Name: Soundwave Age: Unknown Gender: Male Appearance: Soundwave | Soundwave | Vehicle form | Laserbeak | Laserbeak Canon, AU, or OC?: Cannon Universe of Origin: Transformers Prime Personality: Soundwave's most defining characteristic is his total, unsettling silence. He could speak, but chose not to as a testament to his ability to keep secrets and as a vow of silence. Besides his silence, he was also very loyal to Megatron, and constantly used his skills and abilities to intercept plots against his master. Spending years doing this has caused him to trust very few people, and he's constantly evaluating his peers for any signs of betrayal. However, Soundwave is not an asset on loyalty alone. He is concise and pragmatic in all his endeavors. If he doesn't harm something or someone on a mission, to call it mercy would be to lie. If the action is not relevant to the mission, he will not make it. However, pity those who are his objective, as he will utilize all his resources to track them, and will almost certainly succeed in finding them, which usually is not the most pleasant of experiences. Soundwave is excelant at obtaining and witholding information. He is not fazed by almost all forms of torture, and is willing to go so far as to send himself into a coma and erase all his memories in order to keep information confidential. If he is ever heard touting his superiority, it is likely that he is relaying a fact, and not gloating. Abilities/Weapons: Looks can be deceiving. Such is very true for Soundwave. Although he appears skinny and fragile, he is an incredibly dangerous opponent. He fought for years in the gladitorial pits in Kaon, and was only ever beaten by Megatron by a thin margin. He often uses his second pair of "tentacle" arms in unison with his armored main arms to disable and destroy opponents. His main arms block and stab at the foe, while his more frail tentacle arms wait for an opening to pin down and throw his enemies. These extendable arms also can drill holes, shoot lasers, generate electricity, and hack into terminals. In a way, they are far more useful than his regular arms. However, it's not just on the field of battle that Soundwave is impressive. He is a walking database, and has amassed a huge amount of data on various subjects. From the profiles of every enemy he's ever fought, to every communication he's intercepted, Soundwave catalogs everything. Not only that, but he also is a master at hacking computers and databases, and can intercept communications on a planet-wide scale. He can display all this on his visor, which is his main form of communication. However, these tools pale in comparison to his pet that has almost become his symbol. Laserbeak, a cybertronian minicon who is used for both information gathering as well as defeating opponents. The condor-sized bot is stored on Soundwave's chest, and is almost always receiving and sending data between Soundwave. Not only does he act as a relay for Soundwave, but he can also store all of his data, so if he loses it all, it can be re-uploaded by Laserbeak. When used in combat, Laserbeak is often overlooked, allowing him to sneak in deadly surprise attacks that disable and destroy opponents. Backstory: (Go here for more info on Soundwave) For years, Soundwave remained trapped in the Shadowzone. Constantly watching his universe progress. However, eventually, he had had enough. Waiting for a spacebridge to open, he attempted to activate his own groundbridge near it. He hoped that it would create a similar effect to when he was trapped originally, and freeing him from his prison. However, it had a different effect. Instead of returning him to the main dimension, it launched him outside his universe. From there, the confused spy met up with some organization that called itself "UMMA", and became one of it's agents. With no Decepticon faction to be loyal to anymore, he dedicated himself to the UMMA. Faction: UMMA ----------------------- Worth a shot

Any word on Giorno? Man, I keep wanting to pile characters on (Another Blood, and a sort of experimental OC I'm calling "Archenemy" at the moment), but I don't want to clog up the current scenarios.

