Appearance: Alessa is a woman of about average height, with white blonde hair and very pale white skin, in addition to gray colored eyes. She's very sleek looking, very little curves and lean musculature as well. Others appear to find her slightly above average in terms of her attractiveness, but nothing too special.
Powers: Alessa's most noticable ability is her power to absorb, and then amplify electrical currents. By making contact with an source of current, Alessa can take in and boost the power of the electricity up to a perfect 100x. She also possesses a great heat conductivity as well, and can resist many hot enviroments, taking advantage of them to redirect the heat back as a weapon. Alessa is also very flexible, and able to bend and stretch herself with ease.

Backstory: Alessa was born in the United States, within the city of New York. Alessa is a 2nd generation french immigrant, still adjusting to her new life. Having developed her powers at the age of 11, Alessa was forced to hide her new found abilities to try and live the most normal life she could. She tried her best to avoid anything electronic, as they had a habit of breaking or shorting out around her; but that is easier said than done. Books became her best friends, and it became a running joke amongst others that it would be impossible to see Alessandra without her face buried in a book. In college, Alessandra studies ancient history and archeology, hoping that digging up the bronze age will keep her as far away from the source of her problems. Still, it crosses her mind once in a while about using her powers like the other elementals she hears about so often.

Backstory: Ra was born into a bad family. She was the youngest child, with an older brother. Her brother was years older than her and was almost always at a friend's house. However it was too late that Ra learned why. Her parents weren't the nice people that Ra had thought them to be. Her mother was hooked on drugs and drank a lot. Her father was abusive. Abusing both Ra and her mother. Ra's brother had been taken in by their aunt when Ra was five. But, by that time it was too late for Ra to escape. She learned to steady herself, to be strong. At school she was silent and never told of her family. So Ra and her brother led two completely separate lives. But when Ra turned ten she accidentally caused the deaths of her parents. It had been then that Ra had awakened her parents and accidentally caused both of the mto die of fright.

Powers: Jan is able to freeze an object or person just by bare touch or by breathing on them with his super cooled breath. His has an extremely low body temperature which allows him to be nearly undetectable to infrared detectors and is subject to slow aging as a side effect of Nitrogen preservative factor which also allows him to be protected from most strong acids. Jan also has the ability to exhale pure nitrogen as anyone else would exhale carbon dioxide which is the reason for his specially crafted gas mask which filters the nitrogen allowing him to enter buildings without making people blackout.

Backstory: Jan was born in Belgium into a middle-class family and for the early years of his life had a normal childhood. When he entered his teen years and discovered his powers, he had no problem using them to get into trouble which the locals in his town. He was known for breaking into peoples houses and stealing valuables to sell for some quick cash. At the age of 17 he ran away from his house as the next day he was going to be locked up as people were soon starting to fear his powers in the town he grew up in. Jan has been traveling the world ever since causing trouble where ever he went as he slowly build up his reputation as an international criminal.

Name:Tecumseh Kawacatoose

Appearance: A short, stout man with rounded shoulders and a shining, bald head, middle-aged and usually dressed for a day spent outdoors(button up cotton shirts and cargo pants usually in the summer his sleeves are rolled up just past the elbow). 1.6 meters tall and not quite over weight. Deep red-brown skin that is smooth and surprisingly tough. Often slips from memory, or at least into obscure memory shortly after leaving direct observation, he has worked to develop an "average" aura.

Powers: reflects heat and isn't burned by anything under 2300 K(~2050 *C), is immune electric shock(non-conductive), and can shift into a pile, or low, drifting cloud of brown dust. He also wasn't as affected by the gas during basic training as the other recruits, though his sergeant said there was usually one kid who wasn't bothered by the stuff.

Weapons: A Nosler M48 TGR, a boron carbide tomahawk with a polished cherry wood handle, and a K-bar usually worn on his belt. (only the K-bar is usually carried, the rest he keeps in his car trunk or in a locker at home.

