"OOH! Can you turn into a bat?" Cecelia quickly responded with hopeful eyes and an open-mouthed smile. Her mind snapped back to her current setting. Class. She lowered he voice and asked "Vam-pir-ism? Like a vampire? That's so cool!" She resumed her enthralled, wide-eyed smile at Daw. Without thinking about it, all the thoughts about turning into a bat manifested in Fluffy, turning him into a stuffed bat. Cecelia blushed a little and giggled at her accidental changing of Fluffy and commented "at least it wasn't a real bat."

Smiling at the two’s behaviour, James quickly took notes on the lesson from what he heard in his half-paying attention. After scribbling down a page in no time at all he looked at the clock. Only a few more minutes left of class, then Maths. Dad’s class. James bit his lip, knowing his Dad would probably not be as lenient as this absentminded English teacher still rambling on about paragraph structure with no students listening.

"Sort of. I can gain vampire abilities. Slowed aging if I want. Stuff like that. But I risk loosing my mind and I get a thirst for blood if I go all vampire. What about you, Jason," Daw directed the question at Jason, starting to wonder about math.

I guess you could say they found my kryptonite. I'm not good at math. And they just found out. So now instead of stupidly easy books their giving me sixth grade math lesson, because I can still do easy math with ease.

"I have the power to cook 2 minute noodles in 1 minute and 59 seconds," James said in a mockingly dark voice, sending feelings of amazement to Jackdaw and Cecelia to further the joke, laughing all the while.

After realizing the amazement she originally felt was artificial, Cecelia had to cover her entire face to not burst out laughing, using Fluffy as a muffler to her fit of giggles. "So," once she had somewhat regained her composure, "what class is next? I didn't take a long look at the schedule. I figured since there's only a class-full of us, there's not too many classes going on at once. Are- uh- either of you busy after school and might wanna hang out?" Her blunt question made her cheeks bloom red again. She knew she wouldn't be busy after school, unless she wanted to help her mom clean and/or cook. Her mom understood when she went out to hang out with friends and even seemed excited for her. My mommy's so supportive. I'm lucky, cause if she wasn't, I wouldn't even get a choice about chores.

"Next is Maths, my Dad's class, but after break we've got physical education where we're supposed to be learning martial arts," Jason said with a sigh at the beginning, both because Maths was a total bore and because his Dad was a total bore. "I'd be available between 3:30 and 5:30 or 7:00 to late, but between then I'll be doing dinner stuff." Jason added, still chuckling a bit at his earlier antics. Hopefully mum will be alright by herself Jason thought, but figuring it was past time he let her be a bit more independent.

"Ooh. Math" Cecelia said with a smile, "I like Maths. It's easier than English for sure. We could probably just hang around after school. Either here or go to one of our houses," referring to the house of any of the three of them. She then says "man, I can't remember the last time I hung out with friends" a little louder than she meant to, but didn't know if anyone heard her.

Daw laughed at Jason's so called 'ability'. He had a good sense of humor, and that was great.
"Math isn't my forte. But I guess I'll have to push past that," she told them thinking about Cecelia's offer.
"We could probably go to my house. It's within walking distance," Daw offered.

Aqua smiles and nods, leaning back in her chair. She looks over at him and smiles widely. "I can't wait." She faces forward and pulls out some more water, making it spin around her fingertips. She glances over at him again and flushes furiously. He is very cute and she can't help but look at him. She pulls out her notebook and begins to draw random pictures after putting the water back in her horn. She draws random sketches at first before she realizes that she is drawing Chuck. She slams the journal shut, embarrassed, and faces forward.

The bell rang for their next class, and Chuck put down his pencil. The class was boring, but easy, and he was glad there wasn't a great deal of homework this time. He placed his books and pencils into a schoolbag, then stood up with the others. The next class was right around the corner, and the flow of traffic was vary simple, seeing as there was only one group. The pushing students separated him from Aqua, and he bumped into a younger, brown-haired boy. @Weird Tales "Sorry," Chuck apologized. "It's a little difficult to maneuver in this crowd."

When the bell rang, Aiden put all his stuff in his bag and got up, and followed the crowd towards their next class. He hadn't memorized their schedule yet, but he thought he heard talk of it being Math next, he didn't really know. For now, he took out his book again and began reading where he had left off.

While walking to Math, Cecelia smiles at Daw "really? You live that close? I have to take the bus. But that sounds awesome if you wanna hang out!" Her smile turning into a goofy grin as she talks. "As far as Math goes, I just like it 'cause I know if I did wrong. It's a matter of right answer or not. Not like English, where you write sentences and the teacher grades based on" continuing on in a mocking pmpus-richy-snooty voice "whether or not it came close to the criteria set on grammar, staying on topic, and blah blah blah." Cecelia's mind wandered too much to write a paper on one subject and stay on that one subject the entire paper.

"I don't like math just cause it's hard and I'm not very good at it. They've been tutoring me on it, catching me up so that I could go to school. I'm great with english though," Daw responded, happy that she had someone to talk to that actually cared about her and treated her like a friend.

Cecelia's smile lit up, "ooh, then maybe we can help each other out! I can help you with Math and you help me with English?" Mommy's gonna be so happy to hear about my new friends! Cecelia remembers how her mom was always so happy when she made friends at school. Most of her friends that she would talk from early years to almost high school were imaginary, so her mom was always glad to meet real friends.

"That sound wonderful," Daw told Cecelia. She would finally have a friend. They would be so proud. Her parents probably wouldn't stop talking about how proud they were of their darling little daughter.

"Sweet!" Cecelia smiles as she continues walking next to Daw. "So, what kind of movies do you like? I like a lot of them, but I can't really watch horror movies cause I get scared easily, at least when things pop up out of nowhere being loud." Cecelia twirled her bunny-ear on her hood as she though of how she nearly wet herself last time she was scared by a movie.

World

Math class has started, and unless someone cuts, everyone should be in class. The teacher walks in, introducing himself as Mr. Steel, but making a point to not connect himself to Jason Steel in the classroom. He starts calling attendance as everyone gets settled.
