The City Of Schools
On Midway island Japan and United States began a project, to create a city intent for the brightest minds in the world, a modern city full of advanced technology. This came to pass and was crowned Academy city, a city built where only students and teachers lived, safe from war and strife. The students that attend the schools here normally want to specialize in a certain discipline from maids to mages. The was originally intended to be a prison Espers and Mages yet after consideration they decided it would be better as a school to teach and encourage there gifts. Thus the island was made a city of schools.
The Three Divisions
Making up the cities gifted populace are three kinds of people, Knights, Mages, and Espers. Knights are humans who train and become exceptional warriors relying on weapons and technology rather than natural gifts, they also the most common in the Enforcers, the all school security force that protects the students and deals with crime. Espers are those with psychic powers, born with a unique ability bestowed to them they focus and use it, Espers lack the variation of mages yet make up for it in strength. Espers also need there bodies to have energy to use there power. Mages however can cast spells learned from books or by etching runes on to a surface, magic is varied and utilitarian, some mages prefer to master one discipline while others enjoy being unpredictable and well rounded. A mages weakness lies in the need for a mana source, that can be the mage themselves or the air around them however, fights between mages drain mana from an area or themselves and it takes days to return. Mages often try to fight in mana rich area's or failing rest well and eat good before hand to ensure a strong mana reserve.
The Phase
The Phase is a plane parallel to our world, its where fights between students are carried out to avoid damage to the city or other students. the builds are immune to damage there yet you can touch them, you can even see in to the real world as if they are all ghosts. Yet you cannot touch any living object in the really world in the Phase, only buildings and inanimate objects. Which cannot be damaged in the Phase, likewise in our world we those in the fade as shimmering ghost like forms. Students who fall into the participating categories are issued a Phase-Watch that allows them to move between planes and battle others. These fights are normally done to settle disputes and Enforcers will show up to watch them and ensure both fighters live. Some fights are done in a official capacity to determine who is stronger, those fights often have special rewards or prizes for the winner.
The Plot And Summary
You are all new students attending Academy city, whether your gifted or just students trying get a good education your welcome here. Basically the plot will start at beginning of the school year and coming festival, this festival will have live combat games for all students and fights between gifted students, of course I'm leaving room to grow here as some people my want to play villain characters intent on beating everyone for personal gain or something along those lines.
RULES
1. Please follow the normal roleplay rules and avoid all powerful characters.
2. Don't be rude or mean to player in the OOC or I ask the offender to leave.
3. Remember we are all here to have fun so please don't parade around auto-hitting or insta-killing other characters. Collab posts are encouraged for fight scenes to help speed them up.
4. Write something about a red bow in to your character sheet to prove you read this, if I do not see it I will not accept.
5. All character sheets will be posted in the character tab once complete and approved.
6. As GM I will do my best to deal with any problems that arise, always feel free to contact me for help.
