From what Mahz described, it would appear that if you are on the page with your half-completed post in it, then it would keep refreshing the draft, pushing back the expiry deadline (unless the editor has to be in focus. Then you might have some issues).

Of course, leaving a page open for three days and counting on nothing going wrong is asking for trouble. If I leave a post half-done for any length of time I save it as a text file on my computer, so it will be safe. If you've got your own system for that (which you suggest that you do), then that should do. Conversely, Mahz's system is a system for protection from data loss, from brief closures of the browser or site or internet connection, not a system for long-term draft storage.

Well, I don't do it on purpose ... it is mostly having to abruptly leave the computer or being forced to focus my efforts elsewhere and forgetting about the post for a longer while. But yes ... I very aggressively automatically store everything half-done locally on my own devices, so I generally don't need to bother with separate drafts or text files. As I said, as long as whatever Mahz came up with doesn't somehow override my own system, all is good.

The features and corrections discussed here are simply for development purposes. While you could tell others about what we have discussed (it's no secret; they could check here themselves), it may create false hopes, as some of the features are staged for the future, short or distant. The best case scenario is that they understand that fact and regard it with interest, but the worst case scenario is that they hound Mahz to implement a feature that wasn't planned to be included for a long duration of time.

TL;DR Be careful about what you promise to others, and how you tell people about things, because they may interpret it incorrectly.
