Where did that rumor come from again? Nobody is really sure, but once it was mentioned, it spread like wildfire among the younger people in town. Of course, not a lot of people really paid enough attention to go confirm the rumor… until today.

One way or another, a group of youths eventually ended up making the trek out to the spot in the woods, about an hour's hike outside of the town of Torrine. Since it's still early in the afternoon on a Saturday, there should be enough time to explore and get back home safely, right? Either way, it's only a little further ahead now...it would be a shame not to at least get a quick look...

Carrie was Sitting on a Log Watching the Big Place. Humming a Song. It was a Christmas song. it was Silent Night. Christmas was A month Ago But Carrie Didn't really Care, Its Christmas As long as she says It is, She hated Christmas, Everyone All of a Suddenly became so darn, Happy and Giving, When they could do it all the time, Competitions On Who gets the Best presents. Carrie Never Celebrated it, She wouldn't Celebrate a Holiday where you Give other People Crap and say "santa Did it" and She hated it when People Believed in christmas Because of Religion, God is dead, Jesus was a Fake, and Frack everyone whos Dumb enough to Believe them.But she Did love Christmas music, It was Innocent sounding and Happy. It could easily Be twisted into something Dark. She loved Dark things. Hell, She was Pretty Much a Second Grinch

Toby was wandering through the forest with his goggles over his eyes like he always did after school. Though this time he had a destination. He had heard rumors about the strange house in the woods and decided it would be worth checking out. He came out to a clearing with the house and walked straight up to the door. He pulled up his goggles and put them on his forehead before opening the door and walking in. "Hello?!" He called, trying to see if anyone was inside.

Carrie Noticed the New person, and She Immediately Stopped Humming, She was Aggravated by how he Failed to Realize She was there. Carrie Got off of the Log Stump she was on. She was Very tiny for a 15 year old, She looked like she was a Little Girl, Carrie Walked up to the Door and Stood behind the Newcomer, And Poked him on the Back, Showing Announcing Her presence to the New person

Front Hall
It's oddly clean in here so far. Three hallways connect to the end of the room ahead, one leading left, one leading right, and one continuing forward. The hallway to the right leads to a locked door, and a few of empty picture frames hang on the walls. The left hallway leads to what appears to be a living room of some sort, and the one straight ahead leads past a staircase. Not much of the upper floor can be seen from down here, but there seem to be a few other open doorways if one continues to follow the hallway instead of climbing the stairs.

A little ways away from the door, on the right side of the front hall, there appears to be a closet door. There might be a couple of old coats inside, but nothing else of interest seems visible.

Toby jumped slightly when he felt something touch his back. He turned around and let out a sigh of relief when he saw it was just a girl. "Don't do that to a guy. I watch way too much horror for you to do that to me." He looked around the front hall and realized it wasn't as scary as he thought it would be.

Carrie nearly laughed at his sentence. Horror movies won't help him here. So Sighing a Tiny Bit Carrie Pushed Toby out of the way into a Wooden wall, She was weirdly Stronger than she looked, She went to the left door and Opened it with a Straight Serious face, Gesturing The newcomer to Follow her

Living Room

It's a fairly large room with a few various pieces of furniture for sitting in and a small table with a vase of daisies in the center. There is a fireplace at one end of the room with a few pictures above it, and there seems to be a theme of cream and soft red colors throughout the space; even the rug under the chairs gathered around the center appears to follow the theme.

These frames actually have pictures in them! Most of them are small groups or couples of various people, but one features a bright-eyed toddler sitting in the middle of a ring of juggling balls...

Hmm? The large frame in the center actually holds a mirror. Even though there's some dust around the pictures on the mantle, the mirror seems oddly untouched.

Kido pouted again slightly at the minimal answer. "I see. That's kinda disappointing." The short boy looked around before starting down the hallway leading back to the living room. "I heard something breaking earlier, by the way. That wasn't you, was it? I don't think you'll get in trouble, but we probably shouldn't be breaking things in other peoples' houses if we can avoid it. Who knows, though? Maybe it can be fixed."
