Healing partially successful.

The base of the Deku Naga shudders quietly, and rescinds into the earth. As it descends, the vines trailing behind it seal its escape off, covering themselves in rocks and dirt. Before you know it, the Deku Naga's vines are gone from sight, safely underground.

You hear loud thuds, coming from the direction of the bridge you took to get in. Hopefully, the revival of the Deku Naga hasn't caused the bridge to move!

Boom's eyes widened in abject horror as he saw the base of the Guardian of the Kokiri come to life. "N-no-no! NO! NO! NO! Thi-thi-thing supposed to be dead! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD! Woman evil! Woman evil!" Boom frantically shook his head in a worrisome tremor. Nodding his head back and forth,he reached towards one of his bombchus, with his limb that wasn't dislocated.

But to his dismay, the creature had fled. Boom dropped the thing down, coating the bombchu with a bit of plant matter. "NO! IT NOT DEAD! BRIDGE GO AWAY! WE DIE NOW! THING BETRAY! THING BETRAY! HEAL BAD-THING!" Boom decried the foul witch.

He turned his attention to the man without any points. "We must flees now. Deku Naga, Oldwood, keep stuff stable. It live, it now trap us! Bring the wood for fireses!" Boom noted to itself. Before a new thought occurred to him.

That was the sound of the direction of the bridge. Loud thuds. "Deku Naga shut it! SHUT IT! ONLY HI-" A new thought occurred to Boom. Now considering, at least to his knowledge he was a trapped rat. There was only one thing left. Brutally fighting for survival.

"Ooooooor.... We murder them all. NOW." Boom scuttled to collect a few of the earlier scattered Bombchus. "Can't let live. Threat. Threat to survival. Deku Naga already shut down path. Boom sure. Hide only give Kokiri time to prepare. We need strike quick and now. Boom know Kokiri plot. Only option is kill now."

However that rousing speech did not stop an injured Boom to get his scattered Bombchus and flee towards the site where the bridge once was.

Granted he did do a single eye glance towards the group, sans Dingle, and away stare before fleeing in a cowardly manner.

As Boom reaches where the bridge was, he finds it right where he left it. However, across from the bridge is what must have been the source of the noise.

Ironwood Dekus.

Dozens of them.

The entire rim of the sinkhole is surrounded by gleaming-metal shapes. Among the crowd, you see the strange spider-contraptions and isopods from the field, evidently for use as beasts of burden and as siege mechanisms.

Just across from the bridge, the formation parts and reveals a possibly massive Ironwood Deku. As tall as one of the isopods and dressed in glimmering gems, the figure strikes an impressive form. He stares at you imposingly, as if waiting for you to come to him.

Mycellium approached the bridge, and saw the dozens of Ironwood Dekus that waited on the other side. This was good, fresh victims, easy to spread. The fungus would grow well upon them. Stepping past the cowardly Kokiri, Mycellium began to waddle across the bridge... And began blaring out the warped and disturbing melodyit knew so well. Not necessarily to harm, but it was quite loud. Loud enough that they would ALL hear.

Boom, still covered in plant visera, just stared at the Ironwood Deku army. He was near an entire army of Ironwoods. This, seemed like it could go wrong either really quickly, or right really quickly. And the formation parted for where there leader was.

Things looked like they were going to go well. Before the Fungus Deku showed up. Boom immediately got onto his knees and did what he did best.

"IRONWOOD STRONG! STRONGER THAN OLDWOOD! BOOM KILL GUARDIAN OF KOKIRI! KOKIRI NOT LIKE BOOM! BOOM WISH PASSAGE."

Striking a peace accord, and quickly, would be key to survival.

No-Point stuck his fingers in his ears. That melody could make even the giant retch. He stepped in the opposite direction from the bridge, back towards the daughter of Tingle and where the guardian had been.

"You regret your destiny, when you should regret the time you live in, Daughter of Tingle!" he declared, his ears still blocked and covered. It didn't matter, the song seeped through anyway, but No-Point stayed upright through sheer grit.

"The time for destiny has passed! The world is hostile, and it is our purpose to stand on top of it when all is done!"

