Quote or Theme song: "In life as in dance: grace glides on blistered feet"
Personality:
Contrary to the popular belief that ballerinas are to be prim and proper, Cait is the complete opposite. She's loud, she's vulgar, she loves to party and she loves to dance, whether it be to Bach's violin concerto or the latest trashy pop song. The only thing that has stopped Cait from experimenting with drugs and illegal substances has been her concern for her body. She doesn't want to risk the health effects of marijuana, crack, or even simply drinking too much. To Cait, trading her health and her strength for an hour of feeling high was definitely not worth it.
Throughout her childhood and adolescence, Cait was always the talkative girl in class, the social butterfly who had the dirt on anyone and everyone and was not afraid to spill some secrets. But the girls and boys and her studio knew her as the silent and determined dancer. She is free-spirited and flighty when it comes to everything except ballet. Ballet was something Cait had always, always, always taken extremely seriously, and she often frowned at how some of her fellow dancers would slack off or chat while the teacher was talking, but hey it was none of her business so she kept her mouth shut.
Cait is very sociable and has many friends that she still somewhat keeps in touch with. She has always been a bright, vibrant person, if not one to keep her mouth shut 24/7. She is obviously an extrovert, and there's something about her that makes people want to talk to her-whether it be the easygoing smile she wears or the sparkle of life in her grey-green eyes. Some people have labelled her as charismatic, which Cait thinks is false because she doesn't command the center of everyone's attention all the time. Nevertheless, Cait's spunky attitude and optimism definitely has not hindered her in making friends.
History:
Caitlin, or Cait, was born and raised in Pallasburgh with her twin sister and her younger brother. Their family was a relatively happy one; Cait had two parents who rarely ever fought, her father had a good job that paid well, and her mother encouraged Cait every step of the way in her dream to become a professional ballerina. Cait was very close to both of her siblings, despite the fact her younger brother could be irritating-it was all in good fun.
From a young age, Cait had loved ballet. When she was maybe four or five, she asked her mother if she could become a dancer when she grew up. Her mother had given her an absentminded "of course you can" as a reply, but when it appeared that it was a serious goal and not just some fleeting dream that left as quickly as it came, Cait's mother signed her up for lessons at the dance studio in a larger town maybe a forty-five minute drive from where they lived.
Cait was always an outgoing and loquacious girl, but whenever she was at the ballet studio she seemed to undergo a transformation. She rarely ever talked during class unless it was before, after, or during break, and she gave her all to ballet. Cait was never naturally flexible like some of the other girls at her studio, but with the stubbornness of a mule and the resolve of steel the young girl had, she eventually became the first to get her oversplits from a foot off the floor down on both legs, among other things. Although she didn't attract much attention of her peers during class, Cait was always quietly stretching or practicing in the background.
Throughout her school years, Cait took ten hours of ballet a week-two hours every afternoon from Monday to Friday. She did her homework in the car or during the breaks that they had in class, and managed to get by with fairly decent grades. She was never going to be a valedictorian, oh no-she wanted to be a prima donna ballerina. Performance-wise, Cait loved every second of it. She liked being in the spotlight and showing the world what she could do, after so many hours put into practicing. She swore that she could dance until her feet bled and still keep going (in fact, when one of the blisters on the bottom of her foot popped in the middle of class, Cait gritted her teeth and pressed on, trying to perfect a grand jete).
When her ballet instructors finally deemed her ready to begin pointe work, Cait was ecstatic. She adored everything about pointe-from the shoes to how beautiful the feet of pointe dancers seemed when they were performing.
In high school, freshman year, Cait sprained her ankle. It was her first ever ballet-related injury, and even though she wasn't allowed to dance so her ankle could recover, Cait spent her time out of the studio maintaining her flexibility and strength, being very careful not to damage her ankle even further. By the time June of that year had rolled around, she was back in the studio.
Cait graduated high school and was accepted into a Julliard in New York City, a city far, far away from sleepy Pallasburgh. She bade a fond farewell to her family and her twin sister, for her twin sister was going to a university in California to study biochemistry. In college, Cait was faced with dancers either as good as her or better than her. With such tough competition, Cait remained unfazed and kept doing what she was doing without forging the jealousies and rivalries that some of her classmates had set in stone by the time the first day was over. Cait was always willing to take criticism and she would offer up her advice to anyone who asked for it, no matter if she genuinely liked them or not.
