Not gonna lie: I fucking love making fun of California. It's my home state and I know it better than other states. But I also love making fun of other states too. I just love mocking things, I suppose. Life's better as a satire.

In short: y'all probably gonna be offended by shit I say eventually. XD

You'll find that I'm quite hard to seriously offend, or else I wouldn't have the IRL friends I currently do.

That, I mu8st say, is the Pride one has in their state and the inability to here anything bad about it. Whether that's good, bad, true, or false is irrelavent to the fact that you talked bad about the state we live in, and the gut reaction to that is to defend it.

Then that Pride is direly in need of some humbling. Everyone and everything is flawed in some way, if you're so monstrously prideful about something as inconsequential as your state that it is your proverbial social Achilles Heel; then that's just downright sad.

The Roast King approves.

Though in all seriousness, taking everything with a grain of salt makes life much better. Like a martini, but less lame.

Or another simple way is to just simply be careful on what you type. :/

Look, I'm not the guy that gets offended easily as well, but sometimes some stuff just gets to us. Again, be careful on what you say/type.

I never said it didn't, just something I noticed in America is that a majority of people take a vast amount of pride in their region, and will defend it, even if they may be in the wrong. Then again, I'm a 16-year old student, so what the hell do I know, but that's what I think about it.

The only thing I like to make fun about Cali is the rain. Like when I want rain I'm like:

"RAIN GODS! POUR DOWN YOUR SACRED RAIN! CALIFORNIA HAS 1 YEAR LEFT OF WATER TO SUPPORT US ALL! (No joke guys)"

Be careful about what I type?

Sounds more like a threat than a request, to be fair, sir.

Now, certain things are taboo. Racial/Religious/Sexual Preference discrimination certainly fall in line with those taboos. Logically, the only time in which those should be brought up is either to stop someone else from talking about them or using said things to insult someone else. Even then, some certain words that once fell into those categories have within themselves over use over time have inherently changed their meaning.

But do you still have a right to say them? Barring of course the Forum's rules and regulations.

Real life is harsh, critical, unforgiving, and absolutely cruel in the eight years I've lived on my own; (From when I was 18, no less) people will say what they think, what they believe, and what they've experienced and the like, regardless of whatever your opinion on their conjecture might be. It's one of our most important freedoms, one of our most critical which has been laid so often upon the altar of sacrifice called "Political Correctness" as of late.

And that is the freedom of expression. It's a freedom I fight for every god damn bloody day, and I intend to use it while I still have it. Telling me to be "careful about what I type" in concerns to a joke about a state's driving style is just...sad. And impractical.

That freedom similarly gives you the power to say: "I'm offended by that."

At the same time, it gives me the power to reply: "So bloody what?"

Well the drought is a problem, but it's not as bad as one thinks because commerce still exists. We won't run out of drinking water, we'll just import more from Oregon and Washington. The real issue from the drought is the effects on our agriculture. Our drinking water isn't hardly affected.

I understand what you are saying perfectly, but there are some people that get more offended than others. I'm not one of those guys, but with others you just don't know. Yes we will all get mad over racial/Sexual/Religious stuff, but theres some thick-minded people that will explode over stuff like that. And I'm not talking about what happened here, but I think you know what I mean.

I'm not threatening you or anything, just saying to be a bit more careful. I'm not saying that if you don't I rip your throat out ok? Just giving a bit of advice. But you do seem to very well know whats what so I'm not critizing over what you said at all.

Try drinking some Earl Grey for once, with a touch of honey. It's quite good. And healthy.

I have an alternative Idea guys.

If it offends people, don't keep arguing about it. Have your opinions and be comforted in the fact that you think the other person is wrong.

It's an opinion, it's a preference, it's a personal view.

Stop tearing each other apart for it.

I might, have never tried Tea before. I go to Starbucks and get White Chocolate MOcha with 6-7 pumps of Mocha, because I like my drinks sweet.
