Checking in: I've mostly mapped out the ship, which will probably be as big as a galleon after all. I think I'll include descriptions of each room in the first post of the OOC as they're explored IC, and group everyone by which room they're in. Three groups of five to start, each group will wake up in a different room.

How this is going to work: There are no NPCs (that you know of) onboard. Interact with the environment to make things happen. Discover information and potential tools/keys/potions/magic thingamabobs that might help you later. Interact with your fellow characters. Every little thing your character does has a chance of drastically affecting everything and everyone else. Doing nothing does nothing.

Now, it's just a matter of writing the first post.

Good question. Please do proceed with logical assumptions based on the information given. There's no need to "try to" pull a lever or climb a bookcase or pick a flower. Just do it. Break things, carve your name into them, paint them, jump on them, push all the buttons, whatever, go for it, it's all there to be abused. If you find a room full of random metal parts you can assume you can build whatever might be logically built from such things. But I'll tell you what happens when you pull that lever or push that button, and I'll tell you what happens when you touch that weird evil-looking glowy thing. In other words, I'd appreciate if everyone leaves the ship mechanics and magic to me (to avoid chaos and ensure a continuous story). Everyone's free to post or PM me and we can work together on a single post to speed things up if you like.

Even though I read that I think I will only really understand it once we start, since just because the same person rp's in another rp does not mean it will be the same exact style, or maybe it will be... who knows, but for now I will wait for the setting before unleashing Elin to do much needed exploring... I guess the button pushing could be dangerous, but I doubt his going to leave shiny, bright or epic must push me now buttons

Either way I need to start getting brave and writing my attempt at a novel, which is something I have dreamed of but which takes a back seat to other dreams, in the world of dreams having too many dreams leads to and endless dream that never ends

I ran a D&D game where there were three Chris's in the game. We had a running joke where everyone in the game was a Chris of one manner or another. It was great! #OffTopicThings