After graduating college, Cait was hired for some minor background roles in ballet shows across New York City. A few years later, she landed her first lead role in a ballet production, which Cait regards as one of her shining moments in life. She visited her family in Pallasburgh every-so-often, where they would tease her about finding a husband and starting a family. Cait had always laughed along with them, but she had no desire to marry someone at the moment and sex repulsed her, which led her to identify as asexual. Her family and friends didn't think much of it and simply accepted it, which Cait was immensely grateful for.
At the start of the roleplay, Cait is in Pallasburgh to attend a high school reunion as well as visit some old friends and family. She will be staying for an extended period of time, having saved up a lot of vacation time from her job in New York City.

✖History:Pallasburgh had been Montana's home since she was born. She would probably die there, though God willing, she prayed she wouldn't. The problem with Pall was that everyone pretty much knew everyone and no matter how hard you tried to keep a secret, someone somewhere knew the truth. If they didn't know the truth, they at least found a way to entertain the lie far enough to where it replaced the truth.
Growing up Mo' had a pretty easy going life being the youngest of the Crowley children, light farming, helping her parents, and the chore here and there took up most of her life. It wasn't until her father had a heart attack that she knew that life was truly a double edged sword. The death had been hard on her mother and her, Her older brother Morrison hadn't seemed too concerned about it through Montana's eyes, but only until she grew older she understood as to why he had to be strong for the whole family. When their mother had pledged to leaving, Montana begged and pleaded with her mother to bring her with:
"I won't take any space! Please take me with, please don't leave me here." she sobbed.
Her mother could not bare to take any piece of Pallasburgh with her, and that included her only daughter. Morrison became both a father figure, and a reason for rebellion to Montana, and that's where life began to get hard. Morrison and Montana did not often see eye to eye on work ethic. He wanted everything to be done right there and right now, while Montana could wait a few days...weeks, or even months to start and finish a project. It drove Morrison crazy, and Montana quite enjoyed doing just that after awhile. "You're not Dad, Morrison! You can't tell me what to do all the damn time!" she would say as a young teenager living in his home. Boy, did that drive him up the wall! During these times, Montana had fell into the wrong crowd of kids. By all means Pallasburgh wasn't a crime infested city, but as far as bad kids go- Mo was one of them. Partying every weekend and staying out late every weekday became the norm for the young girl during her youth.
When the death of her mother reached town, Montana was barely phased. Some of the women gossiped it was suicide, some gossiped that it was murder. Montana gossiped that she wasn't her real mother anyways, or she would have taken her with her. Either way, life moved on and as Morrison grew into more of a man, Montana was stuck in her childish ways, taking advantage of the situation she was in, and not doing much to change it.
The moment Montana turned 18 she had to leave the house, not because she had to, but because she needed to. She couldn't bare to live with her brother anymore, though it pained her to leave- she knew it was for the best. Doing odd jobs around town she managed enough money for a small place in town. Her life was getting back on track, she met a man, fell in love, and became pregnant with a child in a matter of years. Montana was glowing in happiness, she was steady and finally becoming a young independent woman.
When the man she loved turned around and walked out on her. That was strike one.
When the bank told her she was losing her house and was bound to become homeless. That was strike two.
When the hospital informed her abnormal bleeding was because of a miscarriage. That was strike three.
Montana had gone from the top of the world to lower than dirt in a matter of years. Drinking, drug use, sex- became her normal day routine. Her reputation around town was split into two categories; Home wrecker or Nice piece of ass. Montana preferred the second one, but the first one seemed to happen more often in the small town. Reaching 30 things slowed down a bit again for Mo, she wanted to settle down and have a family, but no one really wanted to wife someone with such a reputation. That's why she needed to get out of town and leave that reputation behind her.
Montana has been saving up some money to leave Pall. She still drinks, does drugs, and has sex on the occasion, but it definitely has slowed down a bit since her teen and younger years. Currently she rents a room in the local hotel as permanent residence. She is trying to rebuild a good relationship with her brother, and tries to have a healthy relationship with her several 'friends' in town.

History:
Abridged Version - Emily was a sociable person, grew up Catholic, fell in love with a girl, her parents disapproved, and the girl broke her heart and left her. Emily left home to get away from her family and her church community and ended up in Pall.
