How is it any different than discussing and determining plotlines in the OOC, @Earnest Evans? Surely that too would be considered metagaming, because then the RPers know more than their characters and can manipulate their characters to achieve that end result.

Discussing plotlines OOC is not metagaming. Taking actions IC to follow what has been discussed OOC is metagaming.

@Earnest Evans And yet RPs such as this would never get anywhere if all of us are on different continents and we don't have some intervention to bring us together. People can only post to themselves so often before the fun of it wears off.
And perhaps @Tracyarmavs invitations can be seen as non-meta if, say, they render themselves IC as billboards or whatever? or even telemarketer solicitations, to get to people further away?
