Even without the magic instant interrogation techniques still exist.

How exactly does this even work?
Lol I feel like my Septonians are going to find the humans and be all like " TERRANS!!! my friends"

Probably magic.
(But really, it probably uses nanobots. So still magic, just disguised as technology. Everyone knows that nanobots are actually magic.)

So, then it is fully possible for a species to be immune/resistant to such techniques assuming they are alien enough to be not understood by such nanotechnology. There would also be the point of how such nanobots would even be introduced, as certain substances prove to be extremely detrimental to that particular sect of technology =P

Presumably this is where the magic comes in. Because magic.
@KaiserAuto Would you like me to add more to your part of my post as well?

Gee, all these people allying with the Romans. And the Abh consider the Romans to be demons. I think we all know where this is going.
"CLEANSE THIS WORLD OF EVIL!"
"YES, MY EMPRESS!"
*Planet explodes in glorious Abh justice*
"NEXT SYSTEM! FOR THE EMPIRE!"
"FOR THE EMPIRE!"
I'm allied with anyone willing to ally themselves with me. Closer allies are those in the United Empire. Join Today!

The Collective hasn't allied with the Romans so much as attached themselves like a parasite to their war in order to take advantage of it and steal Abh worlds to experiment on the population and decide whether augmented Abh would be useful to the collective or whether they should simply be recycled into new synths.
Such fun, I do believe this is going to end rather badly for the poor old Abh
<Snipped quote by darkwolf687>
The Abh are supposedly thrice stronger than Romans who are already stronger than normal humans, with their ability to interface with their own computers. I'd say they'd be useful.
Also, I smell a galactic council comin round. ... I can also smell a "No Abh invited" sign.

What are your thoughts of an equal alliance with the propect of a union under both governments?
