Monster Name: Avalai Ambre Merigue Other Names: "The Vampire Queen" "Duchess of Blood" "Countess of Transylvania" Monster type: Vampire Appearance: Has long, whispy red hair usually pinned up in a sign of nobility and piercing golden yes. Carries an air of royalty everywhere she goes and hasn't been seen without amazing attire since 1534. Also carries many gowns and outfits with her at all times, thanks to her Thralls. Girl's gotta have their shoes afterall~ Personality: Demure, dainty, dangerous. All three of these words describe the lady Avalai only in passing. Truthfully, she is much harsher, much more rash, and holds incredibly little patience for anyone. She enjoys the finer things in life, including leading night hunts that may or may not end in a ball of blood. She is unpredictable and has long overcome the shock of witnessing death. Perhaps, she even enjoys it. Ah, but of course, it all must be done with a touch of class. Bio: Miss Avalai was turned into the red queen she is today at the ripe age of 25, so many, many centuries ago. Bitten by a vampire vying for power, she was kidnapped by him and brainwashed into being his escorting lady to Dracula's lavish evening balls. He misconstrued her gentleness for weakness, however, and she killed him at the ball that very night when, ironically, even though she was the one that was being held against her will, showed interest in other women. She became a point of interest to Dracula and was accepted into his more.... closer crew. With the help and pointers of other vampires she was able to grow her knowledge of aristocracy while simultaneously developing the overpowering sensation of thirst. It was She who began the hunts, the mass hoards of vampires stalking in the night, providing terror to all those who set eye upon the legion behind her. Monster Name: Alcaeus Other Names: The Hundred-Handed One, He of Myriad Arms, Titan-Slayer, 'Al' Monster type: Hekatonkheire Appearance: Alcaeus is very underwhelming at first glance. He looks to be an average guy of above average height, around 6'2". He is decently muscled, distinguishable as a man that has seen physical labour before, perhaps in the form of farmwork. His skin is tanned a smooth bronze and is riddled in scars, pock marks, scratches and burns. His face is of fairly average attractiveness, with an aquiline nose and thin lips, his eyes are heavily-lidded and usually half closed, barely showing their hazel colouration flecked with touches of gold. He wears common clothing. His hair is black and cut to be ear length. When transformed, his skin pulls tighter and reveals the musculature and bones hidden beneath. It takes on a distinctly metallic sheen, becoming more like actual bronze. His eyes sink into his head and become black, skeletal pits. He grows taller as well, up to 10' tall. Personality: Laid-back, Well-mannered, Tired, Easily amused, Witty and Kind. Bio: Al has been around for a very, very long time. Centuries would be a fair ballpark to guess within. He was merely a child when the Titans fell, his father being involved in their downfall. Soon after the fall of the Titans, Al was trained to defend himself and survive before being sent from his father's side to live among the humans, in order to learn more of the world. He was raised to live the life of a commoner, set to work in the fields with a family he knew not to be his. Regardless, he toiled in the fields and with the livestock. With the strength of his father, and arms enough to spare, he found the work to be more fun than troublesome. For centuries, farm life is all he knew. He had his offer of chances into a higher life. Circus Strongman, Freakshow, Star Athlete, Wrestling Career. He even gave the wrestling career a try, but found it wasn't to his liking. Al has lived through more events than he cares to mention, some fantastic, some tragic, and has even had a hand in a small few. Mostly all he wants is to run his farm and sell his produce, living in peace and living close to Mother Gaia. But now he's been invited to this shindig, and frankly he's reluctant to attend. He hopes his farm will be okay. Can't refuse hospitality though. Other: Immensely physically strong.

