[IC] An Unusual City

"If you don't mind my asking, what's your name?" Al smiled and nodded. "Ah, I see. Welcome to the city. Me and mine have lived here all our lives, so we're pretty familiar with the city. Excuse me for assuming, but you look about my age. What school are you transferring to? I go to Ikebukuro High School, while my older sister attends the university."

"Opps. Sorry. Kyle has been trying to teach me manners but I forget them more often than I remember them. My name is Ivy. My brother Kyle goes to the University. I haven't transferred to a school yet. It will probably Ikebukuro High but I don't know. Kyle will tell me when he gets around to registering me." Ivy told him with a smile.

Katsumi saw a young man with red hair, a sly expresion on his face and a delightfull bounce in his step walking toward Kyle and quickly pulled him away and said "Been a while.." then he smiled holding Kyle's mouth as the man passed by so that you might stay quite.. Katsumi eyes followed the red head until he was out of sight and then let you go...

"Nice to meet you Ivy." He chuckled softly. "You've got one of those too, eh? An older sibling that's a lot more like a parent? My sister's like that." He checked his watch. "Well, I hope you do transfer to Ikebukuro High, and if you do, I'll see you in the halls. My lunch break is almost over, I have to get going if I want to make it back to class on time." He went back to his table and cleared it off. Then Al shouldered his messenger bag, gave Ivy a smile and a wave, and headed out the door. He took a breath of air, even though city air wasn't exactly the healthiest, and a content smile hovered over his face. Strange as it was, this was his home, and it was bustling and vibrant. Then the smile slipped off his face, and he lowered his eyes as he walked back to campus. It was best not to look like you were looking for trouble here. You just might get it.

"In positions! Let's do it again!" The short instructor clapped his hands impatiently as he waited for the group to move back to their spots in the studio. Standing at the front of the room, he kept his usual scowl in place during the few seconds it took for everyone to be back in order before he hit the remote to start the music again.

"Five, six, seven, eight! Down, look, kick, knees, wave, slide, there you go!" The same routine for a little over a week now. They progressed pretty quickly, but they still had work to do, and never enough time to get it done in. Even at a couple of hours almost every day, there still was never enough. Not if they wanted to get all the routines complete.

No, not complete. Masterful.

"Good, turn, tap, box step-- you're going the wrong direction! Fix it!"

Even if he seemed harsh at times, honestly, he was kind of proud of this group. There hadn't been any dropouts, they all had arrived to practice almost all the time, were mostly on time, and they actually looked pretty good moving as a group so far. All things considered, anyway. For a college dance group, he thought that they were pretty impressive.

Kaiden eventually woke up from his nap, a little surprised that he hadn't been bothered any further. Looking over to his still-untouched lunch, he picked up the container and took out the sandwich he had packed. He had decided that he might as well try to get some food eaten while he still had time before class. Picking up the rest of his belongings, he started to make his way off the roof, thinking that he could at least be near where the next class was so he could just sleep again until it started.

After he ate, of course. Sleeping on an empty stomach was feasible, but less comfortable.
