Lavenshade Mansion stands tall but horribly worn in the middle of Shinkuro Woods. It's roof is made of jagged and loose tiles, the paint chipping, windows are boarded up, and doors are squeakier than screaming mice when disturbed...yet, the Mansion still holds an ancient air of grandeur and elegance. As if it used to be quite the place to be in a much older, better time.
Now, in it's wake, is only the silent, eerie woods surrounding it, and the mysteriously empty town not that far from it.
Inside of the mansion, it's just as bad. Holes in the floor, stairs with sound effects that make the average person cringe upon stepping, and cracks in the walls. There's something else there, however. A large amount of ghosts, demons, and angels bustle about inside, for something...interesting has just begun.
"Abernathy! Abernathy!"
A spotted cat's ghost rushes down the stairs of the mansion and down to the ground floor, where a larger ghost in the most unusual form of a velociraptor in a top hat stands. She comes to a halt in front of him, but does not stop hissing his name.
"Abernathy! Abernathy!"
"Oh? What's got you so excited, Amelia? Another bird outside of the window?" The human soul in the guise of a reptilian beast chuckles jokingly.
"Not this time!" Amelia replies. "Abernathy, Negloria has seen new people. There are living beings coming towards us! Do you think they're here to talk?"
"Living beings, hm?" Abernathy seems quiet interested now. "How wonderful! I've so longed for a day where I could chat with someone living again from farther away, beyond the reaches of Negloria Town! The last person like that we got to see...how many years has it been?"
"4, I believe." Amelia answers, licking a paw.
"Well, that's just far too long, isn't it?" Abernathy laughs once more, then turns towards the mansion's grand front doors. "We should give our new guests a welcome to remember, then!"
Right outside of the large, imposing, decrepit mansion, a lone girl stands. The chilling, usual breeze that seems to come from around the mansion lightly plays at her skirt and jacket. She takes her earbuds out and listens for anything odd.
"...Nothing." Minako murmurs to herself. She's about to put her earbuds in again and head inside, when she notices something in the top window of the mansion.
It's a small girl in a white dress, staring right down at her.
Before Minako can really react, the girl turns away from the window and vanishes just as quickly as she appeared. Minako stares at the mansion hesitantly before letting out a small sigh.
"Well...I came all this way..." She tells herself while walking up to the front doors.
