Or another simple way is to just simply be careful on what you type. :/
Look, I'm not the guy that gets offended easily as well, but sometimes some stuff just gets to us. Again, be careful on what you say/type.
Be careful about what I type?
Sounds more like a
threat than a request, to be fair, sir.
Now, certain things are taboo. Racial/Religious/Sexual Preference discrimination certainly fall in line with those taboos. Logically, the only time in which those should be brought up is either to stop someone else from talking about them or using said things to insult someone else. Even then, some certain words that once fell into those categories have within themselves over use over time have inherently changed their meaning.
But do you still have a right to say them? Barring of course the Forum's rules and regulations.
Real life is harsh, critical, unforgiving, and absolutely cruel in the eight years I've lived on my own; (From when I was 18, no less) people will say what they think, what they believe, and what they've experienced and the like, regardless of whatever your opinion on their conjecture might be. It's one of our most important freedoms, one of our most critical which has been laid so often upon the altar of sacrifice called "Political Correctness" as of late.
And that is the freedom of expression. It's a freedom I fight for every god damn bloody day, and I intend to use it while I still have it. Telling me to be "careful about what I type" in concerns to a joke about a state's driving style is just...sad. And impractical.
That freedom similarly gives you the power to say: "I'm offended by that."
At the same time, it gives me the power to reply: "So bloody what?"
