Wulfric twitched in his bed, his Empathic bond announcing him that the bald man he left behind the motel had just died. He'd hoped the guy could resist an hour longer, but, ahwell, this will have to do until the next Culling. And the way that town was shaping up, his next feast would follow shortly. Dressing up in his usual formal attire, white buttoned shirt with black three piece suit and longcoat, but putting on sneakers instead of his normal low-heel shoes, Wulfric was expecting quite a bit of action.
Having taken his umbrella, Wulfric was all set for his midnight stroll. It didn't take long until he found himself in an alleyway that reeked of blood (yes, reeked is the appropriate word here. Stensian vampires and non-fanged vampires in general did not particularly enjoy the scent of blood), and even less to find the disfigured man, belly cut wide open, heart tossed to the side.
But what was even more alarming was that the victim still had an Empathic trace within him, one of shock and incredulity followed by a deep-seated desire for the pain to stop, something which only happened for 15 minutes after a death. The man's killer was close by. And Wulfric will NOT let him or her get away!
Rising back from the body, Wulfric sought something to recalibrate his Blur on, to ensure that he was in good fighting condition. Seeing a crow perched on top of a telephone pole beside him, the vampire induced all apathy that he could muster, until the nocturnal animal simply... fell off its position with a thud when hitting the hard concrete ground, dying on the spot. He was energized, he was perceptive, he had something to protect. Wulfric, killer of killers, idealist, Stensian vampire, Stensian aristocracy, Empath, and Blur, set foot, confident that tonight, justice will be served.
