I'll expound on this; they can only convert "real" matter and energy. Meaning, anything wholly magical, or originating in a dimension other than realspace cannot be converted. Note that it's not immune or a deterrent to the Brood, they simply can't eat it.

Realspace is the dimension which pretty much all RP takes place in. Deep space simply means an uncharted area of the galaxy in which there are no nearby celestial bodies. Hyperspace is...hyperspace. Slip-space is an alternate dimension allowing for much faster travel. Separate from hyperspace but still subject to dimensional wobbly stuff under different, sometimes the same, cases.

Although I am not a GM and working on my own, I like it. Should be interesting though as I am working on a all mono gendered female species to :) Of course nothing like or similar to that of Avian descent. I have put a lot of pieces together for my nation, just taking longer than expected.

Nevermind, I found it. You were supposed to post in the OOC, wait for it to get accepted, then Duck would post it in the Char tab. You focused a great deal on their technology and species and the like, and yet you only have one full paragraph for their history, one full for their culture, and kind of a fragmented paragraph for their technological overview? I think you need to be a bit more specific about their past and what they're like. I don't know Duck's decision, but I think they'll agree with me: it needs much more. Reference everyone else's Nation sheet. More than just a paragraph, no?

Generally speaking, yes. Most things that they cannot eat are not naturally-occurring phenomena. Most unnatural phenomena have a sapient source. Most sapient beings are adverse to being eaten. Most beings with adversity to being eaten retaliate against attempts to do so. By reaction, they would be destroyed. I generally think of realspace as the dimension with the maximum number of dimensional quantifiers applied to it, thus giving it the most rigid laws of physics, thereby being used as baseline "reality." Plus what Durandal said. So basically like, Realspace = a, Hyperspace = a - b, Slipspace = a - c, and so on.
