**ATTENTION: FOR THE SAKE OF STORYTELLING, THIS RP IS SET IN A SOMEWHAT ALTERNATE UNIVERSE** _The Story So far:_ We all know the story but do you know this one?; When Bruce Wayne was a young boy, he was forced to watch helplessly as a mugger named Joe Chill mercilessly gunned down his mother Martha Wayne in cold blood. This single act propelled her husband Thomas to pursue a career in crime fighting. Taking inspiration from his wife’s favourite animal and with the help of best friend and war veteran Alfred Pennyworth he became the first vigilante of Gotham, the first Batman. After the deaths of his father and Alfred in a blaze at Wayne Manor, a now adult Bruce decided that the most effective means of avenging the death of his family, was by becoming a fearsome creature of the night and following in the steps of his father, and thus the true Batman was born. For the first few years of his career, Batman operated alone, prowling the rooftops of Gotham City, but on one fateful evening, he watched history repeat itself. A gangster named Boss Zucco murdered John and Mary Grayson, leaving their young son, Dick, an orphan. Bruce Wayne took Dick in, and trained him in the ways of crime-fighting. Dick became the flamboyant Boy Wonder known as Robin. In the intervening years, history continued to repeat and Batman and Robin were joined by others from Gotham who had gone through various tragedy and had been stained with a mark of dark justice. Through the urban decay of Gotham City, the once solitary Batman had now built a solid family of surrogate sons and daughters, a family with the goal of protecting innocent lives from the evil that seems entrenched in the gothic city ground. Today is a noteworthy day in Gotham City history as its favourite son, a now 46 year old Bruce Wayne, head of Wayne Enterprises marries on/off girlfriend local businesswoman Selina Kyle in a lavish ceremony at the majestic Wayne Manor. **TIMELINE** - - February 12th 1968 – Bruce Wayne is born. - - April 1st 1968 – Selina Kyle is born. - - October 31st 1977 – Thomas Wayne stops a mugging on his way back from a costume party dressed as a bat. - - November 7th 1977 – Martha Wayne meets Joe the Drifter aka Jor-El of Krypton at a train station and convinces him that not everyone on Earth is a bad guy. - - December 2nd 1977 – Martha Wayne is gunned down by Joe Chill who is soon beaten death by Thomas and his friend Alfred Pennyworth. Bruce witnesses all of this as does eleven year old runaway Selina Kyle. - - January 1st 1978 – Thomas becomes the first Batman and year one begins. - - March 4th 1984 – Thomas and Alfred are killed in a fire at Wayne Manor. - - March 7th 1985 – Lucius Fox becomes Bruce’s legal guardian and the two head off on a journey around the world. - - September 1st 1986 – Lucius returns to Gotham and claims Bruce is studying abroad. - - March 21st 1987 – John and Mary Grayson welcome their son Richard into the world. - - August 3rd 1987 – James Gordon moves to Gotham City from Chicago with his wife and new born daughter Barbara - - June 27th 1990 – Jason Todd is born, his mother dies and his father runs away. - - December 2nd 1992 – Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham. - - January 1st 1993 – The first recorded sighting of the Batman since 1984. - - July 19th 1993 – Batman meets Catwoman for the first time and Timothy Drake is born. - - September 5th 1997 – Boss Zucco slaughters the entire Grayson family except youngest son Dick. Bruce Wayne, Selina Kyle and four year old Tim Drake are in attendance. - - September 10th 1997 – Bruce Wayne adopts Dick Grayson. - - September 18th 1997 – Superman appears in front of the world. - - January 4th 1998 – Dick becomes the first Robin. - - May 2nd 1998 – Bruce meets Talia al Ghul. - - February 28th 2000 – Barbara Gordon makes her debut as Batgirl. - - June 30th 2000 – Batman teams with Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Green Lantern to battle Darkseid and the Justice League is born. - - December 2nd 2002- Talia gives birth to a boy named Damian. - - June 30th 2004 – Dick discards the mantle of Robin and becomes Nightwing, leaving Bruce and heading off to school in Bludhaven. - - July 4th 2004 – Bruce finds Jason Todd and formerly adopts him. - - October 14th 2005 – Jason is sent off for school abroad or at least that’s what the public thinks. - - November 29th 2005 – Tim Drake infiltrates the Batcave and becomes the third Robin. His parents die shortly after and he is adopted by Bruce. - - August 6th 2007 – Tim befriends other young heroes, Connor Kent, Cassandra Sandsmark and Bart Allen, they form Young Justice and head off on their own adventures. In the meantime he abandons the Robin mantle and becomes Red Robin. - - June 9th 2010 – Jason returns and becomes the new Red Hood. - July 10th 2010 - Barbara is paralyzed in an attack by Joker - - August 1st 2010 – Dick and Barbara return to Gotham and move in together. Both have discarded their hero persona’s. - - January 1st 2013 – Damian Wayne arrives at Wayne Manor and soon becomes the next Robin. - - May 23rd 2014 – Bruce proposes to Selina and they set plans for a Christmas wedding. - - December 20th 2014 – Bruce and Selina welcome the Bat Family home for Christmas and a White Wedding - - December 25th 2014 – Wedding Day for The Bat and the Cat

