As Katherine freezes herself, small, frozen, red droplets appear on her skin. Once her entire body is covered with the red material, the droplets slide off her skin, fall to the ground, and explode into thousands of minuscule pieces. Anthony turns his back to Katherine, faces the others, and bows with a flourish.

At that moment, everything goes black.

The Martian Manhunter turns off the simulation, then waits for his students to come to awaken from their slumber.

Connor woke slowly. He immediately took his helmet off, standing, looking for where Ben was. He felt sick, walking over there, but knew he had to do it.

Phoebe jolted up, fear making her foolish as she ripped her helmet off, and glared at MM "what was the point of making us attack our fclassmates? What was the point?!" She manages to keep her voice low, but she was shaking. She had attacked kijani. She had almost attacked Sue. She was angry that she had been forced to do it.

Katherin was in shock. She had no idea what happened. One minute she was plotting the destruction of her teammates and the next she was back in the classroom. Katherin had no idea she was capable of such anger. Nor had she realized that her classmates thought so little of her. Katherin sat quietly with tears sliding unnoticed on her face.

MM replies mentally to Phoebe, "I merely give the simulation a beginning, the rest is determined by your choices. The second being you had to fight was unfortunately, not something I had expected. However, I warned you that this class would be much harder than your other ones."

Ben yawns and stretches as he wakes up in MM's classroom. When he opens his eyes, the first thing he sees is Connor's worried face. Ben laughs as he stands up and says, "Don't worry about it kid, it's not like I'm really dead." He leans close and whispers in Connor's ear, "But now I know that you're capable of murder. If you ever kill an innocent or an ally of ours, I will end you." With a slap on Connor's back, Anthony turns to his other classmates and says, "Well, that was fun."

Anthony opens his eyes as he is once again in the Academy, and immediately approaches Katherine. He sits next to her and says, "I just want you to know that I didn't mean anything that I said to you. I was merely trying to anger you so we could defeat the red freak of nature."

"Don't talk to me." Katherin refused to look at anyone. She understood on some level what Anthony's goal had been. But that didn't take the hurt away. Nor did it make his words any less true. She was a wallflower. One easily overlooked.

"It wasn't me!" Connor said desperately, "I have never wanted to kill anyone." He said, "and that was not fun"

"If thats the case, then I would rather die then hurt my friends again!" Phoebe said, hands clenching I to fists, she turned, "are you okay?" She asked katherin, and Sue, then looked over at kijani

Katherin just shook her head. She didn't know what she was, but she was definitely not ok. She didn't know how to process what happened. Katherin had been so proud when her powers had done exactly what she had wanted them to do. But she had also learned she was capable of more then she ever imagined. Which was a good thing and a bad thing. It would take time for her to come to grips with what happened today.

"Well, today absolutely sucked, you guys wanna come to my dorm, I have chocolate and strawberries and all thi gs sweet" phoebe said. Mostly, what she craved was the company of her frienda.

Katherin shook her head. She wanted to be alone. She couldn't deal with people right now. She couldn't pretend that she belonged. No right now Katherin wanted to hide behind the walls she was building.

Phoebes expression seemed to soften. She quickly hugged katherine, then stepped away, "just know, you can always come to me, you're my friend" she gave her a smile, "you are one of the bestest friends I have ever had" she grabbed her bag, ?what about you Sue? You want chocolate?"

Katherin snorted in disbelief. She wasn't sure she trusted anything anyone said to her right now. Silently Katherin whipped the tears from her eyes. Once she could see clearly she planned to make her way out of the classroom. Planning to spend the rest of the day in her room alone.

When they awoke, everyone was confused, others more serious that turned into anger. Sue blinked multiple times to adjust her vision to see the room again, she stretching, cracking noises emanated from all over her body. She stood up and bent down, stretching her arms, torso and legs.

Sue nodded to Phoebe’s inquiry of her well-being though she was still confused as to what had happened to change her classmates’ attitudes so quickly and abruptly.

Sue nodded when Phoebe asked if she wanted chocolate, but refused to leave Katherin. She followed Katherin, hoping that she could try and cheer her up.

Once she went ahead of her, Sue pinched and grabbed hold of Katherin’s cheeks, playing with them, forcing a smile on her face, she sporting an even larger smile.

Phoebe followed suit, jogging to catch up. She could tell kathrin didnt believe her, she stayed back as Sue attempted to cheer her up. It seemed no matter what she did, katherine wouldnt believe her, so yes, etter to let sue handle it

Katherin wanted to push Sue away, but found she didn't have the strength . She didn't have the signs to plead with Sue to leave her alone. So she simply shook her head and said "I can't!"

"I am not scared. I trust you, as you did me when I destroyed the building last week."

Katherin could barely make out the words on the page. Angerly she took the pen and paper. She was tempted to throw them away. There was no point in talking she would not believe anything anyone said. She wrote That was different!

"The only difference is that those were lies, and what we say is the truth!" Phoebe saod softly, "you are one of the kindest, bravest people I know. You are strong, and you are irreplaceable. " she looked katherin directly in the eyes, " what he said about your parents thinking you are worthless? If thats true, then mine do too, but its not, you are not worthless. You are priceless. Yoy can choose whether to be us, your friends, or believe a liar and a manipulator. Your choice"
