Jack was in his dragon form, perched on one of the towers that was a part of the castle structure that was the school building. He watched and waited for the students to arrive. He had been told, already, that there were new students arriving, and so he was curious. He was the only one in touch with the owners of the school, and so it was his job to oversee things. He never knew how to contact the owners, of course, they always contacted him.

Mara gazed around her in curiosity, having never really seen anything like this before. Having lived in the water for most of her life she was unfamiliar with the world of the land-walkers. Why did they like getting into those rolling and flying metal boxes to get places? Was walking not adequate enough? What had her parents told there were again? Cares? Plains? No...Cars! That was it, cars and planes! Why humans insisted on using those were beyond her. She was surprised she had even managed to get here but a nice elderly woman had taken pity on her and helped her through the flight procedures and even got her a..what was it again? T...Taxi? Yeah, that was it. She had gotten a taxi for her. So here she was. She gazed up at the castle before her. She had seen castles before, perched on cliffs and on hills. Of course that had been from the water and not up-close. She rolled her luggage behind her as she got closer, eyes wide in amazement. Suddenly she felt herself falling forward, having tripped over a crack in the ground. She went tumbling forward, landing harshly on her knees and shoulders. "Ow...." She mumbled as she rose up and sat down on her bottom, examining herself. Her knees where scratched and bleeding and her shoulder was already bruising. "Why are two-legs so clumsy?" She wondered to herself as she tried to brush off dirt and gravel around the wounds. This wouldn't be the first time she had fallen since transitioning into human form. She had been in her human form a few times before but she had never walked such distances on two-legs and so was rather uncoordinated.

A young woman approached the large double doors of the school carrying a large camp bag on her back. She was wrapped up in a burgundy shawl that reached over her shoulders. The shawl was wrapped securely around her head as well. She looked up at the large doors with a flushed face from traveling so far on foot to get there. A soft sigh escaped her lips then she began to knock on the door. After a few swift taps, she shrugged her pack off and placed it on the ground only to hoist it up again. If it was a school, would she be considered too old to stay? She was 20 and she knew that typical humans attend school until they are 17 unless they pursue higher education. Was this considered to be a school for adults as well? Doubts began to swim through her head and she grew more restless as she stood there.

Jack noticed someone arriving, and so decided to greet them. He swooped down to the entrance, transitioning to his human form as he reached the ground, and becoming human mid-step. He walked over to the female who had arrived and waved a little, a smile on his face. "Welcome to the school." He said, smiling. "I'm guessing you're one of the new students?" He asked, shrugging. "Anyway, I'm Jack, if you have any questions, or need any advice, let me know. My job is to keep this place running, essentially. I'm also a student here, but I'm a little bit further ahead of most people." His unnatural smile returned. "So, what's your name?" He asked. He also noticed someone else at the door of the castle, he shouted and waved them over to join him and the other girl.

A black mist swirled in about a 10 foot radius, the center being about 50 feet from the front of the school, before the mist formed into a dark portal, just like the ones that Reapers used when travelling between their realm and this one. Out of the portal stepped a young human-looking guy, who seemed to be 17 or 18, and was carrying a large scythe, letting it rest on his shoulder. Of course, everyone knows that a Reaper's scythe is linked to them, so they can make it appear and disappear at will, which made it strange that he was carrying it out in the open.

She spun to her side and looked at Jack with wildly shocked eyes. "U...Umm Hello...." Her voice was crisp and silvery. "I'm Lulu, but you can call me Lu." She stated quickly. "I was told that I could stay here for a little while. I'm not sure if it's ok for me to stay though." Lu's eyes were still wide and she was clearly nervous. Others were showing up but they looked a little younger than her. Her stomach muscles clinched at the thought of having to find another place to stay if things didn't work out here. She hadn't slept in a bed in days.

Jack looked at the other female. Decided that she obviously had a more important issue he took her aside. "What's the problem?" He asked, suddenly concerned. After his years of overlooking things, he could deal with most issues students had, and it led to a side of him which cared more than he would willingly admit.

Eva was nearly skipping, so excited was she. The castle that loomed ahead was beautiful, but in her humble opinion not as much as the Arctic Ocean, and she very much looked forward to meeting the other students. She hobbled forward toward a small crowd, a huge backpack obviously designed for outdoor adventures weighing her down. She waved enthusiastically at Jack and the girls. "Hi!" she called.

"Is there a age limit at this school?" She asked rather quickly with her mind beginning to race. "If I'm too old to be a student....then perhaps I can work here for a little while?" Her eyes saddened when she realized that she sounded desperate and neurotic at this point. Straightening herself up she looked at Jack while taking a deep breath. "I'm 20 and I'm concerned I might be too old to stay here." It was best to keep her statements simple and too the point. If she could work at the school, that would be nice, but she could always travel elsewhere. Lu wouldn't be able to stay any large span of time anyway. She would have to eat at some point and fasting for a long period would be a very bad idea.