Afterall she is going all batsh#t crazy on Red Robin! Why you no like Red Robin! It is stated in her CS that Cassandra was injected with a mind-altering serum by Deathstroke & David Cain which turned her into a bad guy. During this time she joined Deathstroke and others in fighting Young Justice, and also lead the League of Assassins (or at least a faction of the League). So, it would be easy to consider the pic I used to reveal the Blackbat costume as a snapshot taken during this time period. I will be editing this small character connection post in the next hour or so. Here, I will iron out how my character views everyone else. **Dick Grayson** - Threat Level - Low - Friendship Status - Brotherly Dick was the only person who wore a mask that supported Tim becoming Robin and since then has formed a brotherly bond that has led to both of them supporting each other completely when one has called upon the other. **Barbara Gordon** - Threat Level - Low - Friendship Status - Friend of a Friend Having joined the bat family before Tim first arrived the two only know each other through Richard. He understands her personality and knows she hasn’t been as quiet in fighting crime as she leads on. In what capacity she continues is still unknown to Tim. **Stephanie Brown:** - Threat Level - To the city; low, to Tim’s focus, High. - Friendship Status - It’s Complicated but I think friend is somewhere in the title. Everyone has that person in their life that makes everything fall into chaos. Her recent inclusion to the Bat family has him more on edge then when Damian was going around try to kill people. The first time the two met was during her time as Spoiler where the two had a romantic fling. The no real identity wall between the two was the relationships undoing. Especially considering how irritating it is for her to hide things from a guy with detective skills nearly on par with Batman. **Damian Wayne:** - Threat Level - High - Friendship Status - Violent Saying Damian was a sucker punch to the Bat family. He very well could be the undoing of the family if he kills while wearing the Robin everything would change. Tim has never allowed this thought to escape him when dealing with the supposed son of Batman. **Kate Kane:** - Threat Level - Unknown - Friendship Status - None Save for one rooftop warning he gave her. Tim and Bruce have been tracking Kate since the bat inspired vigilant first showed up in Gothem. After working on her identity the came up with a basic understanding of Kate. Bruce seemed to have seen another member possibly to welcome into the fold; however, Tim’s opinion is somewhat different. With Damian already throwing a wrench into the organization he is much more hesitant to add another. **Cassandra Cain-Wayne:** - Threat Level - Low - Friendship Status - Another Complicated One Seriously what is what the Bat family using the League of Assassins to recruit for the no kill rule crime fighting family? Anyway Tim respects the fact that Cassandra has had a hard life, like many who don a mask, and doesn’t bring it up. In most cases they have a perfectly professional relationship save for that includes a time or two when she was trying to kill him. Since then she had left and Tim made several trips to Hong Kong with the intention of getting her back to Gothem.

