Liam smiled, he was happy to see the outside world, to hear those forgotten sounds, to smell flavors and they swept through the wind, most of all he was happy to be out with Sarina. The two made their way down the hall, already he was getting nervous, he didn't know what to expect of this world he has been gone from for three years. Could they have advanced technologically or did they fall in society, all was a mystery to him. He ran his hand along the wall as they walked, the texture exciting his nerves. Today was going to be a fun filled day.

As they stepped outside the bright sun beamed at them like they were its target. It stung Liam's eyes, being stuck indoors for three years he never saw much sun, forgot what it looked like or how it felt. He pulled the hood to help block more of it. His quick reaction to the light should have signaled Sarina that his eyes were sensitive. Besides the sun a instant cold wind blew over them and it carried the smell of a food cart about a block away. He took in a deep breath and smiled at Sarina. They started walking down the street, his eyes wandering as his nose twitched with aromas. A tower in the distance caught his eye, it stood tall and out of place, he wanted to go to the top. He turned towards her wanting to speak, hoping his mouth could at least say something. Instead he simply got her attention and pointed to the top of the tower with a small gentle smile on his face.

The day passed by quickly. Sarina and Liam explored a lot of the nearby Paris streets keeping close to the apartment. Liam thoroughly enjoyed the view from the tower. It was almost as if he was a little child seeing the world for the first time after being blind since birth. On one hand it made Sarina feel great that he was free, on the other hand it made her feel horrible that she had let that happen to him and that he was unable to see the world for such a long time. He could barely even stand the sunlight. If it weren't for the cloak and such his eyes would burn along with his dreadfully pale skin.

By the time they got back to the apartment the sun was going down. "Sarina, what took you guys so long, I didn't expect you to wait so long to return. You know the demons come out at night mostly." Jay worriedly scolded the girl as she escorted Liam through the front door of the apartment. The girl gave a tired smile and stared at Jay for a moment. She had given Liam what he had wanted and they had a great day. What did it matter? He had hardly wanted to go inside, but the darkness made him a bit nervous and he wanted to return inside to the light and safety of the apartment. "It's okay, Jay. Really it is."

"But you left your weapon behind. How would you fight if-"

The girl placed her finger to his lips and laughed lightly. "It's really okay, I promise"

Liam collapsed on the bed, exhausted from a day of excitement. Sarina moved to sit beside him, rubbing his back lightly until he drifted off to sleep. "Yes, rest, you've had a long day..." She raised her head slightly when she heard a familiar sound outside the window from down below. "Heh, I gotta go, Jay. Watch over him."

Jay nodded slowly, watching as she took her sword from under the bed, ran and front-flipped out the several stories high window. She landed skillfully without hurting herself and slashed a demon in half on her way down. As she landed a handful of scowling, grumbling demons surrounded her. They hissed and clawed at her. "Well, seems like you all missed me quite a bit." Sarina joked before spinning rapidly and killing all that surrounded her. In the darkness she was now covered quite a bit in demon blood.

Sarina lept from wall to wall until she was on top of the apartment complex. A larger demon was waiting for her there. It swung its mighty arm in her direction, she dodged instinctively. "Whoa! Haven't seen one like you in a while." Another massive arm swung at her this time faster, she barely moved out of the way in time. The beast roared, reaching out to grab her. It snatched her arm up and lifted her off the ground. "Shiiit." She tried to back flip off of the beast but it wasn't letting go. The demon gripped her arm tighter, causing the bone to snap at the joint.

"Aghhh!!" Her scream echoed through the nearby buildings. Both Liam and Jay must have heard it.

Liam had very intense day of rediscovered sights and sounds, it was all enjoyable of course but none the less, there was so much it just about overwhelmed him. On their way back to the apartment he couldn't help but want to thank her, he tried to think of ways but its been too long since he has seen her, she might like different stuff, would she even like a gift, he couldn't tell. He kept talking to himself in his head, maybe Ferdia had an answer to help him out, but his only advice was to just be patient and it will come. He hated no being able to speak.

He grabbed her shoulder to stop her, getting her attention and staring into her eyes, ready to speak. He opened his mouth and tried so hard for a sound, still nothing but air. He let out a quick exhale and frowned at the ground. He let her down again. The two continued onward back to the apartment where they reunited with Jay. He spoke of Demons being more active at night and this made Liam's heart skip a beat. He had forgotten all about them, about all the threats that went along in past. He couldn't believe it was still happening. The sudden knowledge combined with the days events was enough to overwhelm him and keep him from focusing on any one thing. He laid down to rest and quickly fell asleep at the hands of Sarina.

A couple hours passed and the night was silent within the walls of the building. Sarina's spell wore off and Liam's horns were now visible, as was his small black claws. His ears would twitch every so often, something Ferdia did during Liam's rest to keep watch over the boy. A loud scream echoed through the alleys and halls of nearby structures, sure enough to wake up more than just the two boys. The Demon inside knew all too well who's scream that was, he brought to boy to wake and took over the body. The fit young man grew and frightening height too tall for any doorway. His mass grew expanding his muscles tenfold, his horns grew bigger than a man's leg and his claws stuck out further with vigor. The boy's eyes turned to a bright green as his ears stretched passed his head with a sharp point. As the new figure stood among Jay, its heavy breath of anger was enough to bring up the rooms temperature.

Liam stepped outside the window, looking around and scanning the alley below, he could see the blood of demons in the dark clearly until his eyes landed on another. A regular citizen of the city was out curious of the scream, spotting the horror before her, he knew the city was no longer safe to stay. Liam jumped out with ease almost gliding through the sky as he landed at the roof top of a shorter building. He turned around spotting creatures of hell scaling the building he was just in to the top. A few came after him and he quickly disposed of them with a swipe of his claws and crushing kick from his heel. He noticed Sarina at the being held by ranking demon of similar to size to Liam.

He grew and festered with anger as he watched his friend cry in pain. The young man quickly acted and jumped atop the same building, his clawed hand instantly reaching and crushing the arm which held Sarina, shattering bones like it was nothing, dropping the frail girl to the ground. "LET HER GO!" Ferdia shouted, echoing the rooftops and beyond. He was the one the demons were after and now he has their attention.
