Most goblins are considered weak throw-away fodder. Grinded out to near extinction for EXP and then left to repopulate so that more amateur adventurers can repeat the accursed cycle generations later. However, in the distant village of the Vegatini tribe, there is a legend of a magically gifted goblin who would bring ruin to humanity and glory to the goblin race. One who is wise and benevolent, yet chaotic and bloodthirsty. The destined hero-king of all goblins, branded by a large circular birthmark on the forehead. By now you've probably clued in...
That it is in fact, not Rudavegas who took up this role. In a family with 9 siblings, him being the 10th, he was the youngest runt of the litter. When he heard that his mother was having an 11th child, he jumped at the idea of finally being an older brother and not the youngest.
Months passed, and when the baby was finally born, those gathered to see the baby went silent: for the baby that was born was branded with a circular birthmark on the forehead.
The village partied for days and nights, hailing the child as a savior. There was one disappointed, however. Rudavegas was not taking the news as well. Sure it was good for the village, but by virtue of just being born the way he was, this baby child was already much more important than he was.
Years passed. The village's population was on the decline due to humans becoming increasingly brave. Some of the older siblings had already fought and died for their village's protection. The young baby who came to be known by the name Carrovegas had been growing as a prodigy child in the art of magic, having already learned the abilities of a Time Mage. Rudavegas, jealous and yet not to be outdone, tried his best to study magic alongside his younger brother; at best he could only summon a carrier pigeon one time and that was about it. He still kept at it, however, taking an interest in stories of magical villains and monsters that fought in attempts to destroy the world; only to be stopped by the "heroic" humans.
His brother began to seem more and more disturbed, however, as years went on. He began to cower away from forested areas and from leaving his home. Rudavegas overheard Carrovegas whispering one time about how he "had to make sure he didn't die again". When questioned, Carrovegas let it slip that he had "died" to human hunters on multiple occasions as they prowled the outskirts of the village, only to be brought back to right before it happened. It had apparently happened enough times to scar the child. It was the first time that Rudavegas saw his brother as more than an obstacle - like someone he had to ensure the survival of, for whatever reason.
Rudavegas began to study more vigorously, and while not able to master any summoning magic above that of a carrier pigeon, he began to develop an affinity for more common magic. Despite this, he was still treated as something of the underachiever of the village due to not being particularly great at either physical or magical related tasks.
One day, the village was invaded by humans. There wasn't much more to say - it was expected eventually, given the prior cycle of death related to goblins. A group consisting of a white-clad Paladin, a dark-robed Black Mage, a scantily clad Ranger and a muscular Monk invaded the village. Their powers surpassed anything the village had defended before, and the strongest fighters of the village were killed very quickly.
As goblins began to flee, Rudavegas and Carrovegas were left behind by their family in the panic. As the Paladin approached the two outside of their burning home, Rudavegas charged in reckless anger with a jagged knife. The Paladin chose to stand their, and the dagger shattered upon contact with his holy armor. With one effortless movement, the tower shield of the Paladin pushed the goblin over... only for him to appear in time to right back before he charged the Paladin with his knife, his little brother tearing up to dissuade him from attacking.
At that moment, an arrow came from behind and pierced through Carrovegas' skull. In his last breath, he bestowed Haste on Rudavegas. Still in shock, Rudavegas forced himself to madly dash out of the village, narrowly dodging arrows left and right.
It's unknown what became of the rest of the Vegatini tribe, but Rudavegas has since been living in the wilds, prowling on the outskirts of human settlements. Biding his time to strike, while studying up on whatever magical books he could find by picking off weaker travelers as they pass by the deeper edges of the woods.
Even if he's not destined for it via some branded mark, Rudavegas is determined to make the goblin king legend a reality by one day summoning all of the world's greatest threats to unite against the tyranny of humanity.
Abilities:
Skill: Beginner's luck. Increase the chance of getting a crit with a spell by 2 points.
Ability: Magic - has a random array of magical spells that they can use... spells may be of either the black or white magic type.
Ability 2: Rest: Can restore anywhere from 25% to 50% of max MP, but uses a turn.
Wields: Wands, Staves, Daggers.
Fire: A basic fire spell that starts a fire underneath your opponent's feet, can cast it up to 30 feet away, but must be able to see an opponent you're casting the spell at. Cost: 2MP. level: 1/1. Damage: 1d6 + (stat modifiers)
Cure: A basic healing spell that will cause the body to regenerate a little bit. It won't heal injuries, but it will being back HP. It can be cast up to 20 feet away, and requires you to see who or what you're healing. Cost: 2MP. level 1/1. Healing: 1d6 + (stat modifiers)

You could insert yourself into the story right now... but it might be better if you started at level two with this equipment...
Silk Robes: Basic, but comfy robes meant for mages... they don't provide much in the way of defense, but they also don't make it any harder to cast magic. DEF: +1, MDEF: +2
Steel Staff: A basic steel rod that was probably not actually meant to be a staff... steel RODS are mass produced for their reliability, and ease of gathering materials, but steel STAVES are a bit harder to come by. Damage: 1d6 + STRmod
As for how to level up, well, in your case, you'll be given a random spell (I rolled a 3 for 'Thunder' magic), and you'll gain stats as such... roll a d3 (or a d6 and divide the result by two, rounding up) for each individual stat, add half of your class' stat bonus to each (again, rounding up.), and calculate your new MP and HP after that. I may want to put the actual per level additive in each class... I'll go edit it in.

Summon Carrier Pidgeon: Summons a small bird that can be used to deliver scrolls, or other paper, as well as anything weighing less than 1lb. These small, magically made birds are often used to deliver invitations to various magical events between humans, and can deliver whatever needs to be delivered to... well, pretty much anywhere within reason. Cost: 1MP. level 0. Damage: 0. Restriction: Must be either a summoner, or an apprentice who will take up summoning to use this spell.
Fire: A basic fire spell that starts a fire underneath your opponent's feet, can cast it up to 30 feet away, but must be able to see an opponent you're casting the spell at. Cost: 2MP. level: 1/1. Damage: 1d6 + (stat modifiers)

With these stats... your Defense would actually be 4 (+1), and your M.Defense would be 7 (+2)... your Attack (STR) would be 4, as well... but that could just be because you rounded down. In this RP, we typically round up, as a general rule of thumb.
Either way, you're accepted. Oh! Oops, completely forgot to give a recap... Basically, we're in the middle of a dirt path, it's just about midnight, and we just killed a human thief for doing his job (stealing stuff). The current objective is to try to figure out information about some strange, grey dust that seems to be spreading around a nearby goblin cave... the group has already been to said cave, and it's been nothing but grey dust, death, and zombies, so there's that.
