A small box of orange juice was flung straight toward where Napoli's head once was as he dodged Gratia's sudden attack. She never liked it when people kept talking to her while she relaxed with a smoke and a few good minutes that excluded the "pizzeria mofo," or so she called him.

"Gratia, Lauren wants to share a joke!" Napoli said casually as he ducked under a BB pellet from Gratia's convincingly dangerous-looking BB pistol.

"...Lauren? The hell-"

A certain ex-car thief strolled in with a grin bright enough to kill ants like it were a built-in magnifying glass.

"Hey Grat," Lauren exclaimed with an excited tone. "What do you do call an ambulance with pizza in it?!"

"...A shitty pizza. Go away."

"Nope! It was ambulapizzance!! Ye."

Gratia wondered if kicking Lauren would not benefit her in any way before giving up.

No, your character and the evil version can be any age. When I originally created the prompt I had it in mind that they would be the same age, but I see nothing wrong with their being a gap between them.

And say they happen to 'kill' their past selves.

Wouldn't that create a time paradox?

What I'm asking is, if it'd be acceptable or make more sense if our characters' evil selves can be from AUs instead of future timelines.

Ah, okay. Any reason for why the evil doppelganger exists is acceptable as long as it makes sense for the story, so future Shiro going back in time to kill past Shiro is acceptable as long as there's an explanation as to how he traveled back and why he would want to break all of the space-time continuum.