Monster Name/ Cain Carmine Other Names/ The hunger, The cannibal, The many voiced one, *Cap'n Crunch Monster type/ Wendigo Appearance/ As a human (stands at 6'0") & as a wendigo (stands 8'5") Personality/ On the surface, Cain is a fairly normal person, a bit melancholy with subtle hints of self loathing and admittedly blunt in his speech and mannerisms perhaps, but ultimately a person who you could see blending into a crowd, or perhaps as the nieghbor you'd trust to housesit for you. This is not a facade, and Cain is a genuinely decent guy, but as a human. Prior to or upon transformation, Cain becomes a true monster; savage, unclouded by morality or the notions of camaraderie, and endlessly hungry for flesh. As a wendigo Cain can be unruly, but is not entirely unreasonable, he has an extreme fondness for games, so much so that he'll forgo devouring someone if they willingly play one of his games, and even sparing and showing those that can best him the uttermost respect. Bio/ The only thing Cain ever willingly admits about his past is that he was born in Oregon in the late sixties, that he used to be human, and that what he became cost him his closest friends. He's more than fine with talking about the present, such as the fact that he works as an auto mechanic in florida, doing his best to seem human despite the fact that one night a month he hunts down and devours anyone that wouldn't be missed. While predominantly male his appearance shifts and alters to match the titles he's called by. His main name, Like, varies greatly and mostly reflects the person or creature he addresses. Personality/ While usually careless and playful, Like's demeanor shifts drastically when things are at stake. The things that need to be at stake to rattle Like vary wildly both in nature as in duration. His one weakness is games, which he will happily participate in and, if beaten submit to. He is by nature bound to his word when given in context of a game. Bio/ Like's BIO isn't easy to describe chronologically, since most of his exploits never come to light. At least not in a way to hint to him. Few humans have seen or met him, and none have been connected to one another. Other/ Like's shape and form may grant abilities or features copied from his surroundings. These are all illusionary, and while their effects would feel, sound, look, smell and taste real, when the illusion ends so do it's effects. (i.e. say Like turns into something that breathes fire, it would hurt and burn like real fire. The pain and fear could easily cause a human to collapse, but no real harm is done. Likewise, if someone were to eat Like. Like would reappear nearby in another form, and the eater's belly wouldn't be satisfied.)

No one knows the boy's past and hopes to tell to story to someone he can trust but for now he is exhausted and managed to get away from all who wants to kill jack and seeks a place to stay. Be has a big black hood that covers his head, only his smirking face appears to the beholder, that of a white skull, yet with a dreadful visage. He has his Scathe with him for the reaping, he almost always carries it around. Personality/ Mysterious, Gloomy, Fiendish, Cynical, Sarcastic, horrible at grammar and math. Bio/ Snazzy is one of the ten Grim Reapers dispatched to collect souls in God's earth, he is the most active one, a rookie, 8000 years in the business.

Appearance/ With dusty skin stretched thinly over old bones atop little more than a gold-plaited headdress and loincloth, Djedkare seems phenomenally fragile. However, his skeletal nature hides a supernatural strength beyond all compare. Anyone who gathered up the courage to touch Djedkare's skin realized that it is, while horrendously old, as strong as aged teak and as resilient as carbon nanofibers. Most notable is the fact that Djedkare is missing all of his organs. Eyes to tongue to brain to appendix, he has none of them.

Personality/ Djedkare is a jovial sort, often engaging in childish pranks and telling filthy jokes to all who would listen. He has a strange tendency to drink rotten and decomposed foods instead of fresher alternatives. All in all, Djedkare Izezi is friendly to a fault, and often underestimates his friends.

Bio/ As the Eighth Ruler of the Fifth Dynasty of Egypt, Djedkare was born with a golden spoon in his mouth. After dying at the positively-ancient age of 50, Djedkare was mummified and entombed as according to custom. Though his soul moved on, his body remained "alive" through the ancient rituals of his people, effectively making him a cantankerous old lich. Three thousand years later, Djedkare was unearthed by the enterprising archeologists Doctor William Abbott and Mister Lou Costello. Though Djedkare was wont to curse them for all eternity, their pleasant reactions upon meeting him warmed his separately-stored heart. Instead, he decided to see the wonders of civilization on their behalf, and retired in Miami for quite some time. Wanderlust eventually overcame him, and it was how he managed to find his way to Monsters Hotel.

