Admittedly, I've never read any of the Question's series. I did love him in the Justice League cartoon by Bruce Timm but I don't know how accurate of a portrayal that was of the character.

DCAU Question is pretty great.

Of course, you don't really get to see how shit his life is though.

Hub City is the worst city in DC America.

You know Gotham's basically built on Native American burial grounds and is actually a sentient evil that's in love with Tim Drake?

And how Bludhaven managed to get worse with only a little bit of supernatural fuckery?

Hub City makes those two look like Metropolis, and it has no supernatural fuckery.