Backstory: A Native American born on a reservation in North Carolina, his powers didn't manifest until his late teens. Tecum, as most called him, hid his powers as best he could, knowing the power of fear first hand already. He hated school and joined the military to avoid college, where he became a paratrooper. He worked with the airborne artillery in the 82nd for ten years before being honorably discharged. Now he runs a small tour service in the NC mountain;, where he meets many people and learns more from listening to their talk than they think. He's working on locating other "elementals" mostly out curiosity and knowing that they will be considered outcasts, and freaks, just as his people are in America.
He has inherited a large portion of a largely unpopulated mountain in NC and is buying up the rest as he can. He has built a modest but sturdy house there, and is considering building a dormitory style shelter for any elementals that he may find. He is very secretive, while being an outgoing and engaging person. He does this by saying a lot without ever actually saying anything of value. He's never broken any laws, but he's not very fond of the US government or Europeans in general, because of his people's history with both groups. He can live off the land if he needs to, but enjoys the modern accommodations in his home and car.
He currently lives alone, though he had hopes of marrying one day, those dreams seem out of reach now. In private, his few good friends now him to be kind and protective as well as tenacious and vicious in his defense of family or retaliation on their behalf. His parents are dead, having died early due drug and alcohol addictions. He has no siblings, but considers his squad to be family and keeps up with each member. He is often called "Uncle Tecum" by the children of his squad mates, a name he encourages and lives up to with pride.

Name: Mahmoud Nobakht

Appearance: Mahmoud is a short yet very slender man with Black hair and green eyes. His dark brown skin is rough and dry with years of a tough lifestyle. However, Mahmoud is always dressed in fine vestments, eagerly flaunting his wealth and power.
Powers: Mahmoud is able to generate extrememly hot fires though rough friction with his skin. These flames can easily burn though flesh and bone, and incinerate most walls and barriers that get in the way. These flames are expetionally bright as well, and the fumes produced can lead to poisoning and flesh necrosis when exposed for extended time.
Weapons: Mahmoud has no need for weapons, but he does keep a rough file to help get the friction to start fires.
Backstory: Mahmoud Nobakht was born a lowely peasant in a povery stricken village in Afghanistan. Around the time he was 7, his father got an oppourtunity to emmigrate to nearby Iran, and so they did. During his time as a child, Mahmoud was known as a violent, agressive child. No matter how much he was scoulded or punished, Mahmoud made no progress. The people of his town often called him a devil child. When the teenage years came around, Mahmoud was shipped off, far from Iran to live with relatives in Russia. It was for the better, lest he be killed for his behavior at home. In his early adulthood, Mahmoud was little more than a common thug, working as a simple grunt in a semithreatening gang in the city of Moscow. It seemed that Mahmoud would be little more than a street thug for the rest of his life; his family giving up on him as soon as 18 rolled around, but then something happened. In an argument with a higher up gang member, Mahmoud took a swing at his adversary, his fist catching onto the worn, scratchy jacket and bursting into flames. As the man burned to Ash and bone, Mahmoud took this oppourtunity to assert his position of authority over the group. Now in control, with the power of Fire under his control, Mahmoud was able to crush all opposition before him, and establish a fortune and an empire of crime. Still, he realizes that there must be more like him, and so, Mahmoud uses his influence and power to seek out other elementals to join him.

Backstory: Having managed to be be born before his parents took a turn for the worse, Fa's early years were relatively normal. His younger sister was born when he was six. After Ra's birth Fa started to spend more time away from home. He had noticed that his parents were becoming stranger. When he was eleven his aunt took him in so that he wouldn't suffer because of his parents. He was sad that he would have to leave his sister behind, but he was glad he could escape, not knowing the life that Ra went through as a result of his absence.

Appearance: Hannelore is a tall Caucasian woman, tall and perhaps a little thicker in the middle than might be fashionable. She wears the latest business fashions. Her blonde hair is beginning to fade, but her blue eyes maintain their sparkle.

Powers: Hannelore Buchholz can, at will, turn her body into pure titanium. In this form, she has massive immunity from harm and possesses immense phyiscal strength, able to press up to 25 metric tonnes. However, she also had no feeling in this form, nor is she able to speak.