At the sound of Mycellium's songs, some of the Ironwood Deku soldiers shift uncomfortably. The spider-contraptions towards the edge of the crowd shift agitatedly, groaning in protest. Two well-thrown rocks strike Mycellium in the snout, silencing him. Deku of any alignment do not take kindly to Deku of other portions of the forest. The animosity between each breed is incomparable.

At the sound of Boom's anguished groveling, the leader of the Ironwood Deku soldiers appears to tense up. This isn't what he expected from the group that made his job significantly easier.

With the air of a person not used to diplomacy, the Ironwood Deku's leader yells across the ravine.
"Little Kokiri, gather your friends! We of the Ironwood Legion wish to reward you for your actions!"

Boom was quivering a bit as the Ironwood Deku Leader was tensing up. This was usually not a good sign. Did Boom not beg hard enough? He kept his head down as he darted up at the Ironwood Leader, trying to avoid eye-contact. Then, he delivered the message with a strange tone to his voice.

The leader spoke of a reward! Keeping a small smile, Boom frantically nodded his head. "Yes Ironwood Legion! I will gather them! Shall be swift, not wishing to keep such a strong legion waiting!" He eagerly declared. Boom skittered back across the bridge and to the village.

As soon as he returned to the area, where the rest of the Caravan, sans the fungus deku was he spoke up. "Quickly! Deal made. To bridge we go."

Before he could get a reply from the daughter of Tingle, he heard a call from his Kokiri asset. "Follow," he commanded the rest of his team and set out after the explosively-minded Kokiri.

"If you lead us to another trap, you will be the one to trip it, Kokiri. My men will see to it," he murmured, sounding vaguely threatening.

Boom gave a quick nod. "Boom assures you, not trap. Will keeps it in mind, Man with No Pointses. No need for men. Boom fight it like evilbad ungood Kokiri Guardian. For we no want to get hurt." He finished in a rather sycophant like manner, alongside trying to leech off the recent accomplishments. Brown-nosing was sure to keep him in a state of survival.

Skittering back towards the bridge, Boom again dropped to his knees. He darted a pupil upwards towards the Ironwood Legion. "Boom return! Gathered as asked. They did bit in earlier fight. What reward now?" shouted out the small Kokiri.

The leader of the Ironwood Legion examines the assorted members of the Caravan with distaste. Clearly, by their wounds, they have fought. Clearly, by what the Legion's scouts saw over the town's buildings, the Deku Naga had been defeated. This ragtag bunch of misfits would surely have been the ones to do it, regardless of what they look like. The leader lets loose a frustrated groan, and speaks across the sinkhole once more.
"Little Kokiri, these are those who defeated the Naga? I shall have to commend you all for doing our jobs for us, then. I, Baux, Centurion of the Ironwood Legion, come with two gifts.

The first... is Amnesty. I will allow you to pass through my men unmolested. Do not take advantage of this gift."

The Legion's soldiers chuckle lightly, and untense themselves. Each of them steps back, and spreads out. The Centurion continues his speech.

"The second... is Knowledge. Your actions deserve a reward, though not even all the jewels of the Ironwoods could possibly be enough. Instead, I shall answer one question from each of you. Think wisely, for you will only get one.

Come closer, so that I may present you both gifts. Step lively, for night is falling and my men ache for combat."

The Centurion steps away from the bridge, and further into the forest. The Legion once again converges, and forms a wall of bodies blocking off all access, except to the Centurion.

"Look, I already know what reward I'm asking for."

Something simple, that would require minimal effort from the Ironwood Deku. That would get her one step closer to claiming her home: Finding out where the fuck it is. She removed the pointy hood from her head, letting her long red hair flow down and revealing the tracing of leaves and vines just below her hairline.

"My name is Dingle. I am the daughter of the union of Tingle and the fairy queen Pinkle- and I seek to claim my birthright as a Great Fairy! Tell me- where can I find the Fairy Fountain of the Twisted Acres?"

The Centurion scratches the jewels on his jawplate, deep in thought. A tinny hum escaped from his mouth, and he looked down at Dingle.

"The Fairy Fountain? It can be found at the heart of the Fungiwoods. Take care in travelling, little Dingle, for the Fungiwood have no concept of diplomacy. Low cunning and hatred are all that exists in their twisted hearts. Travel to where the spore clouds glow blue, and follow the sound of rushing water. You will find your goal soon enough.

