I like the portrayal of Loki in this roleplay. Definitely a change of pace on how he is represented elsewhere in Marvel, which is usually him being a scheming villain, like in the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated series or in Marvel Ultimate Alliance game.

Honestly the way it is I don't want to take on to many Rp's in the near future. A lot of stuff is going to happen in the next month or so and there are going to be posting delays.
So I know this character was used previously. But as the player in question only posted a few times, I was hoping it was okay that I switched some stuff up with the original origin. I kept some of it and rearranged a bit. Everything I have here fits with what's already been posted in the IC thread.

Character Origin & Backstory:
Matthew Murdock was born to Jonathan "Battling Jack" Murdock, a local boxing upstart, and Beth Nakamura, a Japanese immigrant who settled in New York after her and her mother escaped Japan due to a Yakuza threat on their family that killed her father. Jack was a blue collar man trying to make it in the boxing world. Jack showed promise, but lacked confidence, which Beth tried her best to instill in him. The two brought the best out in one another, and married soon after meeting.
Jack fed of his happiness and began to rise up the ranks in the New York boxing circle. He received another boost when Beth informed him she was pregnant, and they would be welcoming a baby boy into their home. They soon welcomed Matt into the world, and could not have been happier. While they did not have a lot of money, they doted on the boy as much as possible.
But the happiness was not meant to last. After and injury, Jack lost his boxing standing and his job. After rehabbing and re-entering the ring, Battling Jack was desperate to get money for his struggling family. The local underground gambling syndicate knew that as well. They approached Jack before his first big bout in his return. They knew he would win, and told him they would make him a rich man if he made sure that happened in the sixth round. He agreed, and Battling Jack Murdock then became a pawn of the mob.
He rose through the ranks, winning as directed. That is until he came up against a young upstart who also had mob backing. It was prior to this fight that he realized he had only been built up in order to give this young man a legitimate win to vault him to superstardom. Jack was told to take a dive, a command he broke when he won in the fourth round. Jack and his family celebrated, but the celebration was short lived.
In a drive-by shooting, Beth and her mother were killed, Jack injured, with Matt miraculously coming out unscathed, though his world was shattered.
In his early teens, Matt pushes an old man out of the way of an out of control truck. The truck's contents tumble off the truck, splashing Matt's eyes with radioactive material, blinding him. At the same time, he found his other senses had been raised while in the hospital. His new state confused and frightened the boy, and drove his father even further into despair. Jack, needing the money, agreed to be hired muscle in the very mob that killed his family. Eventually, this led to his death, and began Matt's life as an orphan.
That did not last long, however, as Murdock's maternal grandfather, whom he believed to be dead, appeared and took the boy in. Known only as "Stick", the elderly Japanese man, who also happened to be blind, began to teach Matt how to hone his sense to view his surroundings. Matt took to the training as he did any new skill, throwing himself in head first. Once his senses were honed, Stick taught Matt the way of the ninja, telling him it would be his responsibility to take up his family's fight when the time came, though Matt had little clue what that really meant.
Matt's grandfather stayed with him until he turned 18 and went to college, after which Stick disappeared, leaving only the money Matt would need to finish his schooling.
While at school, Matt met Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, and the two quickly became the best of friends.
After law school, Matt returned to Hell's Kitchen to begin to clean the area up through the power of law. Murdock was idealistic, believing he didn't need his grandfather's brand of justice. Instead he would use his knowledge of the law to make a difference in the neighborhood. His naivety soon got the best of him. He realized the "truly innocent" clients he wanted to represent did not exist, just people trying to survive the harsh realities of life. He began to make a name for himself as a public defender.
His highest profile case was when he cleared secretary Karen Page. Her employer had her framed for embezzlement, funneling the money through her before collecting it himself in an offshore account so quickly she did not know it. Murdock's victory started to make a name for himself, and he and Page began dating.
Overall, however, Matt found life as a public defender unfulfilled. He and Foggy wanted to choose the cases that catered to their skills. Pooling what little funding they had, Matt and Foggy founded Nelson and Murdock, and Karen acted as their secretary.