Other/ Djedkare is capable of inflicting terrible curses upon those who disturb him. These mostly have the effect of making their victim's children suffer from a mild case of measles and causing their victim's centipede, spider, and ladybug population to see a marked increase.

Monster Name: Shadowblight Monster Type: Unholy, divine entity Other names: The End, The Magic Eraser Appearance: Dark light has no definite form, but he can materialize as anything or "borrow" the bodies of other people, things, or creatures. His most common form without a host is a shadowy knight wielding a massive blade. However, when in casual situations like everyday life, he prefers being a nine year old boy and tainting children's innocence. In his non-physical state, he maintains the outline of a man sometimes but usually stays invisible to joke with his pal, the Invisible Man. Personality: He like to eat angel meat and drink from the energy of stars and planets near their end, when they've matured and taste best. He hates religion most of all for their Zealotry and blind faith. He especially despises their clear-cut views on morality. He's generally passive in contrast to his looming presence. Bio/Origins: Shadowblight was there when the universe was created. He watched as his family and friends threw their lives, their very existences, away in order to create the vast and infinite universe. He is, as far as he knows, the last of his kind. He has since taken a liking to Earth, constantly interfering with mankind or helping them along, whatever interests him most. Other: Shadowblight likes them small and firm. His main strength is also his only weakness, although it can easily be reversed so long as he has enough energy to do so. He can wipe himself out from existence as well as anything else, but he can easily recreate himself until he is wiped completely from everything;memories, history, and anything he has ever influenced. Only her thick black boots can be seen from under and she keeps her hair tied in a strong bun.

Bio/ Marie was left on the streets as a young child because her mother disliked her childs abnormal genetic makeup. She lived a hard life on her own and was soon adopted by a kind stranger, who sent her to school and made her go to parties. Marie cant remember a lot because this time period is blurry to her but she remembers a lot of men asking to marry her, and running away to discover she had the power to see souls and send them to the afterlife with a touch of her sledner finger.

Appearance/ Kakutoku Sha is a tanuki with brown fur, racoon face and a massive bushy tail, that stands at five feet. He is always wearing a large neon purple cape, with white leopard fur interior. He has a massive belly that is always visible. He wears a bright white sumo mawashi, that appears rather strained and near the breaking point. And he strolls with a cane that holds a golden and emerald gilded sake bottle ontop.(If Shapeshifted he appears as an young, long-haired priest in a ceremonial kimono)

Personality/ Kakutoku Sha, or as he prefers to call himself Sweet Daddy K is a joyful individual. He is always in a cheerful mood, and enjoys indulging himself. This is only enhanced when he drinks. Sweet Daddy K enjoys doing his business and making people happy. However if crossed, especially by someone close to him he is quite brutal. And of course he loves the sweet nature of money.

Bio/ Kakutoku Sha was born in Yoshinogawa, Tokushima. He would do the bit that his family did, turn into a priest, and if attacked by a blade would multiply himself. That quickly grew boring, and Kakutoku Sha decided he needed a new way to live. Using his sweet charms he became the hit known as 'Sweet Daddy K - The Miracle Worker'. Course every good man needs a vacation, so he decided to stop on over at this hotel.

Other/ Sweet Daddy K's mind is an impregnable fortress. Any cutting/stabbing attack on him just multiplies him. Can shapeshift into a human. Is followed by a loyal staff of ladies. Magic clothes for shapeshiftin' yo.

Other names: that girl with the big spooky eye, "her unfortunate elder sister".

Appearance: standing at just 1.60 metres tall, Dr. Hitomi has a fairly weak complexion. Thin arms, slim legs, slender waist, narrow shoulders... in contrast to her generous chest and wide hips, which grant her a very attractive hourglass figure.

