By and large the confrontation with Ryan was awkward, although Ancia was at least proud to know it wasn't due to her, well mostly. She still couldn't figure out why she felt so much in control, a lot more confident then ever before when interacting with people. It had to be more then just a state of mind, the difference was just way too drastic Ancia wasn't even sure if she was still herself and not someone else. God so much has already changed in such a small amount of time in the last, maybe five minutes of becoming knight.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ancia covered her mouth in an attempt to suppress a yawn, might have been a bad idea staying up well into the night. They're going to be going into combat of some kind, especially with Dora actively hunting down a warlock. Ancia spent hours brushing up on tactics from whatever records and research she had on hand. Now these were from historical battles that involved thousands of professional soldiers rather then a handful teenagers who probably never even been in a fist fight, the concept was the same and still could be useful to have. Otherwise not much had happened, the school day was business as usual nothing to do with magic at all. Ancia did try to reproduce what happened with Ryan the last day, but no luck. At the end of the day the group arranged to meet up at the cafeteria, a quick telepathic communication with Dora told them that the lair was found, guess having a refresher on strategy wasn't a bad idea after all.

Ancia didn't want anything to do with Julia, seriously long as the gloomy girl kept to herself Ancia would be completely content. Sophia was eager to get a move on, which didn't seem to be a bad idea. Ancia nodded and stood up from the table, "If Julia keeps out of our business then I say we leave her alone, the less involved she's with us the better. Besides we got a job to do, come on let's go."

Markus was quieter than usual throughout the day, preoccupied as he was with both his newfound magic, and the return to his home of his father. Their wealth was still locked up and beyond their reach, but with Wilhelm Goethe back and searching for work, they would have spending money once again soon enough. Markus actually had to be at his job after school, but with the psychic transmission from Dora, he knew he'd just have to be a no-show.

He followed the group, but spoke up after Ancia, leaning over her shoulder as they walked. "She's not really keeping out of our business though, is she? Nobody in the cafeteria but us and her, obviously she was stalking us. I think we should keep an eye out in case she follows us, I don't like it. Can't one of you see people's energy or something?" he wasn't sure which it was, but it would be a useful skill for identifying a tail.

First time she has even talked to Markus, and to be honest it did catch her off guard. He did have a point no way was Julia about to stay away, hell just showing up at that table in the first place was enough proof, "She hasn't made a move yet other then watching us, she's staying well enough away that I don't think we should do anything with her. But I do agree that we can't trust her and that we need to keep watch. Oh and I can't see energy." Ancia nudged towards Felice, "Felice has the powers, I can change shapes and modify my weapon easily."

"Don't worry about it. I'll like getting to talk to all of you more." Felice smiled at Ryan before everyone decided to call it a day and go home and get some rest. Felice spent the rest of the night thinking about her powers. She had always thought that if she got any powers, she would have liked them to be...well, something like flying probably, not this whole "Seeing auras and locating things' power she had been given...and yet Felice really liked the idea of it. She would be useful, and she would have a better chance of protecting herself with that ability too. Not only was it useful, but the whole concept was neat! The different aura's that she had seen and heard were all so beautiful and unique! The things that Julia had told them earlier had slipped Felice's mind...until Felice saw her the next day.

"That is true that I can see the energy, or aura's of people. But I won't be using that power for a bit. I want to go talk to her." Felice told the group, and added before anyone can say anything, "I'm curious about her, what can I say? I think I'll be fine by myself if the rest of you want to go on. Besides, I can track you guys down easily enough I believe, and Dora mentioned the train station so I have that to work with if my powers aren't enough." Felice put her hand over her soul gem, which was attached to a bracer on her wrist. She focused and soon her clothes changed, signifying her transition into magical knight mode. "There, I'm ready for her in case she does anything. Anyways, I'll catch up with you guys soon." With that, Felice went over to the stained table, sitting down across from her. "Hello there." She started with a simple smile. "We met yesterday but I don't think you caught my name even though you told me yours. I'm Felice. Felice Mayer. I guess you already can tell by my sudden outfit change that I made the contract...So how are you today?" Felice asked, deciding to change tactics, by not getting down to business so quickly. As she did ask that Felice decided to take a moment to examine Julia's aura. 'It's...purple haze? No...' Felice thought to herself. 'It's more like static...like tv static. Purple tv static. I can almost hear the white noise just looking at it...Is this her normal aura? Not that I know if aura's can change, I'm not exactly an expert yet. That would be interesting though, to see how they changed over time if they even did...' Felice realized that she was starting to drift off again and turned her attention back to Julia. "I won't bother you long, but I thought it might be nice to talk for a minute. What do you say?"

