Kyle sighed, looking at the floor. "He probably wants me to stay away from him... To keep me from being hurt... Just like he's done all my life..."

"So? If he does die, you won't ever be able to talk to him again." Konsa snapped, crossing his arms over his chest. "It sounds like your making excuses to avoid him."

Kyle looked away from him. "It's not easy to explain..."

Eiko stood against the wall outside of the room quietly, listening in on the two.

Konsa sighed, "I can't understand what you're going through, I'm sorry. But shouldn't you make the most of the time you have now?" Konsa suggested, head tilting slightly to the side.

Kyle turned to the window. "I guess I just don't want to get hurt like I did with him years ago...."

Eiko frowned. He rememberes that day. It was awful, and he had always remembered it whenever he looked at Kyle's father after that incident...

Konsa leaned against the wall, letting out an irritated sigh. "Let me guess, that's why you haven't seen him in 10 years?" Konsa said in a cold tone.

Kyle breathed deeply. "In a way, you're right.... He sent me away from him.... He was afraid I was going to turn out like him... He was afraid that he'd teach me the wrong things to be a ruler..." he paused. "He thought that I wouldn't be accepted here.... As a prince, a king.... That's why he sent.me away... I was crushed after that... My own father disowning me just so I could be away from him..."

Eiko listened quietly, then turned and walked down the hall, going to go tell the others the news of Kyle and Fionna's return.

Konsa watched Kyle carefully, "I don't understand why he would do that." He stated bluntly, "But I still think you need to visit him while you still can."

Kyle sighed. "I guess you're right..." he murmured, turning to him. "I guess I should thank you..."

I still didn't feel well. I was so excited by being able to finnaly go to school. I remember walking up to the school pride swelling. New freinds, new begginin it would be everything I wanted. I had been homeschooled for so long and this was my chance to be a member of soceity. Of course nothing ever goes right. I felt faint my feet feeling like noodles as I hit the ground. There was a scream. I woke up weeks later. It turned out I had major heart failures and had to get surgery. It happened so suddenly. I took a deep breath. I wore a black long coat in the hot sun. I didn't feel like being noticeable, I didn't want people to see me as an oddity. I want to secretly work my way in. I highly doubt it though. I walked forward into the school.

Konsa blushed slightly, glancing away in embarrassment. "No, it's fine. I didn't really do anything." He mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck.'