Name: Subaru Nakajima Age: 16 Gender: Female. Appearance: Subaru Canon, AU, or OC?: Canon Universe of Origin: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (from somewhere around the time of Sound Stage X) Personality: A boisterous and cheerful tomboy with a with a strong drive for self-improvement and a genuine desire to help others. Subaru is a hot-blooded and determined fighter who puts 100% of herself into whatever she's put her mind to, and who isn't afraid of hardship or pain if it means achieving her goals. She is a straightforward and honest soul, and tends to take things too personally when her efforts to help others fail. Abilities/Weapons: Mach Caliber: Subaru's Intelligent Device, a sentient magical AI built into a set of powered roller-blades. She assists Subaru with the casting of her spells and improves her magical efficiency, while also providing her with transport and tactical advice (as well as generally being a good friend). When not in use she reverts to her standby form, a blue crystal pendant. Revolver Knuckle: Subaru's second Device, non-sentient this time, taking the form of a large armoured gauntlet with two counter-rotating gears. Set above the the wrist is a revolver-like cylinder that is loaded with special cartridges filled with concentrated magic. These can be fired off to dramatically boost Subaru's mana pool. Half of a pair once worn by Subaru's dead mother, Revolver Knuckle is Subaru's main weapon. Magic: Subaru's magic style is a lot more in-your-face than other mages. Full spell list can be found here, but in general she uses magically-enhanced punches and mid-to-short-ranged shockwave attacks. Also notable is Wing Road, a mobility spell that creates a magical path through the air, allowing her to effectively fly using her roller-blades. Barrier jacket: Magical armour that provides Subaru with a substantial increase in durability. Can be summoned and un-summoned at will. Combat Cyborg implants: As a cyborg, Subaru is stronger and more durable than a normal human. Actually activating her implants increases her strength and durability even further, and also allows her to use her Inherant Skill Vibration Shatter, a powerful shockwave attack specifically designed to damage electronic equipment. Backstory: Subaru was born, or more accurately, created as part of a clandestine project to develop powerful cyborg soldiers, cloned from the stolen DNA of an elite mage and implanted with cybernetics at an early age. Luckily, the facility where she and her older sister Ginga were made was raided by the Time-Space Administration Bureau, and the pair were rescued and adopted by a kindly mage - the very same woman they had been cloned from. After this the pair lived a fairly normal life, until a turning point came when she was 11 years old. She was caught in a fire while visiting her father, and was saved by Captain Nanoha Takamachi, the TSAB Air Force's Ace of Aces. She found herself in awe of this powerful, unshakable woman, and was ashamed that all she'd been able to do herself was cry. This, along with the earlier death of her mother, inspired Subaru to make more of herself. Striving to emulate her hero, she joined the TSAB and became a mage. She was eventually recruited into a newly formed special unit and served under Nanoha herself, working to uncover and foil a plot that had roots in the same project that created her (Yes, this is an enormously abridged version of the events of StrikerS. More details are up in the wiki link above). Presently, her career has continued its upwards climb - she joined an elite disaster response and rescue unit, and is regularly rotated into service with the UMMA. Faction: UMMA

Because in TF Prime, Soundwave was never really evil, he was just loyal to Megatron. When Megatron disbanded the Decepticons, Soundwave no longer had a purpose to exist. Therefore, he chose to throw his loyalty to an organization that approached him with an offer of a second chance. If it's too much trouble, he could be neutral.

Name: Ridge Age: 28 Gender: Male Appearance: The Ex-Illusionist Swordsman Maelstrom Canon, AU, or OC?: OC Universe of Origin: N/A Personality: Ridge is egocentric. He's got an oddball personality, and when people talk to him, he'll sometimes appear to be beating around the bush. What it really is is his quirkiness in action, as non-direct statements and questions tend to be answered in a manner that is direct. It's most likely intentional, as one could guess by his sense of humor, but it is not certain. In combat, he is extremely focused on the task at hand, and he uses his personality to get into his opponents' head. He also has a tendency to get highly emotional if someone he cares about is hurt in any way- something he tries to control due to his alter ego, Maelstrom. Maelstrom is the alter ego of Ridge. It is obvious when he is in control, as his eyes bleed due to the effects of stress on the mind. He is much, much stronger than Ridge himself has ever been due to the fact that he has had more time to unlock the powers hidden within his shared body's mind. Maelstrom is also very sadistic and is a known serial killer. Abilities/Weapons: Energy Constructs: Solid white energy he can mold freely into whatever he chooses. Size is a big hindrance ever since his power was taken, however. Flight/hovering: Ridge prefers to float everywhere, and he is fortunately still able to do so after his fall. Fob Watch: Ridge's Fob Watch grants him many abilities on the technological end. It detects hostile intentions and beeps to warn of imminent danger. It is also capable of releasing an electric pulse explosion over a decent radius once a day, and it electrocutes all entities in the blast, as well as inflicts the effects of an EMP of all around it. It tells time, predicts weather, and allows wireless hacking of anything he can get into with his skill set. Energy Form: As his own brand of a final form, Ridge has the ability to turn himself into the energy in which he manipulates. It causes immense pain for him over every inch of his body, but with enough focus, it exponentially increases his fighting ability. Too much use of this also catalyzes a Maelstrom Emergence. Illusions (Maelstrom only): Somehow, Maelstrom knows of a way he can still access the ability to create illusions, but has kept this knowledge barred from Ridge. Backstory: He's never told anyone about his past before his career. He used to fight the multiverse's biggest threats with his friends and his brother. His career was shattered when they found themselves pitted against a power absorber, and he fell victim to the power-hungry villain's appetite. He lost his ability of pseudo-reality bending completely, and he became severely limited in his ability to create energy constructs. He left the group, not willingly, and they dropped him off on a random client world after a heartfelt goodbye to his brother. The rest is to be told from here on in. Faction: Factionless, to be recruited shortly after his first appearance.

