Kithra Moore
Kithra watched as Damien picked up the dirty dishes and she wanted to take the plates away and eat the half eaten food, she felt like a starving animal.
Control yourself Kitty! She thought angrily as she tried to control her shaking hand and aching stomach. But the smell and sight of food had her mouth watering and her eyeing Damien. Now she looked back at her life and realized just how much food she had wasted, how she wished she didn't waste so much when there was other like her dying of hunger. She bit her lip as she sat down and listened to Damien as he said he was sorry for the mess and that he wasn't expecting guests. She didn't care as this was the first time she had been in a place other then a cardboard box, she wasn't going to complain.
Once he placed the plate of food infront of her it took all her will power not to look like a pig. "
Thank you." She said as she waited a moment longer as he poured her a glass of juice. Once he sat down and was looking at a book she lifted the sandwich slowly before taking a bite, she chewed slowly before swallowing. Suddenly she remembered that he had asked her a question. "
My name is Kithra, some called me Kitty." She said lowly as she looked at her hands before looking up again. She pink eye most likely looked strange as who had a bright pink eye? "
I take you have a mind gift? You walk like you are unafraid of those around." She said feeling a little bit more confident and comfortable with a little bit of food in her stomach, plus being with another gifted was comforting or was it his gift? What ever the case she was feeling a little better. She took another bite of her sandwich, she was still trying not to look like a pig but it was hard.
Finely she just gave up her self-control and wolfed down the food and the glass of juice. She looked up at Damien smiled shyly, her cheeks going a soft pink colour. "
I.... um... Thank you, you have no idea how hungry I was." She said trying to find her words. She looked down at the eye contacts case and shook her head. She wasn't going to wear someone else's eye stuff, a part of her was weirded out by the thought.
"I will have that shower, but I am fine wearing these clothes again. I don't want to be a burden, plus you have done enough." She said as she looked Damien in the eyes, though she felt like she couldn't hold his gaze. She wasn't sure if it was because her mind was still foggy or because he seem very pretty. It could of been both, but before she could contemplate it she stood up and waited for Damien to give her a towel. Once she did she went to get cleaned up.
Must keep my mind clear! She thought as the fogginess seemed to lift a bit being a bit further away from him. She hoped that he wouldn't ask anything of her, maybe she could dance for him. But that seemed to frightened her, as she hadn't used her gift since she found out what it was.
Once she was done her shower she came out of the bathroom and smiled at Damien as she dried her wet hair. "
Thank you."
Lucky Newman
Lucky was walking around trying to clear his mind when he thought he heard a car door shut. He stood still and waited for the person to come, he knew he could easily make them forget if they were a threat. He waited a moment longer when he before turning around slowly, he took note that the station door was open when he had shut it. So he knew that the person was in the room with him, he looked around the room trying to see if he could find a clue to where they were. There were only a few spots that someone could hide.
"
I know you are in here." He said as he continued to search for the intruder. "
If you are Gifted come out but if you are a Regular leave now." He said regular in a distrust tone, he knew if they left he was going to have to leave as well as they would send hunters or come back with a mob. So needless to say he really hoped that it was another gifted, but then he hoped that it wasn't a Gifted hunter. Ever since the Regulars have come up with that idea it has been hard for Gifted to trust each other.
Divide and conquer. He thought knowing that was the tactic that the Regulars loved to use. So regardless he was ready to use his gift on who ever it was that was in the room with him.
James Lockheart
(side character)
James was a military man and a damn good one too, he knew how to use what he had to bring victory. But now he was fighting a different fight and one that was on his home soil, it was weird fighting on at home. But he knew that he had to as this was a fight that was in every home across the world. It was a war on those known as the Gifted, they were the natural enemy of the human race. Sure they were useful as fodder in other fights and wars, but they were unnatural.
He stood in his office looking out a large window with his hands clasped behind his back, he wondered just how many were hiding in plain sight and how many were truly out there. Just then there was a knock at his door, "
Come in." He said in a gruff voice that held a note of command. He heard the door open and the light tapping of high heal shoes come up behind him. "
Sir, we have reports saying that there is a higher than normal amount of Gifted in the small city of Triva." The woman said in a matter of fact tone.
"
Do we have agents there?"
"Yes sir, but they may not be enough. We already lost agent Terrance Crewe, he was tracking a very dangerous Gifted known to be able to kill. We also have John there, but...." The woman said with slight worry.
James smiled slowly as he turned to look at the young woman, "
Send Greg."
"
But sir, he has been resistant to our training. He has been ordered to be killed."
"
I know Mira, that is why we will send him. They will trust him because he hates us, then we will send in our units to wipe as many of them out. We have implanted him, we will be able to find him...... Leave him an opening to escape." He said before waving his hand signaling that he was done talking. He turned back to the window and smiled darkly, "
You have no idea that you are going to die."
