"It isn't a big deal." Konsa said modestly, shrugging his shoulders. He smiled slightly, pleased to have helped with Kyle.

Kyle shook his head. "It is a big deal.." he put his arms around him. "Thanks..."

"No problem." Konsa replied, brushing strands of hair from his face.

[Anime_Freak]

Kype hugged him to his chest gently. "I need to go check to make sure Fio's not making any trouble.." he said as he let hum go. "See ya later..." he waved to him as he walked out.

Konsa nodded and waved goodbye, sighing as Kyle walked down the hall. Konsa picked up his bag and wandered to the large bed, he set down the bag and took a seat on the edge of the bed. Konsa felt stiff and out of place in such a fancy room, but it was a nice change of scenery.

A girl with long bright red hair stepped into the room, a small box in her arms. She spotted Konsa smiped. "Hi! You must be the obe my brother brought along." she said, giggling. "I always knew he had a great taste in good looking guys..." she set the box on the desk. "I'm Fox, by the way... I'm Kyle's younger sister by two years..."

Konsa glanced up at the girl, startled by her sudden appearance. "Um... Hi. I'm Konsa." He said with a small wave.

Fox smiled. "So, how do ya know mah older brother?" she asked, a slight southern accent in her voice.

"We go to school together." Konsa replied, standing up off the bed. "So, um... What exactly is wrong with Kyle's dad?" Konsa asked hesitantly, not sure if it would be okay for him to ask.

[Anime_Freak]

Fox bit her lip. "Father's dyin' alright... He ain't gonna last very long.. Dictor said 'bout a few days comin' around he'll be gone..." she said, ger voice shaking slightly. "Kyle's down there now...."

Konsa frowned, "I'm sorry..." He murmured, glancing away from Fox.

Fox looked at him. "Kyle seems to trust ya..... Maybe you shuld be down there wit 'im...." she said, smiling sadly.

Konsa shrugged, "Uh, I don't know if I'm comfortable with something like that. I don't want to intrude."

[Anime_Freak]

A different girl burst into the toom. She had long, raven hair and her skin was pale. "Fox, cime quickly... And you.." she pointed at Konsa expressionlessly. "..You must come with me..."

Fox nodded and ran out the door and down the hall quickly.

Konsa frowned, "Um, alright..." He said, walking towards the girl. "What is it?" He asked, concerned.

[Anime_Freak]

The girl led him out into the hall, jogging towards the large door at the far end. "We're losing him....." shr said.

Fox grabbed another girl and ran through the doird and they would catch a glimpse of an elderly man laid across a bed and people hustling around him, and if you looked closly, they would see Kyle gripping his father's hand, crying.

Konsa followed the girl to the large room, slowing to a stop when he caught sight of Kyle. He shuffled to the side of the room, keeping out of the way of the other people. He watched silently, shifting uneasily, unsure of what to do.

Suddenly, from the feet up, cracks and embers slowly began to encase his body. Kyle's eyes widened and the man mumbled something to him, shakily setting a strange pendant in his hands. Kyle said something back and tears fell from the man's eyes before he was conpletely encased in the embers. They gave way and it disinigrated into nothing but ashes. Kyle sobbed and crumpled to the ground, Fionna catching her brother and trying to comfort him. Kyle's mother stood in the corner crying, Fox trying to console her as well.

Konsa stared wide-eyed at the ashes. People dying don't usually end up as ashes unless cremated. Or on fire. Konsa fidgeted, out of place and uncomfortable. He approached Kyle hesitantly, standing by Fionna and Kyle awkwardly. He didn't know what to say or do.