Weapons: Improvised from the environment.

Backstory: Hannelore Buchholz. College graduate, single, no children. Career woman. Broker at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Her ten-year plan has never included superpowers, though. That's a recent development, and as yet Hannelore is unsure what to make of it. Her life has been largely unremarkable up until now, it's time to decide whether or not it stays that way.

Appearance: Stands at about 5'1, not very curvy but has a pretty athletic build and well-defined muscles. Unusual vivid green eyes and short black hair with dark skin. Big lips, usually wears bright red lipstick. She wears green most of the time.

Powers: She instantly kills any bacteria or other pathogens on any surface she touches with her fingertips, so she's good as a medic.
Also can exhale toxins at will that cause immediate blistering and irritation, in the lungs, as well as horrible agony, and death if exposure lasts long enough.
I did a little reading for this and I read that something called a "chlorine iron fire" exists, which I didn't know about. Maybe if someone makes a character for iron, they can kick ass together?

Backstory: Chloe's life before her powers developed was pretty normal and boring, although she has a history of being kind of germophobic and has always been an excellent swimmer. Her toxic breath had to be mastered over time: she first realized she had powers at all (since it's a little hard to realize you've just killed every microorganism on whatever you've touched) when she was walking home stupidly in the dark one day after a party and a young man who was following her startled her from behind, activating her toxic breath. He ended up dying. She struggles with a lot of guilt about this.

Name: Sofia Nessman

Gender: Girl
Powers: Sofia has the ability to heat up to temperatures hot enough to produce a flame if she is in contact with water. She is also very good with plants, because she can transfer potassium from herself which is a good fertilizer for soil - not that it has many practical uses other than with gardening, but this transfer does drain her levels and makes her power weaker for a time. In combat, she has the ability to release potassium dust, which is very harmful if breathed in too much. However, she can only do this in short spurts, not for a prolonged period of time. She can also make a transfer of the potassium from herself into another person, which at high levels is deadly. She must be touching the person and have enough potassium in her system to do so.
Weapons: Sofia would never normally carry any sort of weapon, but would perhaps carry a switchblade if she felt she might need it to protect herself.
Backstory: Sofia has had powers ever since she can remember. She always used to get in trouble for burning things when she was younger, because she would take a bath then burn her pj's, or a book, or schoolwork. No one ever believed her when she said she didn't do any of it on purpose, her parents thought she stole lighters, but even when they teared her room apart they never found anything. This began an unsteady relationship with her parents, and Sofia had to learn to control her powers. Now she can control how hot she gets, how much fire is produced and where from. She even lights her cigarettes with her own finger.

Powers:
Herme is extremely agile, enough so that many would consider her bones to be liquid. Bending to impossible angles, moving as though her entire body were a liquid. Within her blood there is a certain degree of mercury, and upon contact a person risks blood poisoning, and following blood poisoning one can be driven mad. Her body also has a natural reaction to heat, and when exposed to heat above 30C(86F) she releases mercury vapor, and when inhaled can cause both madness and poisoning. She can naturally dissolve most metals, excluding that of iron. She herself is weak to cool temperatures, and will become slow and stiff when cooled.

Weapons: Herme uses her legs as weapons kicking swiftly with bare feet. She'll scrape her feet along the ground, forcing her self to bleed to fully utilize her ability.

Backstory:
Herme was born into a rich family, a family which had thrived in business throughout the years. She was even named after the god of merchants, Hermes. However, she had come to believe that she hadn't taken on that aspect of Hermes at all. Instead, she looked at her name a little differently than Hermes, god of merchants. No, she took a different role which Hermes possessed. She was Herme, the guide to the underworld. She slaughtered her mother, father, siblings, lover, friends, coworkers, acquaintances. She slaughtered all whom she deemed unworthy of living on earth, and mind you she had some very high standards.