Though he struggled to comprehend the message of the Ironwood Centurion, Mycellium knew well enough from the tone of voice that it was intended as an attack on either himself or the Fungus. Had Mycellium been capable of anger, he would definitely have been frothing with it. It was lucky for both his travelling companions and the Ironwood Dekus that he was not. He understood certain words that were said, "Fountain", "Water", "Clouds glow blue"... They were talking about the heart of the Fungiwood Forest. A journey to where he was spawned. Perfect for Mycellium. With that, he began journeying forward towards a location he knew instinctively.

Boom was still crouched down as he was speaking rapidly and in an incoherent manner to himself. He gave a relieved smile, as the Ironwood Deku leader promise amnesty for safe travel through there parts. That, was sure to be the most important gift of this night. However, they offered a second one. The gift of knowledge.

"We only get one." Boom turned to himself as he began chattering his teeth. "Yesssss we musts chooses good one." Thoughts racked through the kokiri's mind. Knowledge was power, and he needed to choose one that would benefit him. And he would need to pick something guarded enough, that the rest of the caravan could not use completely against Boom.

However, there was one thing he did desire the answer to. And he was willing to risk some knowledge to be shared, if only to learn part of what he truly wanted. Quickly he skittered over the bridge with his sack, and glanced towards Centurion Baux. Boom glanced over to his side a few times in a nervous fretting. He decided on what he would ask.

The Ironwood Legion would surely know much of weaponry. After all they were a people of war, or at least the Ironwood Legion was of war. Surely they would know of the Great Bombsmith. If he could get some more prominent knowledge of the man, and his great factory, Boom would be able to gather copious amounts of dangerous explosives. And with that knowledge and power, Boom would be ever more deadly and of course bring more explosive destruction to the world.

"Where is the workshop of 'He Who Makes the Mountains Quake'?" Boom inquired reverently.

The Centurion is speechless. It takes a solid minute of thought before he gives up, and calls one of his soldiers over. A diminutive Deku, hunched over by an immense wire-basket filled with explosive Ironwood Nuts stained with gunpowder and scorchmarks scuttles through the crowd and looks Boom directly in the eye.

"He Who Makes the Mountains Quake?" he says, his voice trembling with devout awe. "None know. However, there are two obvious choices."

"One is the Guru at the top of Mount Nu-Goro. It is said that the Guru knows how to condense Nu-Goro's own eruptions into spherical form. When they detonate, they unleash a maelstrom of magma and righteous fury."

"The other is far north, in the Bulblin Lands. Stories tell of a pillar of flame and smoke rising from the scrap-metal fortress surrounding the core of the Crater of Life. I'm sorry, but none of us know any more."

The Centurion nods at the tiny Deku Demolitionist, and bids him away with a wave of his hand.

"I hope you have your answer, Little Kokiri. A word of warning: the residents of Nu-Goro are vile brutes, but the Bulblins are more vile still."

Boom smiled as the kindred spirit gave him the information he sought. While not the exact location of the Great One, it was enough to work with. Both would be excellent leads on this quest. But while only one would be 'He Who Makes the Mountains Quake', both would provide great knowledge on the art of explosives. That was something Boom would appreciate very dearly.

As the small kindred demolitionist left, Boom gave a nod to him. "Thanks be given. May your bombs be ever destructive, and the bane of your foes." He returned his attention towards the Centurion. "Warning much appreciated."

No-Point did not have any questions, save one.

"Ironwood friends!" he boomed. "Very soon I will implement my master plan, which will bring benefit and power to those without it! Will you assist me when the time comes? Your reward will be great!"

"Alright you little pyromaniac, you're next."

Dingle walked over to Boom, humming her little tune and putting her hands on the kokiri's shoulder. Though it did nothing for his diminished bombchus, the kokiri's acid burns subsided, his joint popped back into place, and his bones knit quickly.

"Hey, since I made you less broken, do you mind helping me to cram all this hair back into my hat?"

The Centurion's gaze levels at No-Point, and bores through him. A wicked glint shines through as Baux flexes his knuckles irritably.

"You think, just because you inconvenienced the Naga, that you have the right to make vassals of us? Stifle your pride, fleshling, or I will demonstrate the faults of such a frail form! Do not think the Ironwood has any interest in your petty squabbles and power struggles. We do as the Ironwood demands, and nothing will stray us from this path."
