.

Makoto smiled as the two walked through the hallways. She was still following Katherin, the school was so large it would take more than a day and a half to learn where everything was. It seemed like they would be there soon. Makoto was happy that her suggestion could help Katherin. They giggled and chatted the whole way to PD. Upon rounding the last corner to get to the PD classroom, Makoto noticed Phoebe and a boy in a wheelchair off down the opposite hallway.

"Hey, Phoebe!" Makoto called out, waving. Sincerely hoping that it was Phoebe, to save her from any embarrassment. The guy in the wheelchair was a stranger to her, but Phoebe seemed to know him closely.

Phoebe looked over at Makoto's call, and smiled brightly, stopping, and raising a hand in a wave, "hey, Gale!" She said brightly, glad her friend seemed to be okay, as well as calling Makoto by what she wanted to be called. "How are you? What have you been doing? Sorry I just disappeared. Things happened"

Anthony frowns, "The school is taking a thirty percent budget cut because you wouldn't meet my demands. However, I'll be spending the majority of that on improving the school's security anyway, so don't worry about it too much." He stands and says while leaving, "I'll be needing an office."

Ben glances at his watch and upon seeing the time, sighs. "It's time for class. I'll see you later, alright?"

Reinhardt was waiting outside of the office room hiding in the shadows waiting for Anthony to come out so he could talk to him,He had his arms folded under his chest quietly.

"You will find a suitable office waiting for you at the end of the day" bruce said, shutting the door after Anthony left, deliberately doing so, so that Anthony couldn't say anything more.

"It's the small victories that matter Luthor. One day the school will be yours. As soon as Wayne is out of the the way, that is." As the office door closes behind Anthony, he unknowingly passes Reinhardt and begins to meander through the hallway.

Reinhardt followed behind before giving a slow clap tha would get his attention,"My my Anthony I think I was correct and you have such a beautiful mind" He said with a smile on his face.

"Although I don't know why you talk to trash..." He added thinking about Anthony speaking Kijani and Connor.

Flood made it out of the infirmary with the supplies he needed and sighed slightly with a wide smile on his face. That nurse was two seconds from discovering him if he hadn't rolled under the desk. He made sure that his loot was hidden very well and brushed off some dirt from his clothes. "Now when is class?"

As he walked down the hall he was suddenly stopped by an invisible barrier. Kijani fast asleep meant that she wouldn't be harming herself for the moment. She'd also locked the door from the inside to keep other wandering students from waltzing in. Stepping into view Kagerou sized up the student. Deadpool's kid. She'd worked with and against the unstable mercenary in the past. Hard to avoid being on both sides of that given he could be a ally one minute and a enemy the next.

"I'm going to need you to return the things you stole. Don't bother denying it either. I have a lot more experience in that field than you may think." If she was going to be head of security then things were going to change. Starting with this little incident.

Perfect everything was working to Lee's advantage. The infirmary was sealed up and the authority figure inside had left. It was about time indeed, Lee's arms were growing tired from hanging from the ledge for so long. After taking his leave fromFFlood earlier Lee went to scope the infirmary out himself. When the woman detected him and Flood earljer outside the door he figured she would still be present by the time Flood arrived.

Now Kagerou had taken the bait. With a heave Lee pulled himself up and gently lifted the cracked window seal open. He didn't have much time to Flood either did something crazy or actually returned the items he had stolen. Lee slowly moved towards the cabinet relying on memory to plunder the few items he needed. Unfortunately not everything was present since Flood had most of it. It will have to do, he thought sticking several vials into his coat. Turning to leave Lee paused at the sight of the sleeping Khanji. He most jumped out of his skin for a moment and mentally facepalming at breaking Rule 11. Mind your surroundings.

It was time to go moving back to the window Lee made his way back out the window...but not before the window suddenly slammed down on his hand loudly. Pain shot tthrough Lee as he bit the collar of his coat. Yep his hand was now broken and it caused him to lose his grip and plumment from the second story window and land straight into a bush. "Ow..." Lee muttered in pain choosing to remain in the camouflage of the bush for a moment before limping away. "Rule 11 strikes again..." He said entering the building unintentionally bumping into someone in the process.

Kaden frowned as he stopped his conversation with Kat feeling someone accidentally walk into him. Turning around he was greeted by the sight of a thin young man gripping his hand in obvious discomfort. "Oh hello there....are you OK?" He asked Lee as the thief noticed Kat was present as well.

"Perfectly fine." Lee said through gritted teeth taking in a sharp gasp of air. He needed to get back to the Night Phantom and use some of the meds he had on board. "Name's Lee." He responded "I already know the lovely Kat next to you." He said with a small grin as Kaden could not hell but chuckle.

"Kaden" the demigod responded before looking at Kat. "Did your current or future boyfriend bump into us by chance?" He teased.

Flood looked at Kagerou. " Ok. I could return this stuff. Or, I'm just sayin or, I could not and instead I could blast you to smithereens with bullets." Flood pulled out two hand guns and began firing at insane speeds. He then threw a colored smoke grenade on the floor and tossed aside his empty hand guns. He pulled out his Katana and rushed her from the smoke. The insane grin on his face made it clear that he was happy to kill her if necessary.

Anthony sighs and stops walking to ask, "Correct about what? And I can, with some certainty, say that the young woman in the infirmary is worth at least three of you, so don't call her trash. Her boyfriend, on the other hand..." he trails off while waiting for a response.

Ben, tired of politely waiting for an answer, walks off and heads to Power Development. Once there, he takes a seat in the back. While absentmindedly running his fingers over the top of the desk, he unknowingly extends his talons and begins gouging deep scratches in the wood.

Some of the bullets didnt reach her, instead impacting against her telekinesis. Those that did reach her did their damage. Shifting her stance slightly the wounds from the bullets were already healing. The smoke may have obscured her vision but it didn't stop her from knowing exactly what he was doing. Bring up her hand through the smoke she pinned the blade between her thumb and index finger. Twisting her wrist and fingers she she attempted to use her strength to rip the sword from the boys hands.

Following the motion she rotated her body and brought her left leg forward to land behind his foot as she threw her left arm forward to push him back. The combination would cause him to trip on the way back. All in all the motion was extremely swift and well coordinated. By no means was she unfamiliar with any of the things Flood tried.

Having lost her train of thought Ben had wandered off. Class? Yes Estrlla's team might be the one to fight today. Hurrying off as well she rushed into Power Development and took a seat at the front. She really hoped this wouldnt go as bad as the last class.
