Ahh, I see your confusion there. When I type with <> that is in reference to the character them self. So, as to what Nightmare's character was seeing. If I had done {} I would have done a more of a third person type of post. If I was RPin in third person as him, I probably would have mentioned his thoughts, or what he was doing before Sam came into the room. I normally do this when the character isn't extremely important, or if they're doing something I don't want other characters to know about. A good example would be if a character was reading a book, and you walked up to them, I would probably use <> to avoid the other players seeing what they had been reading to build up suspense. I would then use {} at some point if I wanted to show his point of view after the other person left. <> are usually used for specific responses to posts. But sometimes I just go back and forth between the two.
