[IC] Young Justice: Young Heroes United!

[The Patriarch]

The old base for the Justice League named Mount Justice had been cleaned up and given a new computer mainframe so that the team would now be able to use it as their headquarters. Korrin was having a look at the giant main room where they would gather to have their debriefing for missions and he was excited to finally get some action ever since he had escaped from Apokolips. The main room also had a kitchen attached to it and on the other side there was a teleportation gate where all of the members of the team would come through to get to the base or if they preferred to fly or use vehicles then they would come through the back entrance.

The communicator on his gauntlet alerted him that he was receiving a call from Batman and he answered it.

"Hello Batman, to what do owe the pleasure of this call?" he asked with a slight smile.

"I'm not in the mood for games Darkclaw. I am calling you to inform you that your teammates should arrive soon and to remind you that as team leader you must try to keep your anger in check" the caped crusader replied.

"I will try Batman"

"Good" and with those words Batman hung up and Korrin was left waiting for his teammates to come. He hoped that they would be able to work properly as a team and they didn't become a group of angry teens.

The back entrance to Mount Justice, a large hanger that opened up in the ground itself and was surrounded by a number of trees to help hide its location, creaked open after the proper combination of hand print scan and pass code was placed in. After the moment the large door opened there was a blur of purple that rushed into the base. It breezed through the halls of the facility almost too fast to spot, a light hearted chuckle fallowing after it wherever it went. It didn't take too long before the haze of color made it to the main room of the building, which was currently occupied by one other. The purple blur came to a stop just in front of Korrin, revealing it to be a tall muscular teen with orange skin and bright purple eyes. "Comrade!!!" The teen exclaimed before hugging Korrin, lifting him off of the ground. After a moment, and maybe some struggle from Korrin, the teen would release the other boy before offering him a large grin. "It is much of the joy to meet you! I am Korand'r!" He said, his grin not wavering for a moment.

Korrin's eyes widened in surprise when he was picked up a bit off of the ground by the Tamaranean, and he quickly broke out of the alien's grip. He gave a growl and did not like being given a hug.

"If you do that again without my permission I will fry you with my energy beams" he said warningly. He was surprised to see a Tamaranean joining the team, he hadn't really expected many aliens besides himself. He didn't know much about the species, but from the look of it, it seemed they were superhuman strong and could fly. Korrin didn't really like the idea of being on a team with an overly happy teenage alien, it meant that it would be harder to keep the group focused.

Jain listened as Jon explained once more to her how he thought being part of a team would help her develop a better sense of belonging. Jain also knew that he wanted her active on projects outside of what she was presently was interested in which was the ruin and exposure of the corruption in government and businesses.

"They will give you what my team gave me, a sense of family of having friends and an identity" says Jon looking into her eyes

I'll try Jon but only because you ask.
I still don't truly trust humans she says pouting

"Jain you are human, they are your people and besides some aren't human" he chuckles as he reassures her. He was honestly concerned about her because to him she'd become almost like she was his own child.

Okay Jon but promise me that if I call you'll try an answer because you're the only person I trust. she says as she steps from the flyer he'd brought her close to the mountain in.

He Promised an then left her alone but Jain was used to being alone. As she looked around herself she thought of just walking away from the base an continuing on her own but then she remembered her promise to Jon. She would never break her word to him because of all those she met in her short memory he was the first who hadn't tried to use her or treated her like a freak, he was family to her.

She turned an headed towards the Mountain soon using the entry code she'd been given by Jon. She walked into the main room to see two males who's genetic were most assuredly not human an one appeared friendly an the other confrontational.

Stopping she softly says Hello I am Jain Jones, Jon Jones asked me to come an join

Korrin turned around when he heard Jain's voice when she came into the headquarters and his red eyes looked at her with curiosity. At first glance she looked like a martian and when she mentioned Martian Manhunter's name, that's what he assumed she was.

"Welcome, my name is Korrin and I am the son of Darkseid. It looks like so far only alien members have arrived, I guess that would make since given the lazy nature of human youth on this planet" he said to her with a calm voice.

Jain laughs softly then says I am not alien as far as may be determined, in fact I may have once been a Human Meta who was altered in a black project conducted by a rouge element of the League of Assassins. It is also thought that I might be a wholly artificial being created by use of the Cadamus Projects methods. But in any case I am born of earth and do call it my birth home.

She's looking at Korrin as her form shifts her features becoming liquid as she grows and reshapes till she appears to be the most beautiful woman he's ever beheld. Her form an figure and even her features reminding him of the beauties among the new gods

[The Patriarch]

Korrin was impressed with her ability to shapeshift into a New God of great beauty, but his senses told him that while she did have the form of a New God, she had none of the mystical energy that flowed through every being of the species.

"Impressive, every team can use a shape-shifter when doing covert missions that involve infiltrating enemy bases" he said to her. So far he liked the set of powers that the team had right now, they had some muscle and a teammate with form changing abilities. He was curious to know what types of powers the other team members would have. He hoped that the power sets of the team would be diverse since when it came team hero work, variety was more valuable than all having similar powers.

Jack teleports in ,still in his pajamas .

he then procedes to the fridge and takes out a slice of pizza.

"Good pizz...,wait a second ,this aint my house"

The teleportation gate doors opened and a thick cloud of smoke escaped as a boy with pink hair emerged. Hex cupped his hand over his mouth to conceal a nasty cough that was set off by the machine smoke. Squinting his eyes, he scanned the base of operations and stepped completely out of the gate.

