"Oh dear." Aery was momentarily taken aback by the sobbing Celaena. "Hey, hey, Celaena, Celaena. Aelin? Lady Sardothien. Aelin. Celaena, come on. We've got to keep it together, just for a few more hours, okay? Just a few more hours, once we've gotten all the kids safe and this killer locked in a cell, then we can go curl up in corners and cry. But not until then, because we've got a hundred other kids depending on us." But she also wanted to cry. So she embraced Celaena, for a moment, and then pulled the woman to her feet. Apparently, the sound she'd heard had just been an echo or something, so she went to the broken-down door and knocked twice. Ame and Silly came out along with the seven or eight other urchins who'd been in there. Except...
"Kick is sick an' I can' carry him." The oldest girl there, only about seven, said softly. "He's on'y four, bu' he's nearabou' as big as me, an' I can' carry him an' run."
So Aery went into the building, gathered up the feverish four year old (who was very large for a four-year-old) and cradled him in her arms. She'd figure out what was wrong with him later, the important thing was getting them to safety. She used a length of cloth that she'd brought from the palace, looped it around Silly's back, and tucked the boy in there. Silly was strong, she knew, and certainly healthier than the group's leader.
"Hurry, Silly, and take them to the guild by the palace. Tell whoever's waiting there that Aelin Sardothien and her apprentice Aerienna Silverheart sent you there to seek refuge. You know the way. The rest of you, follow Silenia. Hold hands, all of you, and don't let ANYONE separate you, no matter what." She hurried them off, with a final comment of "Stick to the shadows!" and turned back to Celaena, awaiting instructions.
(User, I thought I'd made it clear that we'd cornered you. And there's no way you can know about the other urchin camp, since it was Aery's thought and not actually spoken. I'll let it go this time, as I am taking the opportunity to get the urchins out of there, but now we're even, okay, because I messed up on one of my posts, and you kind of messed up this one. You can't keep ignoring our character's actions towards you. I'm sorry that this came out so harshly, but I thought I should mention it.)