Tracy's muscles were as painful as hell. She suspected this wouldn't last long, seeing as the abilities given to them allowed for some quick regeneration, but it was still really unpleasant. The girl had spent all day and night yesterday trying out the limits of her new abilities. Her room was modified into her own personal gym to keep her family out of her business, and was littered here and there with various sports and martial arts related things.

At home, she stacked all the heaviest weights in her room and lifted them with ease. Honestly, 2324 pounds! Back then, she could only lift 260 lbs six times, and now she was doing ten times that almost effortlessly! Not to mention her shuttle-clock test: Her new-found agility was even more unbelievable! Barely 2 seconds and she finished off the test.

She had yet to have a grasp on her teleportation yet, however. It seemed that the abilities they were granted were a bit more difficult to use than the physical enhancements. She'd have to ask about this later . . .

"Heheheh," chuckled Tracy, her mood really good. She was still wearing the school jersey to hide her body, and planned to workout more after the Warlock hunt. "So, how many of you guys have started messing around with your powers already?" she asked to the group as a whole. "Trust me, it's hella' fun."

Marie then left the school, while Sofia and the rest started to head towards the train station.

Julia didn't react at all when you sat at the table or even spoke to her. She simply looked at you with her purple eyes, with no hint of emotion.

"I never told you my name," she said after a moment of silence. She looked aside. "But does it really matter? We are as mayflies, after all: a blaze of fire, glorious to behold, but ultimately ash and cinders in the end, and nothing more."

She flipped her hair, and took a look at you. You felt like she was measuring you with her eyes.

"You have yet to properly learn how to use that Attunement of yours. You need to master it...you need to become stronger. All of you."

"I managed to fix a broken clock with my Restoration powers," Sofia said while you were on your way to meet up with Dora. "I'll have to train more since it did tire me out a bit, but I'm sure there won't be a lot of need for it, since we're all gnarly warriors of justice and all."

You arrived at the train station. "Hello," you heard Dora greet you as she waved at your group. "I haven't found the entrance yet, but it should be around here somewhere, keep looking and see if-oh no."

She stopped, and quickly pointed at a line of twelve people, all of them standing right before the train tracks. All of them have removed their shoes, and had strange markings on their necks. They seemed to be in a daze of some sort.
You heard a train whistle blaring out, which meant one was going to arrive very soon.

"They're going to jump!" Sofia exclaimed, and grabbed a hold of her Soul Gem. "Everybody, try to grab them-"

"There's no time! Use your magic!" Dora said as she was already transformed into her Magic Knight uniform and charging at the line of zombie-like people, crossbows in hand.

Markus cursed and faltered for a moment. This wasn't a situation he was used to reacting to, but he got his bearings quickly and transformed after Dora. He floated above the ground, flying toward the train tracks at a spring, and passing neatly through anything in the way, allowing him to take a straight line. When he arrived, he turned solid again, grabbed one victim around the waist, and dragged him down the line to a second and a third, all of whom he tackled to the ground together. He phased them all as the train came by, floating safely and intangibly away.

Ancia didn't panic, normally she can handle a crisis fairy well maybe not usually on this kind of scale with human lives at stake, but she never had been one to buckle under pressure. Not wanting to waste time Ancia dressed up in her uniform, she needed to be real fast, faster then even her knight status could allow, and even though she hasn't properly used her powers yet it was the only option she could think of. Ancia closed her eyes, time was essential so she decided to use the first animal that came to mind. As she focused her magic she started feeling warm, not painfully more like a pleasant heat, all over she could feel bones shifting, and skin stretching among other things. The process wasn't slow but all happened at once in rapid succession. In her place stood a black furred wolf, to Ancia the drastic change in perception was disorientating with different senses, and just standing at a different height didn't help as well.

Wolf Ancia jumped right into action by sprinting towards the people, in hind sight it was difficult to drag people away without opposable thumbs and standing at half the height of the average human. Still by acting quickly she was able to bring two people out of harm's way before the train got too close, she could only hope her fellow knights were able to save everyone else. It seemed that Markus managed to get three off the tracks by using his ethereal powers, good meant that at the time five people were safe.