Emily grew up in a strict Catholic household with heavily enforced gender roles. Her father worked as an engineer and her mother was mostly a homemaker with occasional substitute teaching jobs. She had both an older and a younger brother, but no sisters. The older brother excelled in academics, while the younger focused on sports. Emily herself was the socialite of the family. She was always well liked by her teachers, peers, and church community, and admired by many of her classmates.
It wasn't until Emily's junior year of college that she and her family's perfect balance was interrupted. She had gone away for school, attending a somewhat local culinary arts college a few hours from home. While it was her first choice school, being away from home left her feeling a little lost. However, it was there she met Bella (short for Annabelle), one of her three roommates for the next several semesters. Bella was a little taller than Emily, slender, quirky, and some would say a bit eccentric. She and Emily became fast friends, and they bonded over common interests, religion, and a shared sense of humor that Emily didn't even know she had. It was on the spring break trip they took together their sophomore year that Emily realized that she might have deeper feelings for her new found friend. Feeling uncomfortable in her own skin, Emily started to pull away over the following summer break, trying to understand and find herself again. She turned to religion and told no one of her feelings.
That fall, they reunited and it was like nothing had changed. They were back to being the best of friends, attending school, social, and church functions together again like before. It was after Sunday mass that they got texts from their school announcing canceled classes for the following day due to a predicted snowstorm. They decided to celebrate with some rum, eggnog, hot chocolate, gingerbread men, sappy romance movies, and a blanket fort! Cuddled together in Emily's bed, they watched the movie and loved it for it's every cliche. During the movie, Emily, with the courage from a little alcohol, admitted that she actually preferred girls over guys. She'd had a boyfriend or two in the past, but it never really worked out. This, however, she was certain of. When Bella asked how she knew she was so sure, Emily confessed her feelings for her. Bella, after a few long moments of silence, also confessed that she was actually 'bi-curious' and thought she felt the same.
From there, their romance flourished. They tried to hide it, knowing that their religion was not accepting of such feelings, however, their classmates and roommates could tell there was something more. They were always together. They would always pick each other up from classes, bring lunch for one another at work, and sometimes hold glances that lasted just a little too long. When finally confronted with it, they confessed their relationship and, surprisingly, were accepted with open arms by their peers. However, when it came time to tell their parents, they did not get the reaction they had expected.
It was decided that the first week of summer vacation, they would spend at Bella's family home, as it was only an hour from their school. They had then planned to stay a week at Emily's before going on a couple's cruise they had signed up for. It was over dinner that Bella decided to announce their relationship. Her parents were mortified and her mother pleaded with her, hoping it was merely a joke. Upon finding out it was not, her parents' horror turned to anger and they scolded the girls for their 'sinful acts,' accusing Emily of corrupting their daughter. They demanded she leave the next day.
Emily stayed the night on the family's couch, hardly capable of sleeping. She felt ashamed, distraught, and alone. All she wanted was to be with Bella, yet they wouldn't let the two see each other. At some odd hour of the night, Emily heard a loud crash near her head before being flung to the hard ground. It was dark, but Emily tried to scratch and push away her attacker. She let out a yell, only to be silence by a hand over her mouth. It didn't take long before the lights came on to reveal Bella's brother on top of her. Quickly, Bella swooped in, trying to pull her brother off Emily. They struggled and screamed profanities at each other, and it wasn't until their parents came in and separated them that they quieted down and stopped fighting. Emily was once again blamed for what happened and was told to leave that night. Bella tried to defend her, and was kicked out as a result. They stayed at a near by motel for the night, until Emily's parents picked them up the next day. They lied about the situation and kept their relationship a secret from her parents, fearing their reaction might be the same.
After about three days, Bella told Emily she couldn't do this anymore. She said that she had been wrong. She never really loved her and that her mother was right, it had all been a mistake. Emily was heartbroken, because after everything they had just been through, Emily was still happy because at least they were together. She asked what changed, and Bella admitted that her mother had called, saying that if Bella could admit she was wrong and doesn't actually feel that way, she could come back home. That day, she left, leaving Emily feeling empty and alone. A few days later, Emily's mother found her crying in her room and asked her what was wrong. It was there that she confessed everything. She told her mother the full story about their real relationship and how she felt.