However, as incredible as it may seem, not many eyes focus first on her impressive G-cup breasts. Dr. Hitomi's face is much more peculiar and prone to attract people's attention: delicate lips, small nose, rounded cheeks, beautiful black hair... and a single giant red eye in the middle of it. Sadly for her, not many people seem to be able to notice her cute ladylike features past an eyeball that practically takes up half of her face, although not for the same reasons.

Personality: kind and caring, always trying to do her best to help other people. However, although she tries to appear as cheerful as possible to others, Dr. Hitomi is in fact a sad woman with a very low self-esteem.

Biography: other than the death of her mother 10 years ago and countless unsuccessful relationships, Dr. Hitomi's life has been rather uneventful.

Always overshadowed by her little sister's success and often picked on by her clumsiness, the cyclops' life has slowly been fading into a grey rutine of utter mediocrity. However, in order to preserve her sanity, she had recently decided to go on vacation somewhere far away from her sad life.

Personality/ Limbani is a hyena. He's prone to sticking to his friends, laughs in the face of danger, and tends to respond to almost anything with "You gonna eat that?".
Bio/ Limbani is from a village of Werehyenas in the African wilderness. Like most werehyenas, the citizens of this village are hyenas with the ability to assume human form to pursue jobs, study, or trade, rather than humans suffering from a curse. Limbani's not quite sure why he got the invitation. He's not even a real monster, in his opinion- just a sentient hyena wizard blacksmith. But in Somalia, you don't turn down an invitation that shows up on actual stationary.

In the time of Egypt, Rome, and as far back as there has been civilization, the people of Limbani's village were famed blacksmiths and wizards. Kings, nobles, saints, and heroes would travel from across Africa, Europe, and even Asia to seek a masterwork or enchantment from the hyenas. And then the modern age came and obsoleted most of the tribe's trade.

Limbani understands the fallen glory of his people, and accepts it. Thankfully, the superstitious nature of the Somalian people and the collapse of their government means that people still put stock in magic and smithing- it's not like there's a hardware store. Limbani's tribe is pretty well-off, all things considered. They actually have a regular supply of food (in corpses), raw materials (in melted down guns), and medicine (they're wizards with healing magic). The tribe has become highly respected, and truces with the local powerbrokers (read: anyone with three guys and a machine gun) have kept them out of the civil wars that rack their homeland. Because of this, Limbani's tribe gets to play Arms Dealer to every warring faction in Somalia. Granted, these weapons are usually magical swords and armor, but it's a living.

Other/ As a Werehyena, he is an incredibly talented wizard. Although the jobs are outdated in the modern age, he is a powerful magician, blacksmith, and woodcutter in his human form. Despite the name of his species, he is not actually a modern striped hyena, but rather a much larger species dating back to the ice age. He's roughly the size of a tiger, normally.

Monster type/ Hodag
Appearance/ Hodag Jr. looks much like an elongated, scaly dog with spikes protruding from his back and head. His scales/skin are pitch black, and his eyes are a bright red. He is about the size of an alligator and has very long tusks.
Personality/ The Hodag species is a vicious and bloodthirsty one by nature. Hodag Jr. is not an exception, though his temperament is significantly better than most, due to being domesticated. He does not attack on sight, but is still rather violent.
Bio/ The story of the Hodag is a sad one. A species of Northern Wisconsin, hunted out of fear, few Hodags ever lived long enough to even taste blood. Hodag Jr. was just an egg when his family's nest was discovered. Every other Hodag in the nest was killed, and his egg was taken by an eccentric collector of cryptids. He was the prize of the collection, pampered with steaks, and trained to "behave". One day, his owner was slain in a mob-related killing, and all of the cryptids broke loose soon after. Since then, he has wandered the land seeking purpose.
Other/ Is afraid of Wendigoes, as one used to steal his food whilst he lived in captivity.