Ryan's eyes widened, but he quickly changed into his magic knight apparel. He used the strength and speed of a magic knight to simply jump over anything in his way. His magic was useless here, but at least he had strength and speed to do this, although... Not quite enough. As he got closer, he realized he wouldn't quite reach it before the train, so he decided his weapon could help here. He created a pair of kamas with dulled blades so as not to injure the people, and threw them in their direction.

He remembered being told that he could control it from a distance, so he made them hit two of the civilians in the stomach and continue pushing until they fell over. He then controlled the kamas to hold them down at the necks as he got over there so that they wouldn't be able to move in front of the train. Once he reached them, he let the kamas dissipate, and simply grabbed hold of them, pulling them farther from the tracks.

"Crap!" shouted Tracy. She was used to fighting in tournaments and kicking the crap out of thugs on the street for fun, so she wasn't new to tense situations. Still, this was human lives on the line; thankfully, her body reacted before her mind could even process what was going on. Her body transformed into her Knight outfit as she ran, and the girl kicked behind her, moving faster than a bullet.

Her new found agility showed its use, as she darted back and forth, grabbing people and placing them off the tracks Everything looked like it was moving in slow motion to her. She managed to bring back four people before her mind forced her body to keep up with the speed it was using at she was struck by a wave of vertigo - despite her new-found physical capabilities, she still did not have the skill to follow what her body was doing. "Hurry and get the last two!" she choked out to anybody who could.

"Maybe we are." Felice told her, "But if we are, then there is at least some comfort in knowing one another." Felice blinked when she said what her power was. "So, did you listen in on us or is that your power? Knowing things...or maybe you can sense things as well..." Felice suggested. "Of course, You shouldn't really have a power since you didn't make a contract or a wish, or so Qubus said. But maybe you made a contract with someone else...or maybe you didn't need anyone to awaken the power in you." Felice suggested resting her head on her hand. "I mean, maybe that's not it but I'm trying to work with the info I got. As far as I can tell, you're at least neutral to us, not working against us at the moment. I would love to get some actually info from you other then some very poetic distractions."

But as Felice said that, she heard something. It was a short sound, barely lasting a few seconds...but it was an unnatural sound. The only thing Felice could akin it to was the scrapping of nails on a chalkboard, and even that didn't do the sound justice. Felice got a feeling that she needed to catch up to the others now. "S-Sorry..." Felice said, standing up, "My endless stream of questions will have to wait for later!" Felice give her a wave before running off to find her friends. You rushed forth and used your magical powers with good results. Markus used the Arcana of Intangibility to great effect, turning three victims ethereal and thus saving them from the train that would have crushed them. He felt a couple of small drains to the brightness of his Soul Gem by using this power on others, however..
Ancia transformed into a wolf form, and managed to rescue two victims by quickly sprinting to them and grabbing them with her strong teeth, throwing them away from the danger. She felt a drain smaller than she expected, and realized the most mass conversion she had to do was related to the fur and muscle mass of the wolf form.
Ryan, using a clever move, successfully controlled his dulled kamas and bound two victims down, ensuring they wouldn't harm themselves.
Tracy was the most successful of the fledgling Magic Knights; using her heightened agility, she managed to barely rescue four victims before the train arrived, the last one inches away from being crushed into a red pulp.

Dora shot her crossbow at the feet of one of the victims, and the bolt burst as a mass of yellow ribbons that coiled around the old man faster than the eye can blink, and bound him to the ground. Sofia panicked as she was running for the last victim, and tripped. Dora however seemed to expect it, and shot her other crossbow at the last victim, ensuring everyone was saved. The train let out smoke as it arrived, and the Magic Knights turned back to normal before the train cars opened up.
While the people started to gather around the saved citizens and a small commotion was brewing up, you decided to leave the scene and avoid the law enforcement that would surely soon come to investigate the strange incident.

"Ow...well, that went bad," Sofia said you went to a hidden corner of the train station, holding her rear. "Sorry, Dora. I kind of lost my cool back there."
The blonde girl smiled. "That's fine, you're still learning. The important thing is that we saved them all."
"So, what was with them? They seemed to be brainwashed," Sofia said as she scratched her head. "They also had some kind of tattoo on their necks."

Dora turned around, and frowned. "They were victims of a Warlock's Bite: once marked with one, a curse of despair overcomes you, and it forces you to commit suicide. Since this Warlock managed to curse so many people at once, it means the monster's Lair must be close. We'll have to search the area."

