Puella Magi Madoka Magica is the only anime that can lay the tears claim on me. Episode 11, when Homura comes to her despair horizon. It's heart wrenching.

Never seen it, but I've seen a picture... and I'm fairly certain it's that dog...
I have several series on my to-watch list. FMAB has been on it for a while.

A while is too long. Hop to it!

That was a cringe, not tears.

Shall I bring up....him? (Not spoiling FMA for J8cob)

I'd really rather you not (yes, I know precisely who you're talking about).

It's quite alright. I wept when he died too, even more at his funeral.
o.o
Kite Runner? Never heard of it.
I've had a few books make me fall into tears. D:

It's by Khaled Hosseini. I really think you'd enjoy it, for multiple reasons. But there's a scene toward the end where the MC is standing in a hospital hallway with his best friend's son in intensive care that's beautiful and horrible at the same time because you just see and feel his heart and soul being torn in half. It's a phenomenal read.
