Sigh, read the posts please. tl;dr : Tecumseh, Alessandra, Sofia and Zaynab are in/will soon be in NC. with two others having been invited OOC, which bring the potential total of elemental in NC up to six, if I'm doing my math right.

I'm not sure if I appreciate how much metagaming you're encouraging. It's not very conducive to RPing if everyone just HAPPENS to show up to one place, instead of coming to their own conclusions and coming together naturally.

Well for the record this game doesn't need a second GM, so stop telling us how to write our own characters and their stories.

It's not like my resort is a private club, it's meant to draw attention, especially from people who aren't native residents, that's how Resorts make money, if my ability to use actual marketing strategies to plug drifting writers into the SL bothers you I'm sorry, but until the GM says to change something, this is how I get people involved in the story. Sure it's pulling more charactes than I anticipated at first blush, but that's better than leaving people to try write by themselves and end up getting lost between the other groups SL's and loosing interest in the story and leaving, IMO.

tl;dr I'm not encouraging meta-gaming, I'm making writers aware of some of the opportunities available to their characters, that are common knowledge, and so probably known by the characters or easily found with a little searching.

You are literally submitting invitations to people in the OOC for people to come to your resort. If that's not encouraging metagaming, I'm pretty confused.

Thus far, I haven't seen much reason for anyone who isn't a member of the dig to come to your resort, considering how it's only a vacation spot in North Carolina. The fact that your character somehow knows of the existence of Fargus as an Elemental despite him not even manifesting his powers until now is just icing on the cake.

I'm not asking you to stop, I just think it's a too-cheap way to get the story moving in the direction you want it to go.

How is it any different than discussing and determining plotlines in the OOC, @Earnest Evans? Surely that too would be considered metagaming, because then the RPers know more than their characters and can manipulate their characters to achieve that end result.