However, this all ended when she was caught, and held in a padded, isolated room with a door made of a special material, tungsten carbide. In this room she was given days after days after days after days to judge her actions, and no matter how hard she tried she was unable to crack her own head open on a padded wall. As her abilities manifested she was able free herself from her straight jacket, dissolve the frame of the door which had not been padded, and make her escape. However, this time she did not seek to kill. She would find a way to repent for her actions, despite of her growing awareness that madness was consuming her very being.

Appearance:
In his civilian identity, John is a somewhat short, hairy man with a mild beer belly and dark blue skin, a quirk that, he explains, comes from argyria he developed while working in a silver mine in his youth.
As Junkyard, he is a towering, idealized figure covered head-to-toe in armor made from miscellaneous metallic scrap.

Powers: As the cobalt elemental, Junkyard has the abilities of being made entirely out of cobalt as well as total control over the cobalt that makes up his body. As such, he is able to align his structure into a powerful ferromagnet and manipulate his own magnetic field along with the magnetic fields of ferrous material his own field comes in contact with.

Weapons: His hammers of justice!

Backstory:
John Jeffrey was a man of great heart and little talent working the graveyard shift at an industrial foundry, until one day, a freak industrial accident and poor compliance with OSHA regulations sent him tumbling into an open smelter! Amazingly, though, John didn't die- quite the opposite, in fact! Somehow, his body was transmuted into pure cobalt, granting him superhuman powers! Now thought dead, he skipped town to start a new life.
Now, during the day he lives his life as John Jeffrey, local junk dealer and eccentric. By night, he suits up in magnetized scrap and fights crime as the polar proponent of the people, Junkyard!

Appearance: With ashy-red hair, freckles, and an uncomfortable-looking scar across the sternum, Fargus is the very model of a modern Scot. Fargus tends to wear casual and breezy clothes, often wearing an unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt and jeans at all times. Fargus' face is described as 'craggy' at best, and bears numerous scars and calluses from his many life-threatening experiences. Fargus has an unpleasant tendency to suck on his teeth and crack his knuckles when irritated or bored.

Powers: Fargus is capable of blocking radiation, due to Strontium's naturally absorbent properties. In addition, Fargus can psychically promote bone growth, making healing significantly easier. Finally, Fargus can increase the intensity and magnitude of any combustion by generating Strontium within the explosion's igniting heart.

Weapons: One Springfield "Operator" .45 ACP handgun, purchased from a collector while staying in America. Acquiring ammunition for it is relatively difficult, but Fargus makes do through his shadier contacts. Fargus is a dab hand with his pocket multitool, but prefers to use any other weapons available.

Backstory: Born in Glasgow, Fargus Oberschmidt didn't have a very well-adjusted childhood. With a deadbeat dad and a drunkard of a mother, Fargus grew to rely on himself and himself alone. After just barely graduating from secondary school, Fargus promptly went into drugrunning and petty gangbanging for one of Glasgow's myriad criminal enterprises: The Smilies. In time, he grew to become the leader of the Smilies. Through ruthless practices and an innate sense for good business, Fargus and his boys beat out the competition, carving out a solid chunk out of the city for the Smilies. One ill-fated attempt at a major deal and a police-issue massacre later, Fargus was forced to flee to the states with only a handful of his mates. With little else other than the clothes on their backs and the chips on their shoulders, The Smilies are bound to rise again.

Xenia has the ability to transform himself, and any object held into a colorless, odorless gas, essentially rendering himself invisible. Clear, odorless gas also emanates from his body which has the ability to numb the senses, easing the person who is affected's pain.

Backstory:
Xenia lost both his parents at a young age due to a flood which had swept down his entire town. Ever since he was raised by a man named William Ramsey, wherein the both of them wandered the globe, giving aid to those who were affected by floods and tsunamis. However, William had no way of earning any money from their actions, and thus passed away when Xenia was only 16. From that point onward Xenia rented a home from his aunt, and to earn money worked at the local counseling office where he had been accepted due to his history. When his abilities developed they did little to nothing to change his life except allow him to calm down those that he spoke with. Now, at the age of 23 he has decided to venture out, aiming to discover more about the people who share this "trait" of his, and to aid anybody he can along the way.
