I looked up what E-peen meant and i didnt want to click on any of the stuff that popped up. :1

Basically just making comparisons and arguing over who's better in a context that doesn't really make sense and is too free form for someone to gain anything from. You get it -a lot- in nation RP's.

You know.

The In Character lounge, where all of the RP characters meet and greet and converse.

It could just be the IC of this thread.

Y'all know that, right?

My top moments include:

Starting WotW.

And watching that god damn masterful fight between Lyzan and someone I forgot. Honestly, that was probably the best fight I'd seen on Guild, and to me, really cemented Lyzan as a top guy.

I fought surprisingly little for a guy with my 'reputation'

You haven't fought nearly enough if one of your best moments isn't even your moment ^_^

Riding for free on your damn reputation! Pretty sure we've only fought once and it didn't even finish.

I have fought by far much more than Rilla has, across a number of sites and yet I pale in comparison to him in terms of reputation. LOL I think Rilla is Liaison IRL.

My best moment is thinking up an alternate version of Abraham Lincoln named Aperaham Lincoln, a cyborg ape version of him with rocket launcher arms. Too bad a couple people already came up with that pun, according to google search, but not many and no official character named Aperaham Lincoln, certainly no cyborg ones so I should be in the clear. XD

Roleplays and fantasy stories make weird questions spring to mind. For example, I can't help but wonder how many unarmed girls would it take to reliably defeat an angry honey badger. And yes, this could be important for a fight between some of my characters and I want to know if they would win. The honey badger can disregard superpowered attacks so all combatants are considered realistically powered. I'm pretty sure honey badgers can kill people so it's pretty dangerous to try and fight one.

As we edge ever closer to the four way.

Let's talk T1, and specifically, magic prep.

I never understood prepping. Either you have your character's abilities to require prepping as a means of bogging down their power level, or you simply don't prep and attack right off the bat.

Example: a character capable of launching a gigantic icebergs at his foe faces off a pyromancer powerful enough to only launch a tiny fireballs. What can you do to even them out? Have the ice mage prep for his iceberg attack.

As i see it, prepping is something applicable only to those abilities, which are meant to be prepped.

I did that with Kei'taro once.

Didn't work out so well.

For them.

As me and @Melonhead discussed prior to the end of LeeRoy vs Rilla, we have two different schools of thought on it, really. So we were hoping to get more opinions; @Skallagrim has been using T1 longer than any of us, except maybe DJ, so he may have the 'correct' answer.

My opinion on it is that magic, wholesale, needs to be charged. Some abilities(Passive) fly under the radar. Melon's is that people whose primary means of attack is magic, shouldn't have too.

I've been using my method in virtually all my T1 fights, and have encountered no problems with it at all. On the other hand, prior to, and continuing with, my introduction to T1, non T1 fights have often delved into a magic slinging contest. Especially prior when anyone could just shoot magic out without a second thought.

I'm thinking we can either create our own version of it, and how it applies to magic, or find out the actual prepping stuff.

I would argue that a magic slinging contest is no different, and arguably far more survivable, than just firing guns at each other.

The issue I have with T1 and magic is that T1 is far more useful for understanding lower tier combat. It gives no reference or examples for anything other than a spellsword attacking someone while simultaneously charging an ability. However, that in itself is to my interpretation evidence that if one was -not- swinging that sword, there's no reason why they couldn't just be firing a fireball instead.

Honestly, my plan is to never host a tournament ever, because it's up to a tournament host to somehow roughly balance up to 10-20 people's characters for a good competition. Fuck that.
