I like the character and back story, I don't understand why your character is carrying so many guns however. The inventory is what you would carry day to day and I think they would look odd carrying a shotgun around all the time. For a policeoffer I would say you could carry a revolver and 12 rounds of ammunition.

@solamelike Oh, well good point, I thought the stuff she would be carrying was the stuff she brung on her trip into the house, due to her fathers might be insanity she remembered her fathers teachings and decided to bring the shotgun with her

but if you don't like it, I can change it if you want

updates!: Sofie now has these with her, 1 police revolver 12 rounds. 1 police horse. 1 police badge. 2 handcuffs,

also I cannibalised my characters auto car skills down to 10 and Uped the ride (which I assume is for horses) up to 70 and uped machinegun up by 5

Sorry I haven't been home for the last week so I haven't had the CoC rulebook. I will get a starting post up tomorrow at some time. All C.S are accepted accept @nerminater for the following reasons.

Default stats can not be 'cannibalised' to add more points into other skills. For instance your Climb is 30 when the base is 40.

In your gun case you say you have a 'machine gun' Im not sure on what you mean by this. If you are being literal, a machine gun in the 1920's would be something like below.


For stats and ease of use, I would like it if you changed the name of the guns in the cabinet and on your person to these specific models. That way we know how many rounds they hold and how powerful they are.

Instead of '2 pistols 30 rounds each' can you replace with 'A .32 revolver and a .32 automatic with 60 rounds of .32' ( If you meant for this to be two semi automatic handguns just put that you have 2 .38 automatics with 60 rounds of .32 )

Instead of ' 1 shot gun 15 rounds ' replace with '12 Gauge double barrel shotgun with 15 12 gauge shells'

And finally instead of '2 SMG's 60 rounds each' replace with '2 Thompson submachine guns with 100 rounds of .45 ammunition'

For the police revolver, replace with a '.38 revolver with 12 rounds of .38 ammunition.'

Hope this isn't to much, Call of Cthulhu can be complicated sometimes, especially in a forum based game.

Time to explain what the hell is going on XD

This is a little starter that I use in my games to introduce a few things to the players.
Im also using it so when the main investigation starts, hopefully everyone has finished Character sheets.

Now @RBYDark and @Tancuras your characters are the same as they are on the character sheets, the characters cant remember how they have gotten into the situation they are in, but they do know they are British infantry in WW1 and that they are their to fight against the Germans. A woman being in the infantry oddly doesn't confuse you, as if it is normal. And your characters more than likely wont even question why they are there. You know each other as part of the same squad.

I have done this game 6 times, you are the first person to check they have ammunition. Normally they find out too late ;P

Just a personal preference, for anything OOC and rolls, could you put them in hiders. Makes it look nice and tidy that way.

Also, loving the accent XD

@solamelike Okey changed the guns and removed a bit of machine gun points and submachine gun points and used them all to up my Shotgun points to 70, thanks for the help

You need to redo you points as you cant add points by taking away from the base stats.
Everything should be good after that.
