Name: Shuai Taidan (帥 太丹)
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Weapon: A majestic, carbon-reinforced qiang of nearly twenty feet in length, the
Huojian (火尖) is Taidan’s primary weapon, a beautiful instrument of war that he crafted as an extension of his own very identity. Its shaft is a subdued silver, dignified but humble, ending in a large, golden blade that that deviates from the standard leaf-shaped qiang with its wicked, jagged edges. Its blood-red horsehair tassels are long and flowing, well-kept to serve its purpose in blurring the vision of his enemies and protect the shaft from blood. What this simple appearance hides, however, is its secondary form,
Chongli (重黎), which provides brings it blade to open up and spurt out napalm that will stick to those unfortunate enough to be in its path, weighing down upon them as if they have been exposed to the presence of a wrathful god.
Accompanying his mighty weapon are his signature golden
Qiankun (乾坤) rings, six in number, that can be found sitting quietly in the two crimson-black vambraces on his forearms. They are simple, unadorned, representing the infinite universe that the Hunter seeks enlightenment from, but their ability is less so, being capable of enlarging and shrinking. With the assistance of his wind and fire wheels, known as the
Rongquan (融圈), which burn like the thrusters of a rocket, he is also capable of fast-speed movement and flight, as they can be attached to his boots. However, they can also serve as melee weaponry if required.
Specialty: Although relatively well-rounded in regards to his combat specialities, possessing optimal mid-range capabilities as well as his long-ranged ones, Taidan typically takes upon a more supportive role, utilising his rings to trap enemies or launching napalm strikes from above.
Semblance: Santouliubi (三頭六臂) - Taidan’s tendency for multitasking and love for a variety of things has manifested through his semblance as six, ethereal arms that unfurl from his back as if he himself was a deity. They possess a powerful range, capable of extending out a far distance from his body, and so he makes use of them to manipulate his golden rings, as well as any other object his seeks to utilise. As an expression of his aura, their state of manifestation can vary, allowing him to move them through solid objects, and can also be hidden from view.
Personality: Taidan is quite an exuberant person, always full of good cheer and enthusiasm for whatever it is that he is doing at the time. This excitability is constantly expressed through his talkative, bouncy nature, and he can always be found gossiping with others, teasing them and always failing to comprehend the concept of “personal space”. With his warmth and childish love for the little things in life, his exuberance and liveliness is almost overbearing, though he will always seek to tone himself down if it disturbs his companions too much.
He can be easily startled, however, especially if something is to come “out of the left field”, and so in situations where he is caught off-guard he will stumble, forced to flail about in search of a solution to his problems. When panicky, his energy seems to almost double as he tries to orientate himself, contrasting with his tendency to become lethargic and grouchy when searching for sustenance during his hungry states. Despite this, he possesses a relatively sharp and perceptive mind, though it is a trait dulled by his tendency to leap straight to the first possible judgement (and at times he can seem slightly gullible, especially when with friends).
Taidan is also an avid lover of costumes. He will change costumes daily, whether it be a simple outfit or something ridiculous like a ballgown. Indeed, he is a skilled weaver, frequently crafting his own clothes from fabric for his own needs, and can pull off many an outfit with little problem, even those of the opposite sex, thanks to his relatively feminine appearance. He tends to throw himself into the character of his costume, though the undercurrent of his cheer is always present. The hunter is proud of his ability to dress incredibly well, and will frequently punctuate his declarations of being a “master of disguise” with constant hair flicks. He also enjoys a good hat, and will also dye his hair frequently because of his view that always staying with his natural pinkish-brown is a bit too “boring” for his tastes.
The hunter is also surprisingly philosophical at times, pondering the nature of life, the world and the meaning of happiness. He is rather tolerant of things that others would find strange, and sees ugly things as quite “adorable”. Although a fan of goats, he doesn’t quite like other four-legged creatures like horses, and is a city-slicker through and through. He also has a terrible long-term memory. Underneath the demeanour of good cheer, however, he can be rather serious and focused when need-be, always gently helping others return to the proper path of things.
Color: Xiaofanghong (#CE2029)
Emblem: A simple red ring, round and smooth, with no embroidery, no flair, for it is the ring of the infinite universe that holds a meaning that nothing can truly convey.
Appearance: For a young man of twenty-one, Shuai Taidan is incredibly short compared to his fellows, standing at a mere metre seventy. He is remarkably pretty and handsome, possessing an almost-feminine, graceful face that seems be constantly warm and cheery. Indeed, his pinkish-brown hair is long and flowing, tied back into a ponytail that descends in waves down towards his back, and his purple eyes are large and full of life and vigour. Though seemingly lean and skinny, his uniform, which has been modified to resemble military dress, hides a well-defined, athletic build beneath it.
