**Cinder Fall, Research Facility**
At this point, walking amongst hallways before entering some sort of research lab with rows of desks and cowering people, Cinder began to ignore pretty much everything that Charlotte said. It was mostly inane drivel anyway, and she had confidence that the little creature could take care of anything that came along. To be honest, Cinder probably could have managed this all herself, but this made it a lot easier on her, and for that she didn't mind.
So as Charlotte went to work killing security officers and suicidal scientists, Cinder got to work as well, striding over to one of the active computer terminals. She was easily able to access the files, since the scientists had been a bit distracted from data security at that moment, and her skills in that regard weren't entirely lacking. And it wasn't as if she was lacking in time, besides possible UMMA intervention on behalf of the poor souls being audibly slaughtered in the background.
So she searched, and was quickly able to retrieve what research they had on the Slaver device, as well as base schematics to show her where it was. Naturally, as it turned out, they hadn't moved it out of fear of blowing themselves up, but it was operational according to experiment data. It was just a matter of going and taking it. And that was just the way she liked it.
Search done, she wiped her search before toasting the machine itself, a Dust fueled fireball in the motherboard torching the insides of the machine with the smell of melting metal and plastic. But Cinder left that behind as she walked on, out of the room and down hallways, assuming Charlotte would follow, as they neared the Slaver ruins, what had once been a Slaver outpost on this world. These ruins were old, metal, weather and age scarred, yet still standing. A testament to the civilization that had built them, who's last act was to wipe out all intelligent life in the galaxy. The very thought of it made her spine tingle.
The base itself gave way to the ruins, though there was still signs of that research presence, machines scattered about, signs of other recent activity, and the soldiers, whom Cinder reacted to with the occasional fireball when Charlotte didn't take care of them and they moved further inside the ruins, towards her prize.
