Name: Dorothy Wells
Age: 18
Godly Parent: Hebe
Years at Camp: 5
Ability: As a daughter of Hebe, she does not have what you would call a "special power", but rather sports a generous helping of youth that provides her a wide range of general benefits over a less-youthful demigod.
- Strong constitution, can handle a bit more god food than others. (Ambrosia, Nectar)
- Energy abound, difficult to demoralize or exhaust
- Recovers quicker from injuries and exhaustion
Skills:
- Five years of combat training, with about a year's worth in actual combat experience. Can use swords, bows and spears well enough to hold her own in a large-scale battle or duel.
- Skilled runner, climber and swimmer, as a result of her time on the run from Monsters and her training at Camp Half Blood.
- Reasonably proficient leader, able to take command of a small group and make quick decisions under pressure. Not sufficient to lead a combat or expedition force larger than six or seven individuals.
- General knowledge from several years of basic education and ordinary life, including the operation of cell phones and the internet.
- Skilled talker and diplomat, able to diffuse tense situations and contain hostility to a moderate degree.
Weapon of Choice: Modern Crossbow (Fires Celestial Bronze-tipped Arrows.)
- Possesses a magic item, a small canteen that fills to the brim with nectar every three to four hours. Holds precisely enough to stabilize somebody suffering from moderate injuries.
- Often carries a weapon besides her favoured weapon, as it is not uncommon for her to require a melee weapon in battle. Usually a dagger or sword, but she sometimes must make due with a spear instead.
Appearance: Dorothy stands at about five feet six inches, with a lithe, minimalistic figure. While her chest and face seem budding and full of youth, the width of her hips seem to indicate she is at least somewhat close to her developmental peak. Her hair is excessively long and beautiful, with wavy, golden locks reaching all the way past her waist when not braided and brought up into a bun. Her eyes are an energetic, warm shade of blue, giving the impression of one who who doesn't have a cruel bone in her body.
Personality: As the head of the Hebe Cabin, Dorothy bears a certain amount of responsibility over her half-siblings and others at camp, creating her characteristic "Older sister" mentality. She's the type to look after others, but never to the point of neglecting her own needs. She's an amiable individual overall, with her abundance of youth and good cheer rubbing off on the individuals around her. She is not, however, incapable of taking things seriously, and can be a reliable ally when things get tough. She does get a little excited sometimes though, and her method of dealing with intense stress can end in her alienating those around her.
While she treats others well, she is fundamentally a selfish being that simply craves the attention and acknowledgement associated with helping others. Her ability to stay in good spirits at all times can come off as cold at inappropriate times, and her tendency to repress her negative emotions will certainly get the best of her someday. In a way, she also possesses a bit of a "Little sister" side to her, a part that wants to be spoiled, protected and praised.
Brief History: Born and raised in southern Canada, Dorothy was found by a Satyr when she was drifting through a small forestry city. She was alone, having lost both her Father and Mother
(who she later found out was her stepmother) to monster attacks. The reason was, foolishly enough, that her father had informed her of her divine heritage at a very young age. This made her smell more strongly to monsters, and caused them to eventually collapse on their home sometime in Dorothy's twelfth year.
When she was finally found, the Satyr who found her was surprised by how powerful she smelt, especially upon hearing of her true parentage and how long she had survived. Apparently, she had found a pair of other female demigods while running, and the three of them had managed to survive several months before their alliance was inevitably torn apart. This Satyr guided her to Camp Half Blood, where she joined up with the other campers and was almost immediately claimed by her godly parent.