You found the others walking around the train station, keeping a bit of distance from the train tracks where people were bustling. Sofia greeted you. "Hi Felice. So, did Julia try to creep you out?" She asked, curious. Dora also came, filled you in on what happened there, and asked you to join their search for the entrance to the Warlock's Lair.

"Their malicious energies seep through these portal-like doors. It must be around here somewhere," she said.

Ryan felt a wave of relief as they stepped away from the scene they just caused. Those people had almost died, but due to quick work from the magic knights, they were in no more danger than any of the others at the station now. He began to look in every direction he could, hoping to find some kind of entrance. "What would the entrance look like...?" He asked, but just as he did, Felice seemed to show up. "And wouldn't Felice be able to find it by just focusing?" He glanced to her, before looking to a few of the others, wondering whether or not they'd have to spend a bunch of time searching or if they could get right to stopping this thing that made others almost die.

Ancia's muscles cramped, guess rapidly changing from a human then into a wolf and back to a human didn't do her any favors. While she only got to experience life as a wolf for a very short time she had to admit it was pretty amazing. Wolves perceive the world in a much different way, she was able to hear and smell more then she could ever imagine, and the power, never in her life did she run so fast, perhaps even as a wolf the natural ability boosting effects of a knight were still active. Ancia idly thought about transforming back into a wolf later, when she wasn't on a job of course, just feeling that strength again would be enough. The turn of events were worrying, the idea of Warlocks having enough power to control people like that was... well terrifying, how powerful would it really be when they actually fight the thing. Some good news is Felice made it back in perfect condition, meant that Julia didn't take a bite out of her or anything.

Anica greeted Felice with a wave, "Good to see you're alright, gonna have to tell us about that depressing girl later, we have a Warlock to hunt down first right?" If Felice could find the lair by herself it would make everything so much easier, otherwise there was no telling how long finding a pit of evil would take.

"I have a concern," Markus spoke up, brushing his designer shirt off unnecessarily. "If they were affected by the Warlock, won't they keep trying to kill themselves?"

As the group talked over strategy, he looked down at his soul gem. This was his first time using his powers, and he could already see a dimness to his gem. They had been told that they would need to collect their magic from fallen entities. That meant that they would never be able to stop hunting, for as long as they were Magic Knights. It was a worrying thought, to be honest. But it had a little ray of hope: It meant Julia must be hunting Warlocks too. Even if she wasn't exactly on their side, she had to be working adjacent to them at the very least.

"Don't mind me," said Tracy, aware that no one really was minding her, "I'll just be -_urgh_- here! Hurling my g-gu . . ." she paused for a few seconds and inhaled and held it in, before sighing deeply, "hurling my _guts _out. Okay I'm done!" The red-head jumped up shook herself from head to toe. Grinning at the others, she said: "Whew, that was a rush! Looks like I still need to get used to moving at intense speeds. I'll make note of that later. So, what do we do next? I assume we go after the real thing now, hm? And I have to agree with Markus here. Why wouldn't they try this again?" Logically, after finding their victims, one would always stumble upon the culprit soon enough, right? If they did not, it was a possibility that the crime could happen again. In her head, this was the first of many hurdles, and a great challenge. How would the Warlock fight? Did it use human logic to combat them, or did it have a completely alien strategy? Did they even _think_ about strategy? She had so many questions! Still, in the end it all amounted to what she would do when faced with the monster. It was something that could kill her, no, _them_ and it would be their first time fighting such a thing. Tracy let out a shaky breath, and at the thought of facing such a creature she grew nervous . . . but for all the wrong reasons. Tracy still grinned, except now it looked decidedly more feral.

