Kijani watched poor Sue run off, and she sighed as she evacuated with the rest of the students. She wanted to help, but she'd never been good at comforting others. Besides, what if Sue didn't even want comfort right now? Maybe she just wanted to be left alone...
There was so much madness outside, still, with classes cancelled and a hole in the building. Kijani had to get away from it, so she started walking, far away from all the noise and distraction, until she reached the open field near the library. There, she took off her shoes, dug through her bag for her MP3 player, and then discarded the bag as well. She put in the headphones (and had to turn them up pretty loud, her ears were ringing) and sweet, calming Eastern music flowed through to her. Then she started the calm movements of tai chi, her breathing starting to calm as she went through one form after another.