Emily's mother told her not to tell anyone else about this, not her friends, not her brothers, and especially not her father. She said they wouldn't understand and that it was a sin that only god could help her fix. Emily felt hurt that her mother thought everyone would be so close minded. She used the summer to reconnect with her hometown friends and heal her broken heart. Eventually, she came out to one of her closest friends, and it wasn't long before the news was wide spread throughout their church community. Her father was the last to hear about it, but his reaction was the most devastating for Emily. He pulled her out of her culinary arts institute and enrolled her into a private local college to finish off her last year in their culinary program. Feeling that the people from her other college corrupted her, he wanted her home so he could monitor her more closely.
Initially, Emily found solace in her faith. However, she couldn't attend Sunday mass without receiving sad glances and disapproving stares. When she would walk to mass or confession alone, she would often get harassed by neighborhood kids throwing firecrackers at her feet or jumping out trying to scare her. It always worked. Her regular attendance soon became a seldom occurrence, only going on holidays with her family or if her eldest brother was in town and would go with her. Eventually, she just stopped going all together. She finished the year and graduated without much trouble. It wasn't until several months after she stopped attending mass that she decided to give it another shot and went to confess her sins once again. Leaving, she felt relief after so long of being separated from her faith. However, on her way home, she was stopped by a few of her former high school classmates. They walked past her, purposely shoving her aside and whispering derogatory statements at her under their breath, causing her to finally snap and stand up for herself. That didn't end well for her. Next thing she knew, her older brother's best friend was pulling her aggressors from atop of her and shoving them away. They left, condemning him for interfering as he helped her to her feet. He walked her home and explained what happened to her parents. Her mother cried and her father plainly stated that it was God's punishment for her actions.
Without a word, Emily was gone the next morning before anyone had gotten out of bed. She took a train, a couple buses, and walked a few miles, eventually landing herself in Pallasburgh, unsure of what to do, but knowing that she would know no one in this small town. With the money she had saved up doing part time jobs in high school and college, she rented a motel room for few months while she worked as a waitress for a mom and pop diner close by. That is, until she stumbled upon a listing in the paper someone had put out looking for a roommate. She discovered that it was an apartment that resided above a small bakery that she had never really noticed before, granted she rarely traveled to that side of town, but she thought she would have at least heard about it by now. Emily and her new roommate got along well. She worked at the bakery below and introduced Emily to the owners, who happened to be in need of an extra set of hands, especially since her roommate was going to be moving away in a few months. It's been a month since her roommate left, and Emily can afford rent on her own, but life by herself has been a little lonely so she has been secretly on the look out to possibly move someone else in.

History: Scott Ramond Seguro Cudi (who's became known as Driff ever since he can remember -- no one really remembers when this nickname stuck let alone why) was born in Cleveland, Ohio to a poor African American family. He had two older brothers and one older sister -- Domingo, Dean, and Maisha. His father was a painter and part time substitute teacher World War II Marine veteran. His father was of Mexican descent whereas his mother was African-American. At only the age of eleven, his father died of cancer. This passing was not one that Driff would take lightly. In fact, his father's death would affect him for the rest of his life. The death of his father left him depressed and lonely, looking for someone to latch onto. His mother was never available as she worked two jobs to support the family. Driff was a straight edge kid who never got in trouble, but his brothers were entirely different; they would get caught up with the wrong crowd and get involved with "hood things" as Driff put it due to the lack of their father.
Driff could distinctly remember as a kid, everytime Christmas would come around his mom would have to hustle on the Christmas grind to be able to get the presents. Life was tough as a kid for Driff without his father in the slums of Cleveland, but he powered through. As Driff would grow older he would attempt to "piece the puzzle of the universe" as he put it in his songs. He would try and figure out the world so he could find closure and soothe his grief. At around 16, Driff would begin to get symptoms of an insomniac. He could no longer sleep at night anymore, always tossing and turning with no where to go. He was in an isolated state of dismay and depression, almost like the dark side of the moon. It was also around this time that Driff began rapping. His first album was titled "The Legacy of the Man on the Moon" to signify the way he felt.
He would keep rapping, only to experience short spurts of fame. At one point he became extremely famous for his hit single "Night N' Day" but this would only leave him to fade into obscurity yet again. At one point, Driff harbored a marijuana addiction so strong that he attended rehab for it. After being discharged he decided to head to his Aunt's house in Pallasburgh to get away from the big city and the drugs and just recollect his head a little bit -- Maybe even get inspiration for his new album.