When Felice found her friends, they had apparently just stopped some people from killing themselves, so Felice missed the chance to see everyone using their powers. Tracy seemed to have it the worst off though since she looked like she was about to throw up...But thankfully she didn't. Felice was going to say something to her but then Tracy said she was done, and that combined with the kind of creepy smile that appeared on her face a few seconds later, prompted Felice just to move on to other things. "Yeah, I'll tell you about Julia and my new theories later." Felice told Ancia and the others before turning to look in a certain direction. "As for finding the lair..." Felice closed her eyes and concentrated. She didn't pick up anything but the sounds of energy from her friends around her for a minute or so. But then suddenly, like someone just pressed play on stereo, Felice heard it. It was louder then before, and...was worse then before as well. Like the screeching of violins had joined the chorus of nails on chalk board. Felice only had a gut feeling that this was what the warlock sounded like, and it wasn't like she could ask Dora if she was correct in assuming since Dora couldn't hear what she did. So Felice just had to go on gut instinct. "I...I got it. C'mon." She said as she started to lead them to where the sound was coming from. The closer Felice got to where the lair entrance was, the worse the sound became as more and more horrible noises were added to the the song that was coming from the entrance to the lair. Felice could start to feel something else...A sense of dread and fear. A sense that if anything in the lair got her, it would enjoy seeing her in pain, enjoy seeing her die a slow and agonizing death. A sense that inside was a creature of pure evil... It got so bad that at one point she had to stop completely. She covered her face with her hands and tried to take deep breaths. And that's when the sound of the lair's energy quieted, being drowned out by the sounds of the energy of those around her, her friends. Felice looked up at them and smiled a little. She wasn't alone in this, her friends would be by her side. With a nod to herself she continued on. Finally she lead them through some alley ways and stopped when she saw it. The entrance to the Warlock's lair. It looked kind of like a black hole, or maybe a black Whirlpool, slowly rotating and it felt like if you stood to close, it would suck you right in... "This is it. The entrance to the lair...I think the Warlock is somewhere inside..." Felice told the group.

"It's right here," Dora confirmed by looking at her Soul Gem, and opened her other hand towards the invisible entrance. Her Soul Gem shone brilliantly, and the entrance was suddenly visible to everyone, a black vortex that had some kind of black smoke-like matter seeping out of it. It gave a cold chill down your spines as it was approached. The vortex seemed to distort the space around it, reflecting and refracting light in impossible ways. "It could have taken a while to find this one. Good work Felice," the blonde girl said, and her clothes changed into ones more fitting to fight in. "This is your last chance to retreat," she said to the other Magic Knights around her. "Because once you are inside, there is no escape until the master of the Lair has been destroyed." "I'm not backing out," Sofia said, and also transformed. "I'm not going to abandon my friends when they need me the most!" "Sofia...thank you." Dora said, and jumped into the portal. You followed her, and plunged into the great unknown. --- You entered a world of pure, unfiltered madness. The sky was green and filled with yellow clouds, while a square sun was shining down in a sickish hue of blue. Some of the red clouds were moving vertically in addition to horizontal movement, and you could barely see a corner in the skyline, hinting that the world was inside a cube of some sort. You first mistook the place you landed on to be a sandy desert, but soon realized the desert was not made of sand, but bullet casings. A nearby river flowed with gold coins instead of water, which seemed to lead to a grey wall of some kind beyond the desert. The mountain range to the left of you, beyond the horizon, was entirely covered in barb wire. Some of the landscape was alien and unwelcoming, like straight out of a sci-fi horror game: there were towers of futuristic design scattered here and there, their purposes unknown. There were also craters and green pools of living sludge. It was a wasteland of insanity, and one that would surely cause nausea in the weak-willed. "Wow," you could hear Sofia whisper as she looked on, her hand covering her mouth. "I've never seen anything like it." "Caution my friends," Dora said, and took a defensive pose. "We are now in enemy territory, and could be ambushed at any point. Ready yourselves for any familiars we might encounter while on our way to the Warlock."

#####Ryan glanced back to Tracy who seemed to be having an issue with either her new speeds, or the idea of people trying to kill themselves. Either way, it apparently almost caused her lunch to come back up. As she said she was good, she also specified which of his two theories it was, and he nodded, turning back to Felice who seemed to start upon their path. He inhaled slowly as they began to follow her. #####As the group reached the area that the portal was supposed to be in, Ryan couldn't see anything that looked like a portal. He frowned slightly before Dora suddenly said that Felice was correct about the location before somehow revealing the portal to the others. Ryan opened his mouth, almost saying something in his surprise, but shook the feeling that had almost made him speak. If he had, it may have made him seem unsure of himself here, leading to trust issues. Ryan changed into his knight attire as the others did. --- #####As they entered, the entire world seemed as if it was intended to be different in every single way from their own. A cube-like shape, vertical-moving clouds... Everything was just wrong. He glanced around for a moment, then looked to Dora, "What kind of creatures inhabit this place? Is there any way you can show me, or describe it well enough for me to make us look like that?" His intention was simply to have the element of surprise to their attack by using his illusions. He also thought that Felice would be able to help them avoid anything getting too close, as well as find their way to the warlock with little to no issue.
