Let us tell an old story anew and we will see how well you know it. Once upon a time, there were two kingdoms that were the worst of neighbors. So vast was the discord between them, it was said only a great hero or a terrible villain might bring them together. In one kingdom, lived folk like you and me with a vain and greedy king to rule over them. This race called Asgardian, on this realm they call Asgard. They were forever discontent and envious of the wealth and beauty of their neighbors. For in the other kingdom, the Moors lived every manner of strange and wonderful creatures. And they needed neither king nor queen, but trusted in one another. In a great tree, on a great cliff in the Moors lived one such spirit. You might take her for a woman. But she was not just any woman, she was a fairy. Her name was Maleficent...
The figure spread its huge feathered wings as it leaped off the cliff. Flapping its wings gracefully over the waters of the realm and dodging cliffs. Into the clouds, giving a grin with the wind against through the female's hair, she flew through the trees with every flap of her huge wings. She stopped on the arch of a cliff until she heard a cry. It was small, but loud. Following the sound with her elf-like ears, she noticed something at the forest border. The cries got louder until she got close and landed with a tiny thud. Folding her wings behind her back, Maleficent looked close at the small figure that wore nothing but a blanket. Gasping in surprise, having to never see such a life on the ground away from society. Seeing the young one with no such decal from the kingdom of Asgard, this was no trick. Making small cooing sounds as she picked it up and cuddled it. The fairy made a smile as the young one made its own smile. Walking back to the forest with the child in hand, she raised it as her own. Calling him...Loki.
