Personality wise?
They have to be able to engage in small-talk that will build into meaningful conversations. Asking me about the weather's nice, but be able to take it further. It means a lot to me, like you're actually thinking through what you're saying to me beyond a statement or two. I like having one on one conversations, the time spent on me.
They have to be witty. Dry wit, sarcasm, I don't care. Just be witty and we'll get along smashingly. They have to be able to make me laugh.
Self-confidence. Oh my God that can be great in the right amount. Too much and I'll threaten that they're choking on their own dick, and too much I'll think they believe they don't even deserve one.
They have to make good apologies. Not just a simple "I'm sorry," that doesn't cut it. There's a methodology to apologies. Saying I'm sorry is easy, meaning it is a lot harder.
Compassionate. Being sweet on me is nice, but being kind to those around you, and giving a shit, now that's something. There is more in the world than what goes on past our doorstep, and recognizing that, and trying to help everyone else be better? That is a turn on.
Tolerant. Lifestyle, religion, music, personality quirks, a tendency for bad days... All of it is amazing. It makes me respect the person, which is extremely healthy for any relationship.
Dog lover. Counts as a personality trait in the Sims, so why not here?

On a serious note, I think that I'm very open to a lot of personalities because I'm very laid back. I don't even need someone to compete with me intellectually. I like to think I'm sensitive, so I'd ideally like someone in whom I can confide. I think the one stipulation is that they can't be too pushy; I'm a weak person, truly. I have no means of dealing with conflict, and I can't pretend it makes me a better person. I'd love to shrug off what people say to me and say something back, and sometimes I can, but anyone who knows me well enough can break me easily. Due to a slew of insecurities that I have as a person, particularly relating to femininity, a strong, aggressive female could potentially drive me insane. I don't think that's true of every strong woman, but it's just a thought.
I really like the quiet ones, though. Girls that are a little socially awkward are cute and adorable. There's also those that exude a silent intensity. That's also just amazing. In short, they need to be something that isn't a valley girl/typical teenage girl.

Intelligence is what is attractive to me above all else when it comes to personality stuff. She doesn't need to be highly educated, she doesn't need to be a genius, but it's a major boner-killer if I feel like I can't talk to her about various scientific or philosophical subjects as an equal at the very least; feeling that she's my intellectual superior is actually pretty fucking hot, but that rarely happens, sadly.
Then the next tier of importance contains things like not being super emotional, not being clingy or whiny, not being a pushover, having a sense of humor that plays well with mine, and being honest about important things.
