"Well, upon coming back on a new life, the fatal wounds do heal...but..." Felixter glances towards the doors as they open.
"Sephie! Oh, my dear child, we were so worried about you! What happened?" Ammi rushes to Nimika's side, feigning a relieved smile.
"Eh, don't worry too much about it." Nimika says in Sephie's voice. "She tried to send me back off to the Demon Highlands so I could get brainwashed and become another one of Kebaratsu's puppets. Of course, she's not the only one who can make a portal...or kill a person or two." She snickers, just as Sephie would. Felixter feels slight unease at how good the imitation is.
Meora tries to think of something that only a living Sephie could know or do...then grins as she gets the perfect idea. "Ne, Sephie-chan, what's going on with Kiroketsu-kun? He died when you did, right? Where is he? I feel like we should be beating him up for not protecting you. Because, y'know, that's kind of his JOB."
"Kiro? Ah, I tried tapping into his thoughts to yell at him earlier, but he was still unresponsive. Seems he drank so much that he passed out on the dining room floor." Nimika laughs.
"Ah...is that so...?" Meora keeps her cool on the surface, though inside of her mind, she's a bit freaked out by the fact that whoever this is knows exactly what happened to Kiroketsu, and wonders how it's possible. Quickly, she thinks up something else that could only happen with a real, living Sephie. "Well, maybe we should go into the dining hall and mess with him. It'd be funny~...." Meora suggests with a teasing tone.
"You can go on ahead with that, Meora-sensei." Nimika sighs a bit wearily, with a tired smile to match. She turns around and starts heading away down the hall, back turned to them all. "I might go rest up some...I'm pretty tired..."
"P-Perhaps I should check you over, Sephie. Make sure nothing's wrong. It'd be terrible if you went to take a nap, and then never woke up because of something horrible Nimika did." Ammi suggests before she can get too far away.
"What? Ah, fine." Nimika rolls her eyes, and goes back over to Ammi. Ammi makes a small incision in the girl's wrist, and pumps her healing flames into it. Everything appears to be completely normal and fine. The fire has no strange reaction.
"Ah...seems you're fine..." Ammi mutters.
"Oh? What, are you disappointed that you don't get to nurse me back to health, Ammi?" Nimika coos teasingly. "That's adorable."
"Well, you know how much I care about you all." Ammi chuckles lightly.
"Here, Sephie." Felixter steps up to her side. "Why don't I accompany you to your room? Just to make sure there's nothing there waiting to kill you in your sleep or anything."
"Man, you guys are all actin' a little weird now..." Nimika backs away from the group with a confused frown. "I know you're worried, but c'mon, we've faced Nimika like this before, and on much more serious terms."
"Well, that is true...I guess we're just a bit on edge. A brand new world and everything..." Felixter nods slowly.
"Sheesh." Nimika turns her back on the group again. "It's like you think any moment, something's gonna strike from the floor, just out of nowhere!...Something like...this?" Her voice becomes a bit deeper, and she glances behind her at the group again, her eyes flashing a raspberry color.
Before they have time to react, Nimika's signature red-colored magic grabs Felixter, Meora, Ammi, and Michael from beneath them on the floor, and slams them against the ceiling. It pins them there as Nimika laughs, returning to her normal voice, but keeping Sephie's appearance, save for the eyes.
"Aw, your little act was so cute, you know? But really, come now, did you honestly think I wouldn't see through it?" Nimika shakes her head. "Sorry, but that's just not the way it's going..."
"W-why did you even come back here?! Aren't you finished yet?!" Meora growls, trying to struggle against the magic force.
"Oh, I'm finished with Sephie for now, yes. I'm just killing time, making sure everything goes smoothly. I mean...you've wasted enough time now. It shouldn't be much longer until it happens." Nimika hums nonchalantly.
"Until what happens?! What have you done, you horrible woman?!" Ammi shouts.
"Yes...not long at all." Nimika turns around on her heels and starts walking away for the third time. "I think I'll just keep you up there awhile. You don't mind, do you? I didn't think so. I'm going on to check the progress of everything now. I'd say there's...a minute or two to spare." She says aloud, half to herself and half to further taunt the group stuck to the ceiling as she leaves them.
