> Not 100-megaton antimatter's worth, no, just missiles that have up to 100-megaton's worth of explosive power. > > Antimatter is a powerful weapon. Of course, it wasn't exactly meant to be detonated all at once while inside a ship. > > The good thing is that even if you get a temporary breach of their shields, and pass your lasers along as much hull as possible, the chances of NOT hitting a high explosive before the shields block you out again is very low. In tight formations, a single Draconian transport being destroyed or self-destructed would probably have a temporary EMP effect on the nearest ships, and scramble sensors and the like for any ships within a medium range (relative). > > And transports are slow- if they manage to ram you, that's like getting killed by a Medic bot in Robocraft. I don't think its the ramming that people would be worried about, more the fact that a transport craft was carrying ordinance, ostensibly for use by the ground forces it carried, who had a combined yield of a thousand megatons, and that said ordinance just blew up in everybody's face. It may not be world destroying but that's a easily enough bomb for continental denial work if its Divvied up proper. On that note, considering I am a woefully lazy creature, I'm just gonna throw a "before everything blew up" time stamp on my next post because I had already typed up most of it and I'd hate to revise it to just "everybody died lol the end"

That's fine- it did take a while for the Aeon horde to reach the Draconians. When the Draconians soldiers began falling, THEN the ship exploded- that leaves probably anywhere from half an hour to a full hour before the transport went up.

On another note, is there a physical aspect to the Aeon? I imagine energy may disrupt them a bit same with magic, but would shooting one of the little ones with a non-magic weapon actually do anything to it?

The little ones are as easily dispatched as any animal. The only thing that makes them threatening is that they can eat literally anything, and quickly. The big ones are immune to conventional weapons simply because they consume the projectile before it gets a chance to hit them. As a whole, the species sort of straddles the line between being physical beings and energy beings; sort of both, not quite either.

Anyway, so let's assume most people had plenty of time for escape before the detonation of debatable size. I'm really looking forward to the reaction of the nations at large to the advent of the Aeon Brood. Most of them should already know about the Dark Zone, but were too preoccupied/uninterested/terrified to properly investigate it. Now they have a pretty good idea of what was causing it, and what lurks inside of it. Do they keep it a secret from the populace, as not to invoke mass panic? Do they send exploratory probes into the zone? Do they attempt to capture and experiment on live Brood? This is really fertile ground for RP.

Awesome. I'll try to get a CS up soon, although, I'm new to both Nation RP, and this new layout of the forums, should I post a Nationsheet here, or on the "Characters" tab?

If anybody in this RP is a particularly good digital artist I like to request a title card for the RP. Thanks if you do it and full credit will be given to you.

I suppose I should start working on a post to introduce the Draconians. By the way, when the Draconians race ahead of everyone in the game of expansion, and become bigger and more powerful, they're going to splinter and go back to civil wars with each other. Getting pulled into the conflict to support one side or the other would be very beneficial, when it's over- you get bloodthirsty soldiers on your side in any war, making good political allies in the process ("Accept our treaty that is totally not biased for ourselves or we'll point the Draconians your way!") and opening up the ability to gather salvage and the like. Of course, getting into a war with the Draconians beforehand offers a variety of tactics- hitting worlds that produce agricultural goods, whether by nuking the surface or just taking out shipping facilities, will force Draconians to fight over resources (if its low enough), or you can sow dissent between the different factions and military fleets, which will also get them angry at each other. Very powerful enemies in combat, but on the wider scale, much easier to force their attention at each other.

All allies are valued and kept until one must be rid of them. Except for the real loyal and foolish ones, like the Terrans from the MWG or something.

I can try something. It might be okay. I've got mad l33t absolute n00bish GIMP skillz hidden beneath this dress, homes. @WilsonTurner: Oh, and when the Draconians expand everywhere, I'm certain the Fairies would love to help splinter them into a thousand factions. It sounds highly entertaining.