Jack almost laughed... Almost. "Lulu, you have nothing to worry about. I'm over 500 and I'm still here. There are no age limits at this school. They assume most people will leave when they outgrow the place, and generally that's by the equivalent of a 25 year old human, but there are no rules as to when you can leave. Partly because people like me, with very long lifespans, would be kinda out of the running very quickly. At 20 I was still a hatchling." He shrugged.

A 500 year old.. That's like an ancient being. Lu had only met such an aged creature once before and that way when she was younger. Her bright eyes continued to stay very wide throughout their brief conversation, but she eventually regained some composure. "Oh, what a relief!" She breathed setting down her worn travel pack. Lu thanked him then turned around to look at the rest of the new arrivals. Some appeared to be typical human teens and others blew their cover with their arrival. So many people needed shelter and for them to be so young. Just thinking about her younger days made Lu shudder. Trying to be social, she smiled kindly at the rest of the people gathering around the doors.

Panting a little from the weight of her pack, Eva walked straight toward Lulu and gave her a firm handshake, then did the same with Jack. "Nice to meet you," she said, beaming. "I'm Eva. Are pets allowed here?"

Jack nodded and turned to Eva."Hello Eva. I'm Jack. I'm the guy you come to if you have any questions or need any guidance. And yes, pets are allowed here. I have a pet myself, so I know that it's fine. If it becomes an issue, then it can be changed, but it shouldn't be." He smiled. "Nice to meet you."

"H..hello Eva" She said kindly when a young lady came up to shake her hand. Such confidence, it was refreshing to see someone so bold. She glanced down nervously at Eva's hand and she remembered she forgot to put on her gloves. When was the last time she fed? Maybe six hours ago? It's best not to risk it. "One sec" She shoved her hand into her pack and retrieved some old leather gloves with cracks and tears. Tugging the gloves over her hands she went on to shake her hand. "I shouldn't make skin contact, I'm sorry for making this awkward." Lu sighed.

James walked over to the others after coming out of the(very noticeable) dark portal to the Death Realm where reapers lived. He stayed quiet though, keeping his scythe resting on his shoulder while he carried it.

Jack noticed James arriving and wondered about why he was there. He knew of reapers, but none had ever been to the school before, mainly because reapers don't have the issue of having to make their own way while interspersed with humans, they exist in a separate realm, most of the time. He couldn't understand his presence, but he thought it best not to question it.

Of course, reapers also, instead of seeing the normal world, could see all the life energy of the world. Everything was completely black, except for white outlines of all solids, and a white mist for anything that has life energy. James could tell how confused Jack was though, and held up a note: I am sending my son to this school so he can learn to act like the mortals do. - Thanatos, A.K.A. Death

Cam walked over to the school and looked around. He hated schools by his mother and aunts said that he had to go to one or else there would be trouble for him. They thought that he needed to be there to learn more. Bart floated by his ear and looked at the group. He nodded his head and smiled. "Cam Mathers. Witch. Nice to meet you all." He said as Bart floated around the group happily.

Jack chuckled at the note. "Fair enough. Welcome to the school." He then turned to Cam. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jack. Consider me as a mentor. If you have any questions, then you come to me. That is if it relates to the school. I don't do relationship advice or any form of counseling." He shrugged. "Other than that I'm pretty good." He smiled brightly. "Now, everyone pay attention!" He called to the group. "Please be aware that the male dorms are in the eastern tower, and the female dorms are the western tower. The dining hall, which is where all meals will be served, is the door opposite the entrance, and the gym is to the back of the building. The library is the large room nearest the girls dorm, and there is a building behind the castle which is reserved for events. The room below the boys dorm is a social area, similar to the park to the east of the school, and the forest to the west. There is a mountain range with caves scattered throughout behind the school, and you may be able to see some of it now. Please be aware that there is a human city not too far from here, so discretion is advised. If you plan to go to the city, you have to be first given permission, which you can obtain from me, but only after being here for a short while. That's all for now, if you have any questions let me know."

Confused at Lulu's attitude, Eva drew back slightly. She assumed it must have been part of the whole mythical creature shabang, but it didn't exactly scare her; the girl seemed nice enough. "That's okay!" she said, then turned to look at the others. She stared, very interested, at the reaper with his scythe over his shoulder and grinned, impressed. She'd never been around other mythical beings, and the whole situation was very exciting for her. "Wow, even Death is here. That's so cool.."