Name: Our Hero Ladiezengentailman Age: Early 20's Gender: M
Canon, AU, or OC?: OC Universe of Origin: N/A Personality: Our Hero is a cowardly, incompetent, kleptomaniac buffoon with no real sense of right and wrong (Or rather, he does have one, but he doesn't pay it much mind) who always seems to pull through when he's most needed. Of course, he never gets any credit for it, and his habit of acting like a snide little shit and making bad puns doesn't do his reputation any favors.
Abilities/Weapons:
Moon Logic: Our Hero's world functions on adventure game logic (mostly Lucasarts), and so does he. Any obstacle or situation, no matter how dangerous, urgent, or seemingly impossible, is reduced to an excessively complicated and circuitous puzzle which he always seems to have just the right items and just enough time to solve, often with the help of a whole lot of trial and error. Inventory: Our Hero's seemingly-indestructible pantaloons contain an arbitrarily large amount of storage space, nothing within which ever seems to weigh him down or really even exist. It's all just shunted into the Inventory Item Dimension. There's also this strange side-effect where time stops as long as Our Hero is browsing his inventory, which from an outside viewpoint means it all appears to happen instantaneously. The Narrator: Our Hero is constantly accompanied by a snarky, omnipresent narration from someone who sounds oddly like Tony Jay, which has the side effect of completely foiling all attempts at stealth from himself or anyone in his vicinity. Aura of No Respect: If Our Hero ever does anything even mildly heroic, courageous, or impressive, one can be sure it will be forgotten at the end of the scene. After a given scene ends, Our Hero immediately ceases receiving any and all respect for his actions. Any sort of positive reputation he had gained disappears. What purpose this power serves, or if it can be really considered a "power" at all, nobody is sure. Multiversal Dai Dai Shogi Champion: Our Hero is utterly unbeatable at Dai Dai Shogi and all it's many variants- which is good, because it's also the only game he understands how to play.
Backstory: Our Hero, so named because his mother was hoping he would amount to something, was a boy with a great deal of luck, a knack for trial-and-error, and a penchant for stealing anything not nailed down- and if something was nailed down, he'd probably build some sort of complicated Rube Goldberg device to pry the nails out and steal those, too. These traits, though they earned him the ire of his neighbors and family, proved quite useful when the Dread Sorceress Tarbero Lismawil began to terrorize the land. Eventually, Our Hero, through an extremely contrived and unusual set of circumstances, managed to banish the foul magician back to the Golden Desert, for which he was named Hero of the Realm and then told to get a real job. Sadly for Our Hero, he had no real marketable skills, and decided to just join up with Shadow Eternity because it was easier than getting a degree. Also, they have surprisingly good dental.

Considering how AI stands for Aberrant Intelligence in both forms of Gothic, Soundwave's presence might cause some friction. Of course, Blade Wolf's presence would as well, being a sentient fully-synthetic intelligence.

Abominable Intelligence, but close enough. XD Might be amusing at least, but yeah, AI was considered heretical thousands of years before the Imperium even existed.

@eemmtt: Accepted. @Mtntopview: Accepted. @CourierSix: What do you mean by the power absorber mentioned in the backstory? @Prostagma: While this is funny, you need to tweak his first ability so it doesn't trivialize any fights or issues in the RP. Maybe turn it into more of a supernatural tinkering skill? As in he's really good at makeshift solutions that shouldn't work. @Deadmeat: That... very very much depends. ^^;