"That's some nasty shit," he said, still hacking into his hand. The base was completely decked out with the top of the line materials and even had somewhere to eat. Hex always loved the smell of a new place. Scratching his head, he noticed that others had already arrived and were getting acquainted with one another. This whole Young Justice thing was still sketchy to him. His mind told him that it was a just a trick to turn himself in and that they were gonna immediately haul him away to some high max prison for villains. His body tensed at the thought and was ready for what was to come. However his gut told him that he had nothing to worry about. Hex could never really tell which one to follow. These were superheroes for crying out loud. They never lie, do they? They wouldn't trick me, he thought. He didn't really know the true morals of heroes as he had been raised with villain parents. He was taught that they were the enemy and nothing more. Hex could feel his internal conflicts fighting each other like rabid dogs. Hex just shrugged and started towards the heroes.

"Hex," he said introducing himself. He glanced over at the teleporter's pizza in his hands with glowing blue eyes, snapped his fingers, and caused it to fall cheese first on the floor. "Bringer of bad luck." He continued to walk towards the kitchen to help himself to a glass of water.

The king had a higher sense for flair than what Kadan would like but he had to admit showing up through the teleporter with the sound of the royal sea conchs playing was dramatic to say the very least. As he stepped into the teleporter he took one long last look at his family, and waved them goodbye, "I will return father! A champion of earth!" And with that he pressed the button and zipped through the teleporter, as he came out the other side the royal conchs started playing so loudly it rattled the windows of the new base, Kadan stood there with the a cold militaristic look about him and when the royal introduction stopped he cleared his throat and saluted his new teammates, "Good morning surface dwellers I am Kadan...you may call me Riptide...or Kadan I care neither way. The king of Atlantis sends his regards and myself as his voice to the team...it is a pleasure to meet you all."

He says rubbing his head

Korand'r let out a loud laugh when he heard Korrin's response to his hug. "That is the very funny Joke comrade!!" He said patting Korrin's shoulder. He was about to continue when he noticed the new comer to the room. "Greetings friend!!" Korand'r exclaimed with a grin to the girl. He watched as she demonstrated her ability to shape shift. "Most impressive the Jain of Jones!" He said before he rushed over to her in a blur of purple. When he reached Jain he hugged her, lifting her off of the ground just like Korrin. "I am Korand'r!" He would say before releasing her and offering her a huge grin. He then noticed someone teleport into the room and he repeated the same process of rushing over to the new comer in a blur of purple light. "Hello new friend!" He said before scooping Jack up in a hug. "I am Korand'r and it is much of the joy to meet you!" He would say before putting him back down. He then turned to the sound of the teleporter cutting on and a pink haired teen emerging from smoke. As before he would rush over to the new arrival and pick him up in a hug. "Hello friend, I am Korand'r and I love your hair of pink!" He would say before setting Hex down. He then turned to the teleporter again to be greeted to the sight of a new arrival sound of loud conch shells playing. The same blur of purple would come again as he moved to the new arrival and pick him up in the same hug as the others. "Greetings Riptide or Kaden I care neither way! I am Korand'r and it is much of the pleasure to meet you!" He would say before releasing Kaden. As the last two arrivals made their way into the room Korand'r would rush over to them in the same haze of purple light as before. He would then pick both of them up in each arm and pull them in for a hug. "Hello friends! I am Korand'r and it brings me much of the joy to meet you!" He would say before setting them down and turning to the whole of the group, a large grin still on his face.

Kyle Hunter, also known as Weapon Master, walked in, yawning as he stepped into the room. He looked around. "So...this is the team I'm gonna be a part of...eh...?" he mumbled to himself.

Corrupt just slides out of korand'rs arm,while toon is nearly suffocated.

Korrin stilled glared at Korand'r when he thought of his words as a joke. Just then other members of the team came into the base through the teleporter and Korrin saw that from glance they all seemed to be humans. first there was Jack who was still in his human sleep clothing which helped confirm Korrin's belief about human youth being lazy and unprepared. Then there was a boy who introduced himself as Hex and mentioned being the bringer of bad luck. This made Korrin wonder if he brought bad luck to the team as well as bad guys.

Then there was an atlantean who came into the base with very loud music playing and Korrin already expected to get annoyed by the teen. Then two other members came into the base and Korand'r being the most friendly member right now gave one of them a hug. Finally Weapon Master entered the base and Korrin gave them all look over as he watched them all converse with one another.

"Greetings, for those of you that don't know my name is Korrin and I am a son of Darkseid the ruler of Apokolips. The Justice League has decided to gather a team of young heroes so that we can help them handle threats when they are busy dealing with threats of their own, and if we impress them enough then there may be a chance for us to one day join the League. They have appointed me as the leader of this team and my first demand from all of you is loyalty and dedication. I don't want uncontrollable children on this team, I want teammates who are an asset and help get the job done. We will be training regularly when we are not on mission, there is a training room in this headquarters with training bots that are programed to change into villains that the Justice League have fought against and mimic their fighting styles and you can change the level of difficulty of these robots to suit your combat ability, but I do expect you to push yourselves because there is real danger in this job so if you can't take it then I advise you leave. Do you have any questions?" he hoped that they didn't, but as leader he would have to answer them.

Kadan was taken by surprise when he was suddenly hugged, these surface dwellers were passionate, to say the least, "I um yes its nice to meet you as well," the Atlantean looked around the room at his supposed team, to him a highly militant person they seemed unkempt and unready for battle, but Kadan had promised his king he would give them a shot, "I hope we can all work as a unit." The next thing that happened was their leader spoke up and Kadan listened before saluting him, "I will do my best to make proud my Atlantean forefathers and my current King! Thank you for taking the brave mantle of leader, I will follow your orders as if they came from my king. I will not fail."
