The Realm of Omicria was at first glance a fairly average place by the standards of the world. It was a mid-sized kingdom with several different races pledging loyalty to a single throne. Although a majority of its inhabitants were humans, large minorities of elves, dwarves, and halflings called it home as well. As with all lands, it held a number of buried secrets and legacies from its past. For now, all was peaceful, but those in the know had every reason to believe that this were merely the calm before the storm.

On this particular day, a group of adventurers were meeting in a nondescript town close to Omicria's southern border. They had no way of knowing what was in store.

Orthak waited in the town square reluctantly leaning on a wall and glaring at those who stopped by him to long, his red eyes quickly sending them on their way. He idly strummed his bow and adjusted his cloak. Supposedly there was supposed to be a group of people meeting here for some sort of job. Theoretically it would be interesting at the least although Orthak already had his doubts about this given the tawdriness of the adventurers that were supposed to show up.

Joshua walked through the crowds of people bumping and bypassing people as he passed through. "I hope the others make it" he thought to himself. He then spotted out of the corner of his eye a half-orc and bard. "They seem to fit image" he thought as he started to approach the two.
"'Quest' is an understatement" Joshua interrupted, "What we're doing will go down in the books for a while."

Orthak looked at the two people that had come up to him disdainfully. One of those flouncy elves, one who appeared to have musical interest and a scrawny looking human boy. Strangely enough the elf had tattoos of sort covering her face in addition to her almost painfully loud hairstyle and the human had... gray eyes? The elf at least looked like she could be of some use but the human looked useless. "Perhaps in your book human but I doubt anywhere else. Do you even know why you're here to be talking so presumptuously?" Orthak asked somewhat abrasively light glinting off his crimson red eyes. So far he was less then impressed with the group so far, though perhaps his expectations were too high.

"It will be in my book indeed." Joshua replied reaching into his backpack and taking out his journal and a pencil. The pages were yellow and some wrinkled due to water and unknown damage. "Sorry if I came on strong" He said writing down and describing the appearances of the elf and orc, "I'm use to doing jobs alone, I guess the order of joining with other people surprised me."
He then closed his journal and placed it back into his back. "My name is Joshua by the way" he said openly, "not to toot my own horn, but I expertise in wizardry."

It had only been a few months since Athull found himself on the road again after a fairly decent mission playing missionary for a wealthy Empress. Now, he rode horseback toward Omicria for yet another escapade of unknown origin. It didn't take too long for the diligent steed to arrive at the town just south of Omicria. Before settling in and stocking up for whatever laid in store for him, he thought a quick stop at the local bar wouldn't be too much of a detour. Luckily for him, a tavern happened to cross his path and a the pleasant sight of a comely bar maid caught his eye. In no time flat, the reigns of Athull's horse were fastened to a wooden support beam and the coy mage found himself a seat at the bar within the Tavern.

With a solid punch the giant of a man went down like a sack of brick. A much smaller human looked at his downed opponent. He had been desperate for the money and it was better than robbing people of their money. So he walked off into the local taver and sat down at one of the tables and put his boots up. His sword stood out from the rest of the room. He was someone not to be messed with.

The dimly lit confines of the less than packed tavern made for a haven to travelers and drinkers from all walks of life. Athull, himself, was from quite far away. But after giving a hearty nod to a near by elf who had just finished tying the beard of a passed out dwarf to the bar counter, He felt quite at home. It was either that, the inebriated shenanigans, or the burn of the liquor as it passed down his gullet. Either way, Athull was delighted to receive his second round of drinks, completely unaware of the time he was losing track of. Not that he kept track of time at all. But if he did, he would be late. The stupor he was drinking himself into kept him oblivious of the other patrons. He hadn't noticed the warrior who just stepped in, nor would he have if it had been any other circumstance. Athull didn't seem to be the observant type. At least not while his face was buried in a mug of ale.

Othrak eyed passerbys menacingly. "Perhaps here is not the best place to discuss this, might a point you to the local tavern?" Orthak asked retorically walking into said establishment and grabbing a large table. "Perhaps the bard cares to entertain us with some music, or is it straight to business?" he asked the elf, mildy interested in hearing some music. He was curious to see what the human would do come time to order, he didn't seem like the drinking type.

Joshua followed the group into the Tavern and took a seat at the table hesitantly. "Interesting place" Joshua commented looking around the tavern's dark atmosphere. Joshua then turned towards the elf. "It would be nice have a listen of your voice, if its no trouble." Joshua added. "Also speaking of business, do you think some people might be willing to join our assignment?" He said openly but quietly so that only the group will hear.
