Never got told by the way, the shield I threw on my arm add any defense?

Edit: Also since retaliate is similar to defend does that add any damage reduction?

Oh... sorry about that, yes, your shield defends against 1d6 damage, and retaliate... I think I'll have that depend on your level.

Note: Level-based powers: Some powers will be based on a character's level category, which will be, as follows…
Level:
1-4 = 1d6
5-10 = 2d5
11-15 = 3d5
and 16-20 = 4d5.

dodge roll of 10 + 3(LUCKmod) = 13

Wolf Hits!
13 damage - 16(10 defense, Shield 2, retaliate, 4) = 0 damage

Counter attack roll 15 + 4(AGImod) = 19
Wolf Dodge roll 18 + 12 = 30

Actually, we forgot to make Backstabs attack... whoops. Also, Kabling actually spent his first turn just getting to the group... so... if @Evanist would be so kind as to have Backstabs try to attack one of the two wolves, as well as add his own attack, that would be nice.

That is a miss.

My first roll: 1!

Wolf roll: 16

I miss and hit a rock instead.... dang

Second hit:

My roll: 8

Wolf: 2

With calculations with my agi and his luck

Me: 16

Wolf: 14

I hit

My roll for damage on a d6: 3

So...
3 + 7 - 6 = 4 damage done.

So 29 - 4 = 25 hp left on wolf 1.

Dang these guys are hard.

Well, it's just a minefield of critical hits, isn't it?
I try to attack the wolf with my rapier.
My hit roll: 20!
Wolf B's dodge roll: N/A
Wolf B takes 12 (weapon damage *2) + 8 (stat mods) = 20 damage!
Wolf B is now dead.

Wolf A tries to attack Backstabs.
Wolf A's hit roll: 20!?
Backstabs' dodge roll: N/A
Backstabs takes 6 (weapon damage *2) + 12 = 18 damage...
Special saving roll: Has to get 6 or higher on a 1d8: 4
Stealing roll: (1d8, must be 6 or higher): 6
Backstabs somehow steals a wolf's fang during this...?

Wolf A is at 25/50 HP, and Wolf B is at 0/50 HP...
Backstabs is now at -7 HP...

Just a note, @Ridlins, you can actually stabilize someone without any healing magic... why? Well, healers won't always have magic, and I prefer to keep folks alive, lol.

Uh... in order to bandage up Backstabs, you'd need to do a DEX check, or an INT check that is as follows...
DEX + d20 >= 19
INT + d20 >= 14

Kabling... you did it wrong... Defense is from the STAmod, not the ENDmod... END is generally just used to measure HP, and the wolf has 6 defense, not 4. That being said, you dealt 11 original damage, not 10, so, the wolf should have taken 5 damage.
