Biography: One of Academy City's many Child Errors, orphans abandoned by parents within the City of Science and left at the mercy of Academy City administration. In that sense Sasaki could be called one of the fortunate ones, living a childhood free from any unethical experimentation. However, in his youth Sasaki was a problem child with little self-control and surprising levels of strength to match. For a time, he dealt with his temper by devoting himself to his elementary school baseball team, but eventually his tempestuous nature consumed him. He started becoming increasingly violent, starting with an incident in which Sasaki broke several bones of a kid talking trash on the enemy team via sufficient application of bat to body. Naturally, he was kicked out of the league and banned from participating in any school-sanctioned baseball games. As the MVP of their team and a decent friend to his teammates all around, he was allowed to keep the bat as some kind of (really screwed up in hindsight) memento.
Without anything left to curb his anger to the same extent, Sasaki, baseball bat in hand, took his anger out on anyone who so as much bumped into him on accident. Finally, his delinquent behavior was taken to its logical conclusion. Though he was not a Level Zero, or even an esper at all, Sasaki ended up joining a Skill-Out gang at the urging of his fellow Child Errors and teammates who'd been left as powerless Level Zeroes by the Power Curriculum Program, simply because of his greater prowess and experience in fighting. It was amongst the failures of Academy City that Sasaki made a name for himself as the infamous "Club-Wielding Oni", a moniker derived from his brutish strength, unrefined combat style, and weapon of choice. With Skill-Out, Sasaki found a 'just' way to relieve himself of his rage and a means to refine and acquire skills that would serve him well in the future. He worked his way up the ladder of his particular Skill-Out gang, becoming their top enforcer and right-hand to their boss until his departure following the gang's close-call with Anti-Skill supported by a pissed off Dark Side faction.
Once again left to his own devices and with nothing better to do, Sasaki devoted his time to a long,
long struggle with anger management classes and his own academic studies at the suggestion of the researcher that raised him. He returned to the education system and attended the middle school equivalent to Nagatenjouki Academy. Therein he was recruited by a certain Kihara to assist in the development of Academy City's military tech, predominantly as a result of his practical experience and generally reasonable attitude. At first it was going on coffee/food runs, being a sounding board for ideas, and writing out papers for the head researcher too lazy to do it himself, but somewhere along the line Sasaki proved himself capable and thus was allowed to assist in the design process. More importantly, he had earned the right to test out the new toys. While such an experience was glorious when given the opportunity, it was only a part time job. Incidentally, he attends Hybrid Academy not for the purpose of becoming a hybrid himself, but rather because a prerequisite of his job makes him better suited to helping other people become hybrids. Paranoid people are free to suggest that he's attending the academy for other, more mysterious reasons, though.
Personality: Loyal, Stoic,
ViolentSasaki has done his best to keep a lid on the hyperaggressiveness of his youth, and, to his credit, he's actually done a rather good job at that. As a result, he's not too overly expressive anymore, instead being far more reserved about his displays of emotion. He still makes faces and sighs in exasperation - though his expression seems to be more impassive half the time than anything resembling a traditional expression - but rarely will one see a raw, unbridled display of passion from Sasaki. However that isn't to say he's a perfect, monk-like image of serenity. His destructive impulses haven't disappeared; he's just gotten better at bottling them up. But like any bottle, it's inevitably going to overflow, a fact that becomes more evident when he's led into violent situations, or situations that could elevate to such. This lack of true self-control and innate desire for conflict is something Sasaki's incredibly ashamed of. As a result, tries his best to make himself out to be someone wimpy and inexperienced - though his unconscious gait, breathing, and general air of calm in the face of pain and danger render that act both moot and highly suspicious. Changes in attitude aside, Sasaki is a still a straightforward young man with a dog-like sense of duty and overprotection towards his friends. He's a reasonable guy, even if his imposing appearance doesn't belay such a vibe. He's willing to listen and do his best to respond to people he's conversing with even if he has no interest in the subject at hand, and is willing to provide what help he can to those polite enough to ask, probably out of some sort of penitent obligation.

Skills:
- Combat
- Martial Arts: Sasaki does not possess knowledge of any particular martial arts style other than a small bit of kenjutsu. His hand to hand combat is conducted in an entirely instinctual manner, built upon by his accumulated experience against varieties of opponents. However he's very hesitant to go on the offensive - even though he's far better at it - restricting himself to simply stone-walling, with the occasional grapple or pulled-punch-counterattack to dissuade enemies from continuing.
Sasaki is even more reluctant to put in to use his skills developed by striking people down with a weapon, considering his efficacy in doing so far outstrips his unarmed combat capabilities. He knows a degree of proper kendo/kenjutsu technique as a result of a brief stint with kendo in middle school, but mostly uses intuition to fight, as with his hand to hand method. As a digression, swinging around with a baseball bat in battle has translated very well to kendo.
- Utility
- Baseball: Needless to say, Sasaki is an incredibly skilled baseball player. Especially when he goes up to bat. Unfortunately he hasn't had the chance to apply such skills in a long time.
- Housework: Literally Ryouran Maid School-tier.
- Premonition Perception: Perception and instinct, molded by experience in such a way as to resolve situations using a sort of 'danger sense'. A skill based around knowing and noticing the minute details and involuntary movements leading to action, and reacting in such a way as to avoid it as much as humanly possible. With this talent, Sasaki is able to overcome sensory impairments and predict the trajectory of ranged attacks upon visual confirmation of the enemy, allowing him to avoid them unless they maintain some kind of explosive AOE capability. Also useful for direct observation purposes, such as noticing things others would overlook, establishing an escape route, quickly surveying a room for details, and other such actions.
- Scientific/Mechanical Knowledge: Sasaki's scientific knowledge base is specialized towards the fields having to do with military technology and the Power Curriculum Program. Furthermore, Sasaki possesses competency in the art of operating and identifying - as well as modifying, fixing, and sabotaging - a good deal of technology designed for combative purposes, but anything other than identification only applies to those on the 'individual scale' (firearms, powered suits, etc) not the 'large scale' (jets, helicopters, mechas, etc). May require tools, parts, and/or time depending on competency employed.
- Innate Traits
- "The Strongest Man in Academy City": Born possessing abnormal strength, Sasaki is simply the single strongest individual in Academy City, based solely off of pure, unmodified statistics. Furthermore, as he possesses completely-human-yet-inhuman muscle strength as opposed to a supernaturally imbued counterpart, Sasaki's bone and muscle density are also incredibly far above the norm, and he requires a lot more food to sustain himself than most individuals. Even so, at least he isn't as much of a big eater as some people. Application of this skill is extremely limited outside of heavy lifting due to principle, much to the chagrin of anyone looking for a fight with him.

- Though his moniker is well-known, his face is fortunately not ("a tall, dark haired Asian with glasses" in Japan is very specific indeed...)