Through Matt's experience at the law firm and living in the Kitchen, he quickly realized that his idealistic crusade would not be enough. He would never be able to take down the mob that haunted his neighborhood and killed his family with conventional means. They were too well entrenched and had the right people paid off. Instead, he decided to put his training to use. Adopting the moniker of "the Devil", he began a vigilante war to clean the mob out of Hell's Kitchen.
Matt fought against crime, but quickly found his way obscured by the mysterious nature of the head of his enemy. Known only as "the Kingpin", the head of the mob caused fear in everyone that followed him. Matt decided that the only way to get to the Kingpin was to map out the web underneath him, and that's what he did.
Daredevil was now ready to take the fight to the Kingpin's empire.
Allies -Franklin "Foggy" Nelson: Matt's oldest friend and business partner. -Karen Page: Matt's girlfriend -Stick: Matt's maternal grandfather and martial arts instructor
Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?): -Radar sense: The accident that blinded Matt also enhanced his other sense, compensating for his disability. His hearing is now so attuned, he has a form of echolocation, allowing him to get a sense of his surroundings. His superior hearing also functions as a lie detector, as with concentration Matt can listen to changes in a person's heart rate. His smell is also finely attuned, allowing him to smell people from down the hall.
-Martial arts: Matthew has been trained by his grandfather in the ways of the ninja , turning him into a shadow warrior. Matt is now proficient in hand-to-hand combat.
-Acrobatics: Matt's training also made him a skilled acrobat and free runner.
-Intelligence: Matthew has an incredibly adept mind. He graduated at the top of his legal class, and is an accomplished in criminology.
Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character.
-Through the Grapevine: With Daredevil now knowing the bottom floor of Kingpin's empire, he begins his war in earnest. Matt is also granted his first big case at the firm.
-Run Through the Jungle: With Kingpin feeling the pressure of the rise of the Daredevil, he puts a hit out on the vigilante.
-Bad Moon Rising: Daredevil makes his final push against Kingpin while another enemy strikes from the shadows.
Sample Post (This is used as an introduction to your writing – try to keep it to around three paragraphs or more and try to include dialogue):
Every raindrop was like the beat of a drum to him, and his ears rang with a cacophony of sound. It was something that had terrified him as a child, leading him to stuff his head between pillows on rainy nights. That was before his grandfather arrived, however. That was before Stick taught him to hone his senses. With a deep breath, Matt Murdock centered himself. Instead of the rain, he heard the echoes as it bounced off his surroundings. The chaos melted away as he gained a clear "view" of his surroundings. He could virtually see every cracked seam of tar on the roof and the splashes of water as they fell.
It wasn't seeing. Not really. Nothing would ever bring his sight back. That was something the doctors made sure he knew all those years ago. But this was the next best thing. Like a bat, Matt knew where he was going. He knew where to make his next step. He knew how to judge a leap. Most importantly, he knew where to throw a punch or where to land a kick. He had been doing quite a bit a both over the last few months thanks to these extracurricular activities. Sure, he was sore in court the next day more often than not, but the Kingpin's men were behind bars.
That was the most important thing.
"What the hell are you waiting for, freak!?" the man who was currently hogtied on the rainy roof spat at the vigilante. "I ain't telling you a thing!"
Daredevil snarled at the man who had been peddling drugs to high school buyers. Matt had gotten his name from one of the kids who was selling the product for him. Murdock did hurt the kid, of course. They were easy to scare. This lowlife was a different story. He thought he was a street hero, someone who was too hard to break at the sight of the Devil. Matt was fine with that.
There were other ways to make street trash talk.
"Oh, you'll talk," Matt spun his billy club in his hand. "Or you won't be able to by the time I'm done."

Since the previous player's Daredevil had not interacted with any of the other characters, changing the character's history should not be much of an issue. You can revamp the history to your liking if you want. However, if you still want the previous IC posts to remain canon, that's fine with me.
@Dedonus I'd pretty much be adding nonsensical shenanigans he got into in Cleveland and Florida before he landed in NY. If you think that's vital for the cs I can add that sometime on weds!

True. I'll say the CS is approved. Just add some more info whenever you can.
