Sue
The last thing Sue could see were her classmates rushing to her then a faint voice was heard with an obvious roar. Then nothing; black – she had fainted.
Never had she actually tried to control the direction of her soundwaves, let alone direct it into a cone, much like a cannon. Never had she forced herself so much to have to take down something as tenacious as the Hulk. If that was the damage she could do at just a volume of FOUR, what could she do with higher volume levels?
When she finally came to, she was staring at the ceiling. She tried to turn her head, but her headphones were in the way. She took them off and rolled all over the bed like a cat, stretching every part of her body. She was exhausted, her mental faculty strained, her physical not so much. She read the note that was from Anthony, which read:
"Sue, during the battle with Dr. Banner, you fainted after pushing yourself too far. Once you wake up, the kitchen is fully stocked if you're hungry or thirsty, and there's a phone next to the bed if you want to call us. We're just cleaning up rubble and helping the injured now. If you go into the backyard, don't be surprised to see three baby tigers. They were fed a large meal this morning, so they won't be hungry. The white one is the leader, so if he likes you, his sisters will also.
-Anthony Luthor"
”Tigers?” she thought to herself. She reluctantly got out of bed and, though she struggled to keep herself up at first, she managed.
The house was beautiful and large - figures, coming from a Luthor. It felt endless, and it was cold. Goosebumps all over her arms, she rubbed them gingerly. She hadn’t brought a jacket with her but surely she’d just get used to it soon.
She finally found the kitchen and practically ransacked the whole refrigerator. She could not hold all of the food in her arms as she ravenously ate through the fruits and a chicken leg. She did not want to finish everything though, trying not to be a horrible guest. She actually wanted to see the tigers. But first, she took a marker and drew a penis on one of the mirrors. She snicked noiselessly at her childishness.
When she reached the backyard door, it automatically opened for her. The warmth on her skin from the Sun felt amazing, and so did the sight of the cutest little tigers! She hurriedly ran to the pen, opened the door and gently walked towards the adorable white one. She was fine with animals, but she also loved the extreme. She loved extreme animals, in that matter! She caressed the little snow-white and laid between the three. Soon enough they were crawling all over her, sniffing and purring around her. Sue had a natural aura of benevolence. She was nice to every being, and she felt relaxed with the little overgrown kittens.
She got up for a quick three-minute nap, and locked the pen behind her as she left. She wanted to know where the others were. The Hulk! She suddenly remembered!
The note did say that she could call them. She guessed that Anthony forgot that she couldn’t talk. She had to go help, but she had no idea where they were.
She patted herself clean of dirt. She had to figure out where they were and quick. For all she knew the Hulk was coming her way. She had to get out of this house. She ran around the enormous house to find the main door. She found it, and ran out, pushing it hard.
She was facing an open field, the shiny façade of the building reflecting light and heat into the outside, the trees and scenery beautiful, but way yonder she could see the smoke and dust, and missing buildings of the once beautiful New York City.
She had to get there, but she didn’t want to use music just yet, too soon in case she’d attract more unwanted attention.
She turned around, and after leaping a good height, clapped and the shockwave pushed her into the air and towards the city. She repeated the process of clapping in the air until she finally landed on one of the buildings of the city.
She looked around, hoping to find anyone she could recognize. She heard yelling in the desolate city, and clapped her way towards it, atop a building to see what had been going on.
She was several stories high up, just above her classmates who were fighting amongst themselves. She was annoyed; she did not expect this attitude from them. So she snapped her fingers against the ears, creating a loud snap that echoed and reverberated throughout the city.
She held her arms out to the side, a gesture of “What the heck?”