**Appearance:** _The reason I do what I do, the way I do it is fairly simple. It’s taken me all these years to figure it out but I finally got it. I am everything that **HE** can’t be. Where **HE** slaps them on the wrist, I put the nail in their coffin._ **Name:** Jason Peter Todd **Alias:** Red Hood **Age:** 24 **Occupation:** Hitman / Vigilante ** Skills & Abilities:** - Trained with Batman - Bomb making - Interrogation - Escapology - Advanced Arms Training - Master Martial Artist ** Equipment:** - Standard “Bat-Type” suit - Full Helmet with a variety of vision enhancements. - Throwing Knives - Two 1911 Colt .45 pistols with two spare clips each ** Personality & History:** _Little Orphan Jason_ Jason was born a muggy June to Mary and Peter Todd, unfortunately he would never get the chance to meet them. Shortly after he was born his mother died of complications and his father, terrified of the idea of raising a child on his own, dropped him off at St. Mary’s Orphanage and left town never to be heard from again. From the time he was ten Jason spent most of his time in the streets of Gotham working as a thief and fencing his ill gotten wares to small time crooks. As a child Jason always had a temper and was always trying to prove himself by taking on those that were bigger than him, which sent him back to the Sisters with many a black eye and busted lip. When he came into his teenage years he left the orphanage for good and made his living on the streets, graduating from petty theft to armed robbery and instead of the Sisters the GCPD. One night, after a recent stent in juvenile hall, Jason and his little gang decided to take on their most daring robbery yet…stealing the tires of the Batmobile. As Jason began his attempt at removing the high tech wheel from the vehicle he didn’t focus on the fact that his “friends” had bolted due to the ever growing shadow forming around him. This would be Jason’s first meeting with the Dark Knight. _The Second Son_ It would be soon after that fateful night that Jason would find his new home among the Bat-family as the new Robin. While he diligently trained in all that was required of him, Jason’s temper and general disdain for authority still lingered especially towards Dick, who he saw more as a rival than a brother. It became apparent to all that knew the family that Jason was a very bright child as he took to investigation and interrogation fairly quickly although his greatest asset was his martial prowess. Very early in his career Jason set out to prove that he was a on par with his mentor, by going after one of his more known villains Scarecrow. Jason spent weeks tracking down leads, hunting down connections and finally at long last, he took down the famed villain all without Bruce’s help. For the first time in a long time, Jason saw his adoptive father smile and told him he was proud of him, it seemed all had finally started going well for Jason. Then his arrogance got the better of him. _A Death in the Family_ Only months after his takedown of the Scarecrow word came through of a major arms deal that had the classic trademark of the Joker. Thinking that he could once again make his father proud, Jason took off on patrol alone in the hopes that he could once again get Bruce’s approval, little did he know that he had walked right into a trap. After being gassed and tied to a barrel of gasoline Jason waited patiently for his mentor to come and save him, even during being nearly beaten to death. His last thoughts were of Batman coming to save his life. _Donning the Hood_ Much of his life was a blur after the events that led to his death in Gotham, what he did remember was waking up to Talia al Ghul recanting to him the story of how Batman left him to die failing to “see the need to come save him.” Enraged at the fact that his mentor and father had left him to suffer alone, Jason began training with the League of Assassins in the hopes that he would one day return to his home and take his revenge on the man that he once called father. After leaving the League, he began his journey home to Gotham learning from every assassin and terrorist along his way. When he did finally reach his destination, he received a call from Talia giving him access to numerous military grade weapons and armor and a special helmet meant for advanced infantry units. Painting the helmet red Jason took the name Red Hood and began his conquest of the underworld of Gotham in the attempt to bring out the Bat. After several encounters with the Bat-family, Jason finally understood that everything that he had been told by Talia had been a lie, but not before he had been arrested by the GCPD. **Story Arc:** _The Jailbird Flies Again_ After a few months of prison life, Jason’s bail was paid by a mysterious funder conveniently in time for the wedding between Bat and Cat. Jason now is faced with the decision of how to deal with life being free and dealing with having to be tied to parole. Although the fact that he was released by his new guardian angel bothers him, he needs to find out who helped him and why. **In Costume Appearance**

Ok so I have two Jason's. Both well written. Its pretty hard to choose. I'll let you know when I've made my decision but whomever I don't pick, I hope you find anothet haracter that takes your fancy.


So a decision has been reached. We will be going with Sloth's version of Jason. Archangel I hope there is another character you're interested in because you seem super talented and I'd hate to lose you. It was a tough call. I'm currently about to commence doing NPC CS for Bruce and Selina so people have more info to reference during posts. In regards to villains, we will need CS for them however we need only do them when the villains actually appear in story. As for story arcs, the current story arc will appear on the first ic post (giving you a summary of what's going on).

Quick question! Are we using League of Assassins like the comics or League of Shadows like in a lot of the adaptations? I can switch it in Damian's bio accordingly. Also I'll be adding in the relationship stuff, probably in a mix of the IC and mini-profiles style, so let me know if you want something changed to better fit an idea of how they'd interact for now.

It's no big deal, I think I just never got exact confirmation and they feature pretty heavily in Damian's backstory so I needed to know before transferring the sheet over.

Gordon's my preference, but I hardly count XD Also I finished writing up Damian's Character Interpretation/Relationship stuff, but I need to format it a little better.

Batcow would make the rest of us look bad by comparison and negate the need for a story, yes. Also, finished with formatting and everything for the Character Interpretations section. Let me know if everything squares up with other people's ideas.
